Excellent care and results. I was very impressed with their initial exam, the surgery itself and follow up.

I wish I could say something nice but my experience was bad from the start. While waiting for my FREE consultation for lasiks I overheard staff discussing complaints of patients being billed for the refraction procedure when they had not asked for it. I blew it off not thinking a whole lot. The technician I met with was nice but seemed to be new as he kept being corrected/scolded in front of me and other clients. My free consultation took about 3 hours and I had to do all of the test multiple times. It wasn't until after 2 hours I was told their computer system crashed and that was why it was taking so long. I would have appreciated knowing this much earlier and I would have come back another day. After finding out that I was a good candidate for lasik I had to basically ask to leave because they were so insistent that I book right then and don't look for any other dr because they were the best. I check multiple companies for renovations on my home why wouldn't I do the same for my eyes? I tried to keep a open mind because Woodhams has such great reviews online, but on my way home it occurred to me that I never even met the dr who would be performing the procedure? I decided Woodhams may not be the best fit for me but wasn't going to right negative reviews based my consultation. That is until I got a bill in the mail for the refraction test that I thought I had signed to say I didn't want. When I called and spoke to Kim in the billing department I could not believe how she had a job. She was SOOOO unbelievable rude and said I had signed opting for the test. Now if I read incorrectly or checked the wrong box I will own it, but she just said ""you signed for it and you owe the $30. End of discussion."" I was shocked that this was the experience I was having and tried to explain that I really had a bad experience from the start and I was cut off by Kim and told ""I'll send you over to someone you can complain to, but you still owe. Bye Bye"" and I was hung up on. Based on what I overheard while waiting for my consult it sounds like they are billing for un asked for items or there consent form is unclear. Either way I am disgusted with the way that I was treated at Woodhams. I had my lasik procedure done at Atlanta Vision Institute two weeks ago and could not have been happier! I was amazed with their facility, staff, and Dr Ashraf is so personable. I highly recommend you check them out. more

I was there for annual eye exam but was billed for medical. I called and trying to get them to change it, but I get a lot of resistance on doing so. I spoke with a manager (DiDi?) who promised to call me back but never happened. I was in the office for 2+ hours and saw Dr. Livernois for 5 mins if not less; I think he was somewhat insulting by trying to over emphasize the way he speak as if I didn't not understand English at all. I had such a pleasant experience at Woodhams last year (2013) visit, it was the main reason i decided to come back again when Woodhams sent me a annual eye exam reminder via email; the fact that i was reminded for annual eye exam and that I didn't come into the office complaining existing eye problems is sufficient to say that my visit should not be of medical reasons. on top of that, the diagnose was exactly the same as the last visit in 2013 further indicates the visit was a routine. I don't believe it is wise to lose a customer (or more) for $140. On the side note, they wanted me to pay additional $40 just to have my measurements so i can get new glasses!! more

An absolute Nightmare. \r The physician may be decent, but the support staff that he has surrounded himself with is terrible. \r They were sloppy in the pre-surgical measurements and completely wrecked the vision in one of my eyes by over-correcting it by +1.00 !!!. I could tell they were rushing through the exam trying to get me into the operating room, and I brought it to their attention that they had stopped adjusting the machine before the image was in focus on my second eye in the way they had on the first. But they said, that it really wasn't important as it was just redundant measurements. \r It was so bad that I had to buy out my own pocket a special pair of glasses costing several hundred dollars just to manage near 5 months of bad vision and terrible headaches until a SECOND surgery could correct their mistake. Then there was the time off of work, the medications, and numerous other expenses, not to mention the time and pain.\r To add insult to injury... literally... their PRACTICE MANGER had the nerve to repeatedly tell me how grateful that I should be that they were waiving the fees for the second surgical procedure. Well, they should be REALLY gratefully I haven't sued them for their negligence.\r Then, because one eye was on a different Post-Op schedule than the second double surgery eye, they wanted to charge me for follow up visits because they say they only include follow ups for a certain period from the FIRST surgery... EVEN WHEN THEY NEARLY BLIND YOU FOR 5 MONTHS.\r As soon as they had my money, all that kindness and caring was stunningly replaced with a completely different attitude.\r Because of the major error on their part that the MD stated ""I just don know how this could have happened.."" I asked to have my follow ups with the actual MD... but, nope. I was schedule with his assistants instead.\r \r IF I COULD DO IT AGAIN I WOULD PAY TWICE AS MUCH TO GO TO SOMEONE DIFFERENT.... \r more

I cannot say enough about Woodham's Eye Clinic!! I had Intralasik performed there on 6/13/12. I went to one other consultation with another eye doctor before I went to Woodham's but I knew for certain when I left the consultation at Woodham's that I wanted to have my procedure performed there. I was very pleased with the professionalism of the entire staff, my overall experience was just so easy and my results are absolutely amazing! What a wonderful change to my life. Pros: null Cons: null more

Very Disappointed 5/1/2012

I unfortunately did not have a experience. I was told I was an ideal candidate. After, my night vision is quite poor ? what should be points of lights (such as brake lights) look like fireworks, everything lit or reflective has a blur around it, and my contrast has decreased considerably so it is harder to see in dim light. Pros: null Cons: null more

Blame game 5/11/2011

Woodhams may be good for routine problems, but as soon as something goes the least bit wrong, he will make excuses. My wife had Lasik with him and found one eye ruined. He blamed the thin corneas. My Lasik surgery was OK, but when I went to him for cataracts, he badly placed the new lens and blamed my radial keratotomy surgery from thirty years ago. I have to go to a real ophthanlmologist to get it corrected. more

BEST DOCTOR IN TOWN! 5/2/2011

This is the second procedure I had done by Dr. Woodhams. The cataract surgery went beautiful. Dr. Woodhams, his nurses, and his staff are fantastic. The next day I already had a 20/20 vision. Can't wait to get my second eye done in 2 weeks. more

Great Outcome 4/29/2010

For 38 years I was in hard or rigid contact lenses. I went to Woodhams Eye Clinic to see Dr. Woodhams and he suggested Prelex. After much thought, I decided to go for it and WOW! I went from "unable to function without correction" to 20/20 and I can read tiny type without any glasses which I had not been able to do since I hit my 40's. Readers were such a pain. more

Not that great 12/28/2009

I had Lasik surgery and afterwards still noticed problems reading signs and so forth. I told the doctor during my follow up visits but he told me all his test said I was seeing fine. After dealing with the problem for sometime, I have finally been able to define what the problem is. Reading signs such as street signs that have a reflective surface causes problems. My eyes now are very very very sensitive to the light most light sources have weird light around them. Sometimes the light shoots straite up and down from the source. On sighs its not that noticiable but it does effect being able to read the signs to the point you have to be very close to them. I would not recommend Woodhams because of the after care treatment I recieved from them. I did have a problem but I just couldn't define it during the immidate care afterwards. The doctor just didn't care, he had his money and just needed to get rid of me. Pros: Can see fine sometimes Cons: Blurry vision do to reflective surfaces or different light more
