I decided to take my 3 yr old dog here when he stopped eating and drinking. He was very lethargic and not acting like himself. I must say they were very good with time, I didn't wait long. However, the initial exam was done and the vet said they saw nothing wrong, they asked if I would like to have xrays or blood work done next. I felt like they should have known what the next step was, I am not the expert. They continued by doing xrays ($153), said they found nothing. I was told they he could be depressed, said he was a little dehydrated $35 for fluids. I was told i could take him home and things got worse to bring him back in to the ER. I was told to put him on a bland diet, consisting of rice and chicken.I called another vet, I was told to give him a stool softener, that he may have impacted stool, to my surprise, he next morning he was able to go to the bathroom, and he felt much better.
