The Yakety Yak store on University used to provide professional and friendly service. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful, so I went there in June when my parents' cell phone was lost in the mail. Within a week, they had to replace the battery and charger, even so the person reassured me that everything was in good condition. At that time, one of the staff members told me that he could fix my Nokia phone for $70, so I brought it in for repair a few weeks ago. Within an hour the phone started to display the same problems that eventually caused it to malfunction. Going back to the store, the employee completely disregarded my concerns and the person who told me he could fix the phone, he said, that it is probably the screen which the manufacturer does not make anymore for that reason. I wish he would have told me before accepting the repair. The other employee told me that he could not do anything I would have to call the store manager. Fernando was anything but service oriented, when he told me that I would have to make my way in during the week, because he does not work on Saturdays. He also would not agree to refund the money after I told him that the phone started to mix up the conversations, which was not the case before the ""repair."" Fellow DU students and alumns, it looks like this store continues to receive poor reviews for poor service, I wish I would have seen these reviews before going back to the store! My recommendation, avoid the store at all cost!
