We live here in Park City, and no matter who we entertain, friends or business associates ZOOM always delivers.... great inventive menu with great American classics, food quality ...

Used to be great, but Redford is slacking 10/29/2009

When in doubt go to Zoom. I mean the Sundance Kid owns the place, how could it be bad. For years the first choice establishment of park city celeb and deer valley residents, it has gone down hill in recent years. I always want to give Zoom another chance and I leave with a heavy heart. That said, I will probably try it again, because, well I am sucker for fireplaces and aging blond actors. The uptairs room is quiet, cozy and good for small parties. Pros: Great ambiance Cons: Food is mediocre more

I don't recommend it. Not great food. 12/31/2008

Sorry to say, this place does not deliver on expectations as far as the food goes. They have a nice sounding menu but the food was not up to par. The onion rings and the baked macaroni & cheese appetizers were good though. Pros: Onion rings and mac & cheese Cons: Everything else more

ALWAYS GREAT FOOD & FUN..... 12/26/2008

We live here in Park City, and no matter who we entertain, friends or business associates ZOOM always delivers.... great inventive menu with great American classics, food quality is very high, service is good with servers that know what they are talking about....I always choose the "special". My grandma used to live upstairs when it was a train depot, so we love to eat upstairs... kid's have plenty to choose from, and even sophisticated palette's will be satisfied. It is well worth the wait, look at the cool pictures of Redford and have a great meal and experience... Pros: always great food & specials Cons: parking, not enough seats during rush times more

Best there is in Park City 12/12/2008

I have been going to Zooms since it opened and have never been disappointed. The food is always prepared to a high standard. The ambiance is fun, the service professional, and most importantly you feel like you got value for you money. more

Zoom has good service and ambiance, but the food was below average 8/30/2008

My wife and I dropped $200 at Zoom this weekend. We ordered a nice bottle of champagne, appetizers, entrees and dessert. The service and ambiance was good, but the food was below average - especially for the price. I ordered a filet mignon - (medium) and it came out well done. The potato's lacked flavor too. It's the first time I've spent that much at a restaurant and left food on my plate. My wife didn't care for the ravioli. It came out overcooked and flavorless. Pros: good service, nice ambiance Cons: poor food quality, overpriced more

All around my favorite spot in PC 8/27/2008

Food, comfort, services, value and general enjoyment I would pick Zoom if I had to chose one restaurant. I've only eaten here twice now, but have never had any problems and the groups I've been with have all generally agreed that the food and service were superb. Pros: Food, Service, value Cons: nuttin more

Decent Food, a little overpriced for the ambience 7/23/2008

I visited Zoom with a client during Sundance '08. We had heard good things about the restaurant, and decided to stop by on a whim. We were greeted warmly, and were informed that there would be a 20 minute wait (very typical for a lunchtime walk-in during lunch this time of year). The service was friendly while we waited, and we were soon seated in a corner booth. Our waitress was a lovely but very clueless girl, and were she not so amusing I'm afraid we would have had a miserable experience as far as service was concerned for the remainder of our meal. We ordered the spicy buffalo onion rings, and were unimpressed. No one (there were 4 of us) could detect any hint of 1)spiciness or 2)"buffalo" flavor. Though they were bland, they were served hot and the bleu-cheese dip was very good. One of our party had the Ham sandwich, and indicated that it wasn't anything to write home about. I had the Saffron Scented Creamy Risotto, and enjoyed it thoroughly. In fact, it was shared by all of us, as it was the most popular dish on this particular visit. It was just what it purported to be: creamy, saffron-"scented" and aged balsamic reduction with vegetables. We didn't spring for dessert, as we had dinner reservations. Overall, I was satisfied with the food and enjoyed my lunch, but am unlikely to return with so many fantastic restaurants in Park City. Pros: Good Risotto Cons: Boring Onion Rings, clueless waitress more

Comforting comfort food 4/18/2008

One of the local tourist pamplets listed Zoom as the place rated ""best burger"" so it was an easy decision when my husband expressed his desire for a burger one evening. We were seated in the dining room where the grill area is in open view and initally it felt quite warm but once we asked our server if the temperature could be adjusted it was fine. The menu has a nice variety of appetizers, salads and entrees. While my husband's decision for the burger was a done deal, I pondered the ribs or pasta. Our server asked which I would most likely not make at home which was the ribs so I settled on that. My husband also expressed an interest in a side of mac & cheese to share which I certainly did not refuse. We split a salad that had a tasty gorgonzola dressing to start. Before long our entrees arrived. The burger was huge (served with hand cut fries) and my half slab of ribs covered the plate. We traded samples of each others meals and were both very happy with our choices. The burger was moist and not dense like some and my ribs were some of the best I have ever had. The sauce had the right balance of sweet and spicy. You know, besides being a great looking leading man and director, this Bob Redford guy has it goin' on at Zoom (guess you can figure out how the place got its name)! Would absolutely come back and already craving those ribs! Pros: food Cons: dining room can get stuffy and hot more

Ok food, overpriced 4/2/2008

2 salads, 2 main course, 2 desserts (no drinks) we got out at $80 something. Caesar salads were..average. The half roasted chicken left a lot to be desired. The potatoes had no seasoning whatsoever and the 'gravy' was more of a skimpy light reduction rather than a gravy. My husbands ham and swiss sandwich and fries was way better than mine. Dessert was light, the pumpkin mousse was good but only for the first few spoonfuls. Overall the food wasn't bad, but wasn't worth the price tag. We were sat upstairs which became a little loud after other tables were sat but when we left (7:30) the two downstairs rooms were ROARING. We were so glad that we were upstairs because the noise was just overwhelming downstairs. Thanks Zoom but we'll keep looking. Pros: good location, isolated upstairs dining, good portions Cons: loud downstairs, overpriced more

Hard to Find but Give it A Try! 3/28/2007

Great food, but a bit pricey. I went for my birthday and I'm glad I made reservations in advance! The place was filled on a Monday night! Try to get seating upstairs, and Order the Steak. Service IS slow but not too bad. Great wine selection! The place is hard to find on the street, and of course Parking is always a hassle! Stay away from the Blondie. It was hard and not tasty at all! more
