Great Doctors BUT.... 3/24/2010

Physicians and medical assistants are thorough, patient, kind and caring. Front desk is amazing - efficient AND personal. Billing office personnel - think in one dimension only, black and white, make extremely limited room for questions or mistakes, and like to be in control - actually kind of bossy and presumptive/know-it-all approach. Pros: Medical care, Front Desk Cons: BILLING OFFICE more

Questions add up 11/18/2009

We have used the Woodinville Primary care as our source of medical care for several years. Fortunately, we are healthy and don't require medical care very often. Everytime we have been there, there has been a billing issue. First, my husband went for a general physical. At the end, when asked, do you have any questions? He did ask one, therefore was charged two office visits. Then was also charged for lab tests which were actually for a patient seen before him. We got the lab tests, the billing was corrected, but the results could not be "erased" off his record - and that guy had medical issues. I went in for a simple office visit and was charged a "new patient" fee. That was corrected but my 20 minute visit still cost $130 - they took my pulse, listened to my heart and lungs, had me fill out a one page photocopied questionaire and wrote a prescription. When I questioned the charge, and asked it to be reviewed, billing informed me they would not argue about their fees and said goodbye. No wonder our medical system is in the condition it is when they charge over $10 per minute for a simple issue - and you cannot question the charges or get an estimate prior to your visit (I had asked about the office visit fee prior to going, and was quoted something much less, billing replied that they can't tell you costs until after your visit). The doctors do genuinely seem concerned about your health and wellbeing but their billing practices are not transparent and result in more fees than expected. Watch your wallet when you go in the door. Pros: knowledgeable and attentive doctors Cons: billing errors and nickel/diming billing practices more

Dr. Knox rules 10/18/2008

Why do you all refer to Medical Assistant's as Nurses? Clearly they are not even close to a nurse, and nurses are on a different level than M.A in every aspect. I love Dr. Knox, she is the best doc. Her medical assistant gal, Missy is the best. She is by far the nicest one their. The other one's are super snooty and could use a lesson or two from Missy. Pros: Dr Knox Cons: sometimes too professional and serious more

Dr Knox rules 10/18/2008

Great place, the Medical Assistants they have are somewhat snooty. Also, why do people refer to them as being "nurses" when they are not even close to a nurse? Hello, People! They are Medical Assistants! totally different. That is like calling a secretary a medical transcriptionists. The M.A that i like is Missy, the other ones need to work on their manners. I can spot a fake smile a mile away. I love Dr. Kristen Knox. The best Doc. I have ever seen. more

Much Better than Average Physicians' Office. 5/28/2008

Longish waits are worth it! This is a low-key, friendly, warm, comfortable physicians' office. Personnel treat you like the person you are. Nothing mechanical or indifferent about them. My physician consults with me before prescribing, asks my opinion of his treatment plan, values me as an integral unit of the care team treating me. He makes suggestions rather than giving orders, yet is firm in expecting to be kept up to date on my conditions. He has called me at home upon infrequent request, and when he's not available his nurse is always helpful and prompt. My only complaint is that I often wait at least 30 minutes to be seen. On the other hand, I sometimes am seen within a few minutes of my appointment time, which in my past experience is unheard of in doctors' offices. I am extremely pleased with Woodinville Primary Care and its personnel. Pros: Personal and friendly staff. Cons: Occasional long waits past appointment time. more

The Best in the West!!! 4/22/2006

Just when you think that doctors are in the business only to make money...then comes along Woodinville Primary Care. My husband and I have been going here since moving from CA and absolutely love this office. The doctor's are top notch (a special kudo for Kris Knox, Steve Montague and Sally Edwards!) They always take the time and interest in their patients and see that no tables go unturned and they are not hesitant to refer their patients to specialists when they recognize whatever ailment may be beyond their expertise. They are smart, compassionate and professionals...and try to say that about very many other doctors in one sentence. I have also seen them with children Kids love them and you can tell that the feeling is reciprocated. Sylvia, Missy, Linda Z and Roxanne are really top notch nurses The receptionists are very friendly and accomodating. Pros: Doctors, Most of the nurses, Receptionists Cons: phones more

Excellent Care & Service 6/30/2005

Dr Kristen Knox has been our family doctor for over 10 years. I have never had a bad experience with her, her assistants or the staff. We are recognized by sight & everyone adores our 5-year-old son & 2-year-old daughter. The kids do not dread doctor visits & we do not dread taking them. They 'fit us in' for 'minor mishaps' and still stay very much on time. I do not remember ever waiting more than a few minutes and if they are not too busy, the office staff is fun to talk with. I find that if you are courteous, others will be courteous to you and I have never had a problem at Woodinville Primary Care. I recommend them very highly. Pros: Exceptional care, Caring Staff, Positive People Cons: Popular & busy, They take vacations;) more

Great doctors, poor office staff 10/28/2003

David Card and Steve Montague are two doctors I've visited at WPC. They are absolutely top-notch doctors and top-notch people. The receptionists and bulk of office staff are so rude and borderline obnoxious that it has nearly made me leave for a primary care clinic. Upon calling for information, you'll be greeted with poor response in which the receptionists will feel as if they are providing you a favor. In addition, the office staff is so careless that your prescription has a 50/50 chance of being called into the 'other' Bartell's or Rite Aid in your city. If you call to inquire, they will probably be disgruntled and defensive as they always seem to be. They also seem focused on which terrible customer-facing employee is going to have to work the following Saturday. Too bad the staff doesn't match the doctors. Pros: David Card, Steve Montague, Some nurses Cons: Receptionists, Office Help more
