Wish I had read the reviews before I bought a mattress. I paid in full for a mattress to be delivered "within 10 days". After 18 days we called , got a answering machine. At that point I read the reviews, scary. I called the credit card company and put a hold on payment. Six hours later we got a call, that the mattress would be in, "in a few days". We told him we had canceled payment due to the slow response and delivery, he said "good luck" and hung up. This place is a rip off. The ad we responded to was for a Simmons Beauty Rest Pillow top Cal King, starting at $595.00... Overstock Sale. When we arrived we had to wait outside for 25 min.. The only SBR/CK was $1800.00, which after a call to the boss (he is the boss), he could do it for $1100. Stay away from this guy. more

I bought a mattress from Peter Woodberry at Woodberry Trading Company located in Martinez, CA. It wasn't the same mattress when I brought it home. Peter did exchange the mattress (that is the only reason I gave them 1 star). I went back to buy an ottoman. I tried to cancel the order before the ottoman came in. Peter refused to cancel my order or give me my money back. So now I have the ottoman which is such a poorly made piece of furniture. It has a "Simmons" tag on it but the label on the bottom of the ottoman is United Furniture Industries. There is no way this ottoman was made by Simmons. The ottoman has no support to the top of it so you can not even sit on it. The edges of the material are also jagged. This is obviously a knock-off. Peter refused to work with us to make the matter right. One of his drivers actually met us in the lot to apologize for Peter's rude comments and poor arrogant attitude. DO NOT DEAL WITH AND/OR BUY ANY PRODUCT FROM WOODBERRY TRADING COMPANY!!!! more

We bought and paid in full for our masterbedroom set over two months ago from them, they posted a personal add on craigslist, the guy first said that it was his friend's company, well, it turns out that it was his company; we were suppossed to get the whole order (in stock) mid October, we moved by the end of October and now, almost mid December we are still waiting for them to deliver our dresser. more

Dirty mattress. Came in because they tricked us with a low price...when we got there they "Jsut sold" it but would sell us a mattress for $100 more...BAIT AND Switch!! We looked in the paper 2 days later and the one that was just "sold" was still in there. TOTAL SCAM...dont waste your time. more

Do NOT even bother thinking you will save any money on furniture by going to this piece of s**t company. I bought a mattress there thinking I was going to get a quality mattress for a discounted price. When we bought our mattress it was said to be delivered in 2-3 weeks...after MORE than three weeks went by, they didn't even call us WE had to call them to see where the f**k our mattress was...DAN STEVENS gave us the run around saying oh we'll be getting it soon...blah blah blah..it took 1 1/2 months!!! When he did deliver it he even forgot our f*****g bed frame..idiot. And tried to pawn off a "free" mattress pad that wasn't even the right size..of course we didn't take it..why the f**k would we...after having our bed for a week we notice the bed doesn't even feel like the one they had on display. We checked the manufacturing co. and apparently the "bed" we got isn't even manufactured anymore. So, we go back to try and exchange it. We realize, the display felt NOTHING like our bed...I think these f*****s sale knock offs. A mattress is something that should last a long time..we had problems with the piece of s**t after only a week. We still have not gotten the bed we were promised to be replaced. DAN STEVENS once again gave us the run around saying in 3 weeks..well it's been more than that so now were renting a truck and driving to the place to pick it up ourselves because this F*G won't deliver it..lazzy b*****d. Moral of the story, spend the extra money to buy a mattress at a REAL store with good return policies and customer service. This DAN STEVEN guy has NO customer service and doesn't give a s**t about you.. DON'T give these people your money..there a SCAM!!! IF I COULD GIVE THIS 0 STARS I WOULD!!! more

These young fellows opened their own futniture business, renting a big wharehouse downtown Martinez, also by the lake. Anyway, I love the bed I bought there at a good price, and delivery was not problem either. He was understanding and flexible.. They worked with me a couple days on choosing my queen size,t it was a perfect match. I highly recommend this place. Also the phone number I have is: (925) 38301988. more
