I wish I could say something nice but my experience was bad from the start. While waiting for my FREE consultation for lasiks I overheard staff discussing complaints of patients being billed for the refraction procedure when they had not asked for it. I blew it off not thinking a whole lot. The technician I met with was nice but seemed to be new as he kept being corrected/scolded in front of me and other clients. My free consultation took about 3 hours and I had to do all of the test multiple times. It wasn't until after 2 hours I was told their computer system crashed and that was why it was taking so long. I would have appreciated knowing this much earlier and I would have come back another day. After finding out that I was a good candidate for lasik I had to basically ask to leave because they were so insistent that I book right then and don't look for any other dr because they were the best. I check multiple companies for renovations on my home why wouldn't I do the same for my eyes? I tried to keep a open mind because Woodhams has such great reviews online, but on my way home it occurred to me that I never even met the dr who would be performing the procedure? I decided Woodhams may not be the best fit for me but wasn't going to right negative reviews based my consultation. That is until I got a bill in the mail for the refraction test that I thought I had signed to say I didn't want. When I called and spoke to Kim in the billing department I could not believe how she had a job. She was SOOOO unbelievable rude and said I had signed opting for the test. Now if I read incorrectly or checked the wrong box I will own it, but she just said ""you signed for it and you owe the $30. End of discussion."" I was shocked that this was the experience I was having and tried to explain that I really had a bad experience from the start and I was cut off by Kim and told ""I'll send you over to someone you can complain to, but you still owe. Bye Bye"" and I was hung up on. Based on what I overheard while waiting for my consult it sounds like they are billing for un asked for items or there consent form is unclear. Either way I am disgusted with the way that I was treated at Woodhams. I had my lasik procedure done at Atlanta Vision Institute two weeks ago and could not have been happier! I was amazed with their facility, staff, and Dr Ashraf is so personable. I highly recommend you check them out.
