As another reviewer said, this was recommended by a hotel concierge, but food was terrible, the ribs were out in 5 mins felt like it was microwaved and not even close to authentic. The empanadas were barely warm. Two meals and two drinks, $100 down and no joy more

YUC(K)A! Good mojitos but food was awful. Went at the recommendation of the concierge and extremely disappointed by the food quality and taste. I swear the empanadas were microwaved frozen Goya brand from the supermarket! The mashed potatoes were gross ( and who thought it was a good idea to put this under a shrimp appetizer?). We later tried Havana 1957 for Cuban and it was perfect! more

We had a wonderful light lunch al fresco. Our waiter, Kyle, was very friendly and knowledgable about the menu. We started with Mojitos which were delicious and not too sweet. Our appetizers were the bacon wrapped dates and chorizo stuffed roasted red peppers. Both were outstanding. For our entrees we had ceviche and churrasco salad which were great. We finished the meal by sharing the "sponge cake". It was really delicious, but more like a flan or custard than cake. I would difinitely eat here again. more

This hip, happening restaurant in South Beach sits on a busy corner of the Lincoln pedestrian mall. I'd choose to sit outside -- better to watch the parade of passerbys, like Jersey Shore wannabes, working girls, families, frat boys, etc. Don't skip the cocktail menu -- especially the mojito, a generous serving of freshly muddled mint and rum. The food was uninspired. The habanero guac lacked heat and flavor; the pork shank was too sweet and the ropa vieja was bland and pasty. The service was friendly and attentive. more

We were looking for a place to have lunch. We saw YUCA and walked in. The hostess was very nice an accomodating. The service was excellent. We chose to sit inside and were seated by the window. We decided to have somt Tapas. All I can say is that the food was fantastic. The presentation and the flavors were world class. You have to try this place. more

The meal I had wasn't bad. The problem was that when I got home, I discoveref that they ran my credit card for two different meals. I ate there once. If you go, do not pay with a credit card. They tried to burn me but I caught it. more

Beautiful restaurant... Known for their mojitos... We had the BEST Yummy Cuban food here while visiting South Beach... lots of seating inside and outside... we opted to be inside with the A/C since the humidity was a killer this August.\r We had a party of 7 and everyone at the table loved their meal. I had the churrasco with congri and fried sweet plantains.. That right there hit the spot!! Satisfying my Cuban craving!! more

I sat in the best table in the outside patio, a magical place, watching the trees, the sunset, simply wonderful. The decor is amazing. \r The names in the menus were strange, I did not know if they were cool or sucked. Now I know it is the best Cuban-Latin American food in South Beach. YUCA is famous for its mojitos and its delicious Ropa Vieja and Rabo Encendido....my girlfriend and I had those two and everything was delicious. We shared a cheesecake flan for dessert and it was great!. The five stars i give to Yuca are simply because of the romanticism this place handles and the good food and service it offers. more

The food was good, but the service wasn't that great... it seems like most of Miami is like that. It was rather expensive for what you got. more

Mediocre food and even if you order small plates and don't drink much, you'll walk away $100 lighter and less than satisfied. Look elsewhere. more

The BEST skirt steak I've had in my life. Too bad they don't have a restaurant in New York. Amazing! more

One my top ten worse restaurants. Slow service. Took 45 minutes to get a Cuban sandwich. Service had a I don't give a crap attitude. Food was horrible. Sandwich lack seasoning, was cold and the fries were soggy. $35 for two people to eat here. Stay away! more

I always hit this place when I am in South Beach. The food is good, the drinks are great, and there is great atmosphere on South Beach. It's a great place for an exciting night... more

Over rated and over priced. Come on it's Cuban food not French cuisine. Why would you want to pay these prices for rice and beans, and the flavors don't compare to what you can get at less expensive places. more

Great service and Cuban food. If you are looking for an ethnic experience this is the place to do it. Also has the best mojitos in town. Ask for Christian at the bar and he will make you a great drink. more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 11/23/2009

That is probably the only word that comes to mind when I think of this place. Our appetizers were inedible, our meal was over-spiced and generally bad, and we were completely unable to chew the meat. The only good thing I can say is that the plates looked pretty. The service was also quite slow and rude. I would never return. You are better off eating at ANY of the numerous restaurants in the area! more

Great Customer Service, Yummy Food, Awesome Cocktails... 9/10/2008

Had just arrived in South Beach and took a walk from the Gansevoort. Somehow found the Lincoln Rd Mall by chance and decided to take a chance when we saw the menu outside. It was the first time we were asked how the salmon should be prepared. Salmon?!!! Man, I was wondering how good it would be if they paid so much attention to detail. My fiance loved the salmon and I loved the Churassco..I admit I tried her salmon and it was so tender and flavorful..mmmmm..But best of all was the Margarita del Mar (served in a martini glass)..I thought it might not be enough but it was the Best margarita I have had and not watered down like any drink you pretty much find in South Beach..I ordered 2....Great Experience. Be prepared to spend approx. 150 dollars to 200 dollars for two....it was totally worth it. Pros: Drinks and Food Cons: Need to turn up the A/C more
