Decent Food, a little overpriced for the ambience 7/23/2008

I visited Zoom with a client during Sundance '08. We had heard good things about the restaurant, and decided to stop by on a whim. We were greeted warmly, and were informed that there would be a 20 minute wait (very typical for a lunchtime walk-in during lunch this time of year). The service was friendly while we waited, and we were soon seated in a corner booth. Our waitress was a lovely but very clueless girl, and were she not so amusing I'm afraid we would have had a miserable experience as far as service was concerned for the remainder of our meal. We ordered the spicy buffalo onion rings, and were unimpressed. No one (there were 4 of us) could detect any hint of 1)spiciness or 2)"buffalo" flavor. Though they were bland, they were served hot and the bleu-cheese dip was very good. One of our party had the Ham sandwich, and indicated that it wasn't anything to write home about. I had the Saffron Scented Creamy Risotto, and enjoyed it thoroughly. In fact, it was shared by all of us, as it was the most popular dish on this particular visit. It was just what it purported to be: creamy, saffron-"scented" and aged balsamic reduction with vegetables. We didn't spring for dessert, as we had dinner reservations. Overall, I was satisfied with the food and enjoyed my lunch, but am unlikely to return with so many fantastic restaurants in Park City. Pros: Good Risotto Cons: Boring Onion Rings, clueless waitress more
