I love the Lobster Fig Pizza from Zebra's! You can get it at the bar and sink into the couches to eat it or order it in the dining room. The night is perfect if I can get my hus...

Worst

I thought I would give Zebra's one more try tonight. On occasions I have had a very good meal, but more often than not, nothing special. Not worth the prices they are charging. ...

Eclectic menu has something for everyone. Food and service never disappoint! 7/16/2007

We shy away from the typical unimaginative and noisy ""family dining"" establishments that unfortunately dominate the 'burbs. So what a relief to have Zebras right around the corner! Sometimes we dine in the comfy bar/lounge, where we relax on loveseats or cushy chairs and have a quick meal from the bar menu. But we usually eat in the main dining room, where we enjoy a warm but quiet ambiance no matter how many others patrons are there. The menu features imaginative dishes that offers something for everyone-including vegetarian dishes upon request. Our favorites? My husband loves the sushi, and I am a little obsessed with the lobster and fig pizza. The hostesses and wait staff are always smiling and attentive, which completes this near-perfect dining experience. I love the focus and passion the owners have for their restaurant- they vary the menu regularly, offer uinque dinners/classes, actively seek feedback, and offer a rewards program. Pros: An upscale ""city"" dining experience in the burbs Cons: The bean dip served with the bread; not open for lunch more

Great ambiance, food that is inventive and beautifully presented along with great service. 7/16/2007

Zebra's Bistro is a remarkable for a suburban restaurant. You do not expect a local bistro to be so good. Pros: Ambience, Local Establishment with Great Food, Good Wines, Ample parking! more

Best Sushi in Metrowest 7/16/2007

Zebra's Bistro has the BEST sushi in Metrowest, maybe the entire Boston area. Before you have your sushi though, you would be missing out if you don't try their Lobster, Fig, & Blue Cheese Pizza, the best appetizer I have ever had, anywhere! Pros: Sushi, Appetizers, Service, Ambience more

amazing pizza, great seafood 7/16/2007

We have been eating at Zebra's for 4 or 5 years now. The Pizza with lobster, figs, blue cheese and toasted corn is simply the best tasting concoction I have ever had in the form of a Pizza. I never get to try anything else because I don't want to miss it. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.. They always have 3 or 4 different seafood dishes but my favorite tends to be the Diver Scallops, plump, fresh and oh so tender. Pros: Great place to eat, creative menu changes with the season, Amazing Pizza, excellent sushi Cons: only the chairs could be more comfortable more

Great sushi! 7/16/2007

The sushi is awesome, as is the lobster pizza. The atmosphere is fabulous - a great bit of ""urban"" in suburbia. more

Our favorite restaurant in and out of Boston 7/16/2007

My wife and I have been dining at Zebras for almost 6 years. In addition to the two of us going for a casual meal on our own, we have dined there with those of our friends that we really like and, when one of our daughters became engaged, Craig even found a way to get a group of 10 of us on a Saturnday evening. The dinner and brunch menus always offer great choices and we like the fact that each time we visit them, there is something new on the menu. more

Zebra's Bistro and Wine bar 7/16/2007

I have been enjoying Zebra's since it opened. I have never been disappointed by anything--from starters through desserts. The appetizers, salads and entrees are always very creative, made with fresh everything, and extremely difficult to choose between--any seafood dish is usually my choice, and the Charcuterie is delicious! Zebra's is right up there with some of the top spots in town---I come from the South Shore, so not worrying about traffic and parking is a bonus. Pros: Free parking, excellent service more

Great suburban restaurant. 7/16/2007

Great atmosphere and food west of Boston. Great sushi too. Highly recommended. The brunch menu is different and yummy! more

Great steak presented creatively 7/16/2007

Zebra's is a wonderful place to eat. We go there often because of the great food that is presented creatively, We have always found the atmosphere to be friendly and the service to be excellent. The steak is especially good but everything that I have ever ordered has been delicious. Pros: Great food and service more

A Real Gem! 7/16/2007

We visit Zebra's as often as possible. It's so nice to have a high quality restaurant so close to home! We usually come with a group of friends, and everyone always leaves very, very satisfied. Our favorite dishes are the lobster pizza and anything on the sushi menu. Save room for dessert. It's always worth every sinful calorie!! Keep up the great work Craig and all the staff! Pros: Funky bar area, alwats great food and service Cons: Not super romantic, seating a little close together more

Best sushi anywhere 7/16/2007

The sushi is by far the best we have ever tasted and we have been enjoying sushi from establishments in Boston and the suburbs for many, many years. You must try the Spider Roll (soft shell crab) and the Shrimp Tempura Roll. One more thing... there is nothing like the lobster pizza appetizer with figs, blue cheese and corn. You will not believe how well these ingredients taste together!! Pros: Great Atmosphere for groups or couples more

Great Sushi and Wine Selections! 7/16/2007

We frequent Zebra's and love the food, atmosphere and the service. The sushi is always great -- love the Spider Rolls, can't find one that is better. The main courses are always good, too, but I'm a real fan of the appetizers and the sushi. Also love the bar's couches and chair seating. more

Out of this world seafood! 7/8/2007

When we moved the metro west area of Boston from San Francisco, I thought we were in restaurant waste land. Lots of typical dull suburban restaurants, but none of the great small bistros like we had in bay area, we had no choice but to drive into Boston. Then we discovered Zebra's Bistro. Zebra's reminds us of home and is better than the drive into Boston. Out of this world seafood and the hip, trendy, unpretentious dining experience we have missed so much without the hassle of going into town. Great Find! Great staff too! Pros: Awesome seafood! more

Always hoppin'; creative dishes; nice atmosphere 1/29/2007

We have been many times and the food is almost always excellent. The salads are very good, especially the endive salad. The scallops, salmon and sea bass are very good, as well. I would suggest the scallops or sea bass as the salmon is rather plain. The asparagus wrapped in some sort of crust is delicious. On our last visit my salmon was cold and by the time it came to the table, my husband had just about finished his dinner. On one visit, the waiter forgot our appetizer. But, that's unusual and all in all, it's a great neighborhood restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. The dishes are creative and varied. Desserts are yummy. Staff is always pleasant. Decor is pretty and dining room is relaxing.. Pros: Nice atmosphere, creative menu, parking more

Oasis in the suburbs 7/13/2006

An upscale restaurant with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Excellent food with pleasing presentation. Sterling service ! more

Best Metro-west sophisticated dining 7/9/2006

Not having a great restaurant near home was the worst part of leaving the city for the suburbs. Zebra's has changed all that for us. Sophisticated food and wine with a casual atmosphere just a few miles from home. Everyone feels comfortable -- your in-laws and your 18 year old son. The sushi is fabulous and one of my favorite take-outs. Also, outrageously sinful after dinner coffees. more

Great service and unbelievable food for a suburb restaurant 7/9/2006

Zebra's is a must try! Creative and consistenly delicious food; whether you are there for sushi, brunch or dinner. Relaxed atmosphere with friendly, prompt and servers who know their food. A must try is the medfield roll and the rainbow roll for sushi! more

Civilized brunch in Metro-West! No, I'm not kidding! 7/7/2006

Attention foodies! You no longer have to sell pints of red stuff to park in the South End and enjoy a fabulous brunch on Sunday morning! Pros: Food, Ambience, Family-Friendly Cons: Coffee is average more

Abience and good food in the suburbs! 7/7/2006

Languish in the suburbs no more! Zebra's Bistro & Wine Bar gives you the feel of the South End without the traffic and parking nightmares. The bar is wonderful, with a lounge atmosphere where you can relax on comfy sofas and chairs and chat with your friends, enjoy a terrific selection of wines (can't decide? try a wine flight) and some tasty apps. And, if you enjoy al fresco dining, this is the place in the summer. Pros: food and ambience Cons: can be tough to get in on the weekends - make reservations more

Best everything anywhere 7/7/2006

Ever want to go out with a special someone for a special time? Ever want to impress that special someone with YOUR recommendation for that special place? From A to Z (ebra's)? There is no disappointment at Zebra's. One night my best friend and I decided to chat over a good glass of wine. And, we don't really get out much to do this. I suggested Zebra's. The bedraggled feel of the working mom facade melts away when you walk into Zebra's and are greeted by the friendly sophisticated staff. We decided to sit at the beautiful bar, decorated with beautiful wines from all over the world. And, what do they say about women? We cannot make up our mind? The bartender made us feel like we were touring the wine country in Sonoma. He suggested a few dry white chardonnay's and gave us a sample to make up our minds. A personable and extremely wise fellow from Sudbury, we cast our cares while we sipped a delicate glass of wine. What I like most is the personable touch, ""are we outside of Boston?"" I thought. This was one night I didn't miss my hometown of Seattle. Recently by daughter turned 16 and I decided to take her to an early dinner, just the two of us. Being a dork, I knew this was going to be a painful experience for her, so I decided to sweeten the deal and take her to Zebra's. She LOVES seafood. We ordered a beautiful salad and the scallops. The sea scallops were pan seared, delicate and juicy. My daughter started to smile and forgot she was in the compnay of her mother. I think she felt all grown up. We couldn't leave without dessert and we ordered a sampling of a few chocolate numbers, they melted in our mouth. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure whether my daughter loved the food or the waiter more, maybe it was a tie. Zebra's atomosphere, staff, fine wine and food do their job carefully, in a sophisticated manner, and make you feel like you've just been to a food spa. Like I said before, from A to Z, Zebra's is a tasty treat. more
