the worst! 10/24/2015

I had my so a 2nd Birthday party there It was only a small group of kids I order pizza for the kids after 45 minutes I went to check on it to see if it was almost done and the girl behind the counter said they ordered it and it was on its way I ask where they ordered from because I thought they cooked it seeing as to where I paid 19 dollars per pizza and she said they ordered it from pizza hut I asked to speak with the gentleman or manager that took my order and he says they don't have whole pizzas there they order them after a hour and a half I went back to see what the hold up was he says he doesn't know what's taking them so long and when the pizza finally arrived it was cold I infomed the manager and he said I would need to take that up with pizza hut I told him I didn't understand how he could charge me double for a pizza from pizza hut and then it not be fresh he told me he was in the business of making money and didn't understand why I had a problem he was rude and unprofessional I asked for more plates to put cake on after we cut it and they said they didn't have any and gave me the paper that they put the pretzel s in to put the cake on also one of the adults at the party went to order a slice of cheese pizza and he took a slice of pepperoni pizza out the freezer and plucked the pepperoni off with his hand at this point I was disgusted and knew I would never go back to this place again more

All kids are welcome 3/30/2011

I have a 6 year old son, he played all over the place, he loves it. but last time I went some parents got mad because another child bump into a younger kid that was walking around. My thing is as a parent you should not get mad because when kids play this stuff can happend any time. also they have an area for younger kids to be at, and if you worry so much about your kids getting hurt you need to put them where they belong, and be with them at all times so this thing don't happen to your kids.... more

Parents need to supervise their children 8/20/2010

On a rainy day I though it would be a great idea to take my 1 yr. old granddaughter and 3 yr. old grandson to play on inside play equipment. They were so excited playing, jumping and laughing. I convinced my grandson to try the one with the columns and slides. When coming to the columns, three older boys(2nd-3rd graders) were hiding and was scaring the little ones. I thought I would never get him out of there. After that he wanted to leave because they followed him to every other station. Where were the parents? I raised 3 daughters and now helping care for my grandchildren while my daughters work and never have I taken them to a place and not watched them. There were parents/grandparents reading, talking on the phone, watching TV, etc. The only complaint is parents need to supervise there children. We were only there for 1 hour....cost $10.00. Expensive hour. We may try again during school hours when hopefully older children will be in school. more

Adults in equipment 5/2/2010

I have a 20 month old and we've been at XP several times for play dates and also birthday parties, my son is still little to climb by himself to some of the equipment so I or his daddy usually assist him and we are always very careful not to get in the way of the other children playing, I think before making judgments about who should or should not get on the equipment you must understand the circumstances, sometimes older kids are the actual danger and parents doesn't ever bother to control their kids when they are acting like maniacs around younger children. I do agree that adults climbing and bouncing for no reason than their own amusement should be talk down from the inflatables. more

My child got cut 10/14/2009

I have a 2 year old, a 1 year old and a 9 month old. My kids love this place they have so much fun. But I also have noticed that the employees attitude is really negative. The last time that we went we were leaving and when you leave the employees have to cut the bracelet off. Well my daughters was on her ankle and when the employee cut it off she cut my daughter's leg. So I walked back in to get a band aid and all she could say was "sorry" I thought to myself your employee cut my daughters leg and that is all you can say? Another incident was the same day I was going to get us something to eat, and the same day they were having a party and I asked if we could get a slice of pizza and they told me there was none ready all the pizza that was ready was for the party I would have to wait about 20 min. I was thinking to myself shouldn't they have some ready for the other customers also? Plus one thing that they don't pay attention to is when there are bigger kids in there and they are climbing on the top of the slide and acting like monkeys. They don't even say anything to them and personally I don't think kids like that should be allowed on them because when my 2 and 1 year old are on there they can get hurt by them big kids. Other then that our experience has been OK I think they just need to hire some people that like to be around kids. Not these teenagers out here who have a really bad attitude. more

XTreme Play Rocks! 7/8/2009

I have had my daughter's birthday party at Extreme Play for the past two years and have been VERY satisfied. The kids had a great time and the party attendant went above and beyond to make the party a huge success. I would recommend Extreme Play to any parent looking for a fun place to have a party their child. more

Not Great Service 3/22/2009

We were there for a basketball party and my child's grandparent wanted to come in and take my childs picture with his award and leave, but the staff who looked all of 12 yrs old said you have to pay to enter. We came before and parents didn't have to pay for their children to play only. My 55 yr old father didn't want to play. I thought it was ridiculous. The staff doesn't have the best customer care. The staff always has a defensive guard up about them as if your going to steal one of those HUGE inflated bouncy things! We just go skating or bowling-less attitude. more

Xtreme Play and adults.... 1/29/2009

I am not sure what day this person was in Extreme Play and there were adults on the equipment, but I would like to state the following: I was in Extreme Play about two weeks ago, and there were adults getting on the equipment. The manager, I guess, announced several times on the PA system that adults were not allowed on the equipment, and then went and spoke to those adults personally. As a parent, I appreciated the fact that she stayed persistant with the rules. There are those kind of folks who just do not realize the danger of bigger bodies being on inflatable equipment with smaller bodies. I would also like to state that I took my little one morning, a weekday, and there were older children, high school age, playing on the equipment. These children were developmentally delayed, most were down-syndrome. My child was frightened at first, but I assured her that everything was going to be okay. These children were having the time of their life. I spoke to one of their teachers briefly, and she explained that these children cannot interact at school in a regular physical education class. The owner had allowed the entire school system to bring certain classes to Extreme Play every day that week to play. She went on to say that this was the best field trip her kids had ever had. Every one is not the same, and this day was a true learning experience for my child and myself. My hat is off to the manager for trying to keep the place safe, and to the owner, for allowing these children mentioned previously to have the opportunity to play. We are definitely going back! more

extreme play concord 1/29/2009

I agree that children should be supervised by their parents, however when you have adults getting on the equipment and acting like children, that is when the employees at extreme play need to take control of the situation. In the three times we have gone to EP, we have had one bad experience and that was because it was crowded and the employees were not very attentive. We expressed concern several times over the number of adults acting like maniacs on the equipment and they did nothing. Call me over-protective, but I don't want to see my children hurt my adults/parents who don't seem to know any better. We would go back, but only when it is not busy. I definitely would not leave them there to go shopping. more

Better than Monkey Joes!!!! 1/8/2009

I had my 5 year olds party here. I originally was going to have it at Monkey joes like many of her friends. But it was super expensive. So I booked her party at Xtreme Play instead. We had kids from 3 to 13 there and everyone had fun. It was a Friday right shortly after school had gotten out and there were a nice amount of kids. The adults play the wii and the kids ran crazy. When the pizza was ready we corralled the kids and they ate. The kids ask me to take them back all the time. I will always choose to go to Extreme Play over anywhere else for my kids to have a great time. I even added two more kids and they didn't have an issue with it. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our whole family loves this place! more

Great Place 12/30/2008

My kiddos LOVE this place!! It is a great interactive place, and no matter what they weather is like, they can go play. I have a 2 year old and a 9 year old-this place offers fun for both. For a previous poster-Xtreme Play is not a place to drop your kids off and be watched by someone else. You have to watch your own kids-I really don't know too many places that you don't actually, so I am baffled why this would even be an issue. Like all other public places, you can't control other children, but you still do the best you can. I highly recommend this place-great time for the kids!! more

Great! 12/29/2008

All my kids- 5, 3, and 1 enjoyed themselves here. Yes, you do have to supervise your children, but there are too many kids for the staff to supervise alone. I think it's unrealistic for parents to think they will keep everyone and everything in perfect order. It's a playplace! Yes, kids are going to go crazy and they will get bumps and bruises :) Price of food was reasonable, although I thought admission was a little high. If you have a little one, they will love the baby area! The employees did a great job helping the moms keep the big kids out of the area. I am going to return again. more

Great Place 12/12/2008

My daughter age 8, loves this plac. She is an only child and loves meeting new friends here. I think it is a safe fun environment for kids. Happy Mom Norwood NC more

Booooo! 10/12/2008

I had my youngest daughters 1st birthday there and my 7yr old loves school night there, and I think it is worth every penny. As far as there not being any attendants to watch the kids. Well it isn't there responsibility to unless you paid for them to watch your kids while you shopped. Otherwise it is your own responsibility to watch your kids. Kids get hurt everyday, maybe Xtreme play isn't for your kid. That just leaves more room for my kids and a less likely chance they will get hurt. more

EXCELLENT Place to GO! 6/11/2008

After noticing the above comments ...I would like to make a comment....I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! This is not only a GREAT place to go but the employees were WONDERFUL with my child. ALL of the employees were very attentive and were eager to help me whenever I asked. I had a party there and was very impressed with the employees and the place. SO please do not take these negative comments to heart because not everybody has the same opinions! This place is Great and I was very pleased with it... more

Xtreme Play is awesome! 4/13/2008

I have had two birthday parties for both of my children at Xtreme Play in the Carolina Mall. I was so pleased with the service and quality of atmosphere. Our party hostess made sure that all of our guest were taken care of. The manager also made sure things were going well. My children love to go here and play also. I wish this type of place had opened sooner in Concord. I really like the fact that someone is always standing in the front to check the wristbands, and make sure children leave with the appropriate adult. As for the lady who had the bad experience with her birthday party, I am sorry to hear that. Maybe you should try it again. I know that my children have been to Xtreme Play for the past three Saturdays, and there has been this "Balloon Guy", who is the best! He makes animals, hats, etc,. anything your child wants, with the balloons, and is very entertaining while doing so. A lady also comes and does for the kids-airbrushed, not with hand paints, and the kids really like her designs. As for me and my family, Xtreme Play is our favorite play place! more

We love Xtreme Play! 1/29/2008

I'm really not sure what kind of bad day the previous posters were having, but Xtreme play is great! I am the Fundraising Chair at Forest Park Elementary in Kannapolis. We have a fundraising night once a month, which benefits the kids and parents and the kids have a great time. There is also plenty for the adults to do. I enjoy talking with my friends on the big comfy couches, most dads that I know love the video games, and I really enjoy playing air hockey with my kids. The snack bar is awesome. So what if I get hit in the head with a little plastic ball once in a while, if it didn't happen at Xtreme Play it would happen somewhere else. Kids will play that way sometimes, and from the 12 or 13 times I have been there, there has never been a lack of employees on the floor keeping the peace. Personally, I think some kids need to be taught good manners so that the floor personnel would not have to get involved. I have also been to several parties at Xtreme Play, and again the kids had a great time. Three weeks ago we had my daughter's party there. We did it on a weeknight and when we arrived the party room was set up and clean and nice. All I did was bring the kids and the cake. The pizza was so good we ordered another one for the adults! Needless to say, all we took home was left over cake! This took a ton off my mind. I recommend Xtreme Play to anyone who wants to take their kids to play in a safe, fun, friendly environment, don't forget to get the pizza, cheese was our favorite! more

Xtreme Play No Fun 10/8/2007

Added to the review above, I took my kids to the place and needless to say, it was a bad experience. There were no attendents to watch the kids and several kids kept getting hurt. After the 3rd time of my kids slamming into somone, I'd had enough and left. The staff there didn't seem to care much, they were too busy talking among themselves. When we first got there, there was only one person I could see. I will not go back. I do not recommend this place to anyone. There are several others in the area that offer same things with much better attitude and service and to top it off, it was very dirty! more

DOES NOT CATER TO THE BIRTHDAY PARTY 10/8/2007

I HAD MY SONS BIRTHDAY PARTY AT EXTREME PLAY. THE PARTY COST A LITTLE OVER 160.00 FOR SIX KIDS(A LITTLE ON THE HIGH SIDE BUT I WAS WILLING TO PAY THAT FOR A PARTY I WOULDN'T HAVE TO HAVE AT HOME) , THAT INCLUDED ONE MEDIUM PIZZA, ONE 1 1/2 QT PITCHER OF COKE AND 12 BALLOONS. WHEN I BOOKED THE PARTY I FELT LIKE I WOULD BE SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE HOWEVER WHEN THE PARTY DAY CAME I WAS SOOO DISAPPOINTED. THE PARTY ROOM WAS NOT READY.WE HAD NO PLATES OR CUPS SET UP, THE BALLOONS ARRIVED 25 MINUTES AFTER THE PARTY STARTED AND WERE THE WRONG COLOR. THE FOOD DID COME AT THE RIGHT TIME BUT WAS TERRIBLE. I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT WHEN YOU HAVE A PARTY AT A FACILITY THAT CATERS TO CHILDREN THE PARTY PLANNER GENERALLY HELPS YOU IN MOVING THE PARTY ALONG. THE PIZZA WAS BROUGHT IN (SERVE YOURSELF) WHEN WE RAN OUT OF SODA (1 1/2 QT) I HAD TO ACTUALLY GO STAND IN LINE TO GET A REFILL (WHICH THEY CHARGED ME FOR). WHEN IT CAME TIME FOR PLAY ON THE FLOOR THEY WERE UNDERSTAFFED. I ONLY SAW 1 EMPLOYEE ON THE FLOOR, MAYBE BECAUSE THE OTHER FOUR WERE BEHIND THE COUNTER TALKING. THE CHILDREN HAD A GOOD TIME PLAYING BUT I COULD HAVE SAVED A TON OF MONEY JUST PAYING FOR THEM TO PLAY AND FORFEITING THE "PARTY". THE LESSON HERE IS " IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON TAKING CHILDREN HERE FOR A PARTY, SAVE YOUR MONEY. THROW A FROZEN PIZZA IN THE OVEN, BUY A 2 LITER COKE AND SERVE THEM FAMILY STYLE SOMEWHERE ELSE, IF YOU STILL FEEL COMPELLED TO TAKE THEM TO EXTREME PLAY KNOCK YOUR SELF OUT. I WON'T BE BACK. more
