Best of the best 11/1/2002

A small place with big taste! Very unique and if you love adding garlic as a topping... well let's say you'll not need to fear any vampires soon. since moving out of the area I try to get one of Zelda's pizzas every time I visit. Pros: frozen take out Cons: limited seating more

Out of your way pizza 10/16/2002

Zelda's definitely has the best pizza in Sacramento. I go out of my way to have it! Don't go there if you're expecting friendly service, you won't get it. You will get the best pizza ever, though! Definitely call ahead even if you plan to eat it there. Price is very reasonable. Pros: food, price Cons: service, seating more

Chicago comes West!!!! 9/4/2002

This is by far the best pizza in the area. If you like deep dish Chicago style pizza you will love Zelda's. The food is great, place is old and cool, and they treat you like you are in an old school Chicago pizza joint. Don't dress up, don't come for service, but be prepared to eat some incredible pizza!!!!!! P.S. - Call ahead and order - even if you plan to eat there! Pros: pizza, pizza, pizza Cons: service, wait, seating more

Student affectionado 8/16/2002

As a Sacramento Law student, I became enthralled by Zelda's product and Zelda's facility. Both were great fun. When it comes to Pizza pie, I have never had a pie I enjoyed more. You really must try it. It may be, as far as I know, the best Pizza on the West Coast. more

Best Dough for the Dough 8/13/2002

Zelda's crust is what makes the pizza, that and the aged pizza pans. Nothing beats a Zelda's combination pizza, the speciality salad, and a glass of Chardonnay -- except maybe more pizza. more

Best Pizza in town 8/13/2002

Undeniably unique taste. Definately a break from the ol norm of funky cheese, peperoni, and sauce. Try this pizza, but make sure to order at least 45 minutes ahead of time. They're partially cooked 'to go' pizza is great of you want to take home... more

Best value - Great food - Comfortable 8/12/2002

If you like the upscale ""dive"" type go to Zelda's. This is the best pizza for the best price in all Sacramento. The only draw back is no reservations taken. Prepare to wait on Thurs-Sat or get in early. Bring cash. Pros: Great Food, Great Price, Casual Cons: No reservations, Can be a long wait, Ate too much more

Unique Pizza 8/8/2002

If you are looking for Pizza Hut, you have come to the wrong place. This is a unique pie, and not everyone will go for the subtlety and texture of this interesting experience. Pros: great pizza Cons: crowded more

Great pizza 8/5/2002

Excellent variety and unique offerrings. You can't find a better place for pizza! more

GREAT Pizza, just overlook the ambience! 7/23/2002

This is the best pizza in the state! I recommend the Spinoccoli, Pesto or Vegitarian pizza. Spinoccoli is the best. They even have good hamburgers, but the pizza overshadows the rest of the menu. The wait staff is quick yet rude. However, if you come already expecting attitude, you won't be disappointed. The food is so good that it could be served by the devil (and you wouldn't care)! Pros: Spinoccoli, Pesto, Vegitarian Cons: Ambience more

chicago in sacramento 7/18/2002

Excellent! The crusts with a crunchy cornmeal finish is what sets Zelda's pizza apart from others. The toppings are unlike any others also, try the spinoccoli, new spinach, or pesto with garlic and fresh tomato's. I like the ambiance too, dark, noisy, and the bar scene is lots of fun. It takes 30 minutes to bak a pizza, call ahead and have them start one before you arrive. Pros: excellent taste, average priced, take out/take n bake Cons: street parking only more

momma mia 7/18/2002

Throw em in the Dungeon 6/22/2002

Dark place... you literally can't see what you're eating. Be prepared to wait 45 min. The service sucks because tips are automatically added to the bill... they don't have to earn a tip basically. The place looks lame with glitter on the ceiling and christmas lights on the walls. They refuse to welcome the 21st century as they don't accept credit cards... you'll have to use their ATM machine if you don't bring enough cash. They'd rather make an additional $1.50 off ya instead of paying the bank 10 cents to validate your card. Some more cheapness... you're only allowed 1 refill of your small cup. As for the pizza... the crust is hard, kinda greasy, didn't taste nearly as good as we expected. I don't recommend it. Pros: real sausage, ordered at door, jukebox Cons: service sucks, pizza tastes bad, fees (ATM, auto-tip) more
