I decided to take my 3 yr old dog here when he stopped eating and drinking. He was very lethargic and not acting like himself. I must say they were very good with time, I didn't wait long. However, the initial exam was done and the vet said they saw nothing wrong, they asked if I would like to have xrays or blood work done next. I felt like they should have known what the next step was, I am not the expert. They continued by doing xrays ($153), said they found nothing. I was told they he could be depressed, said he was a little dehydrated $35 for fluids. I was told i could take him home and things got worse to bring him back in to the ER. I was told to put him on a bland diet, consisting of rice and chicken.I called another vet, I was told to give him a stool softener, that he may have impacted stool, to my surprise, he next morning he was able to go to the bathroom, and he felt much better. Apparently the rice didn't help, it swells in their stomachs, and is usually given to dogs when
