My husband and I decided to purchase appliances at Young's because we had used them in the past and like to support smaller, local businesses. We were satisfied with the pricing that we got for our multiple appliance purchase. However, we were VERY disappointed that we were not informed that the KitchenAid cabinet depth refrigerator would stick out from the cabinets and would show black on the sides. The only reason that we purchased that appliance was so that we could have the wood panel installed. It looks great except that the sides are black. Apparently in talking to others, this has been an ongoing problem with this appliance and if we had been informed of such we would have just chosen a stainless steel model. Overall satified, but VERY disappointed with this issue.
RESPONSE FROM Young's Appliances:
I'm sorry you are disappointed. I worked with you and your husband during the selection process. I know we discussed the issue and I know I showed you a picture of what it would look like. In fact, I have made it mandatory for my staff to do likewise for every customer considering this application. So I am very surprised you mention this now. Since we don't have this refrigerator with a panel on display, we use a photo as our example. In a phone call from your husband about this issue, I reminded him of the photo and the discussion we had on how it would look. He recalled that conversation and the photo. I don't know what else I could have done. I'm sorry you feel this way. Young's does everything we can to make sure our customers' expectations are met or exceeded. Doug Samuels
