I order my furnitures and matteress for 2 bedrooms sometime in July 2010. Everything was delivered on time.One of the headboard had a minor crack and I had notified immediately to Peter about it.He took the time to get the replacement and exchange it for a new headboard. The delivery person Shawn working for him is an excellent man and we are very happy with the product and overall experience. I will definately prefer to buy more from Woodberry. more

When I ordered a Coaster recliner the first time, it was damaged. I was disappointed and wrote a less than complimentary review. Since then, it was replaced with a new recliner in a reasonable period of time so I will say that my experience overall was positive. Hope to use them again if it works out that the experiences people have are positive. more

Just got my stuff yesterday. The whole process only took 4 days. One of the items had a slight scratch and Sean touched it up on the spot after offering to have it replaced. My new mattress is wonderful. Just found out my co-worker bought a dining room set from these guys too. I am super happy..... more

I received a Coaster recliner chair today, from Peter Woodberry, but it was damaged when I received it. It wasn't obvious at first, but as I looked at it, it tilted to the right, and I noticed the footrest was "bent" and also the left armrest had an identation in it. I phoned Peter at two different numbers, and sent him an email asking him to make a satisfactory arrangement with me. I saw this ad on craigslist when my mom and I were looking for 2 twin size beds and a dresser. We made an appointment and went to check it out last friday and we saw a bedroom set we liked in the show room. Peter was very nice and he did his best to get us a great price. He gave us BRAND NEW beds and a dresser for MORE THAN 50% OFF! He offered to deliver for a little more and we agreed, he said it would be at our house next week. We gave him $300 cash deposit. When i got home and read the reviews, i was very scared and angry because i thought we got scammed. To our surprise, we got a call yesterday saying the furniture will be delivered today and i just received it a few hours ago and its only Thursday, it only took 6 days! The delivery guy, Sean, was very nice and polite too. We got exactly what we asked for,our furniture was not damaged or scrated at all. I just setup my room and im so happy. I dont know why people are writing bad reviews. Peter Woodberry is awesome and i would definetely recommend him to anyone looking to buy furniture and i will be back next time i need new furniture for a great price. Just bought three Serta mattress sets. Kind of in a strange part of town. Near the refinery? I felt I was treated fair and the mattresses are great. Price was almost to good to be real. Guy named Sean helped me. Worth the trip. more

This guy Peter and his wife straight up lied to my face. This is an increadibly shady operation run out of a wherehouse beside the Benicia bridge. If you cant tell by how these people act just look at they're selling policies. One person or couple at a time, no longer than 30 min. per customer, not allowed to browse on your own. These people are up to something no good! Buyer beware!!!!!!!! You WILL get screwed if you do buisness with them!!!!!! more

Just bought a queen Simmons Beautyrest for half the price for the same set sells at the local mattress store. They offered to have it delivered via a delivery service, but I did not want to pay the $58. My neighbor just bought a bedroom set from these guys a week ago. He got a good deal to. I'll be back to get a bunkbed when my kids visit this summer. more

First off, please be wary of good reviews for this company. It's run by some guy and his wife who post fake reviews to help boost their low score. That's the only explanation possible. Here's why... I was lured in by an add about overstocked items on craigslist. Stupid right? There were enough good reviews on this site to make me less wary of the bad ones. Now that was a big mistake! I went to the warehouse and bought a queen size mattress. It was a posturpedic mattress, it felt good when I tried it out on the "showroom" floor and he said there was a ten year warranty on it so it seemed like a legitimately good deal. ASK ABOUT THE REFUND POLICY. My biggest mistake by far. The mattresses are wrapped tight in cardboard for shipping, so you can't see what you're getting when you buy it. When it was delivered, it was NOT the mattress I bought. NO REFUNDS. Thats ok I thought, simple mixup. I called to fix the mistake, and he said he would send a delivery guy out to swap the mattresses the next day.... except he never came. I called, and called and called repeatedly, with no answer. So I decided to call from a different number and got an answer. Surprise! The real surprise was that he pretended to not even know who I was! I gave him the order number and recounted all of our conversations together. He said he never promised to switch out the mattress and said I got exactly what I paid for. No refunds. Now I'm stuck with some rip off brand mattress that will probably sag within a few months and I'm sure this ten year warranty he said I was covered by doesn't exist. Folks, this is a classic bait and switch. I feel really dumb, but I took the chance on getting a name brand mattress for an overstocked price. So far the BBB isn't doing much, so I won't hold my breath. Don't make the same mistake I did. The least I can do is help future buyers out. Do not buy from Woodberry Trading Company. more

Went to a big warehouse in Martinez near the freeway and bought a New queen mattress set. The prices were far lower than retail. Great selection. I'll be back to buy a couch. more

why would you only alot half an hour per guest???? could this be more of a scam? rush the people in and rush the people and confuse them in the process. this place offers nothing of what it advertises. everything i was interested in was out of stock. the owner is not accommodating, friendly or customer service oriented. seems like the whole thing is a sham. no clear inventory log or system to check whats there or whats been sold. shady shady shady. more

When we first met Peter, we had no idea that he was the owner of Woodberry Trading Co., and were surprised to have found out when the furniture was delivered. That only told us that he wanted our experience with him to be humbling, and most of all...comfortable! His customer service is excellent, and the fact that he is willing to even go above and beyond for us is more than we can ever ask of anyone. His delivery team who was Dennis, and his partner at the time of delivery, Tommy was awesome! Even their customer service is above and beyond! The original mattress that we had purchased didn't quite fit the height exptancy when we finally saw the mattress on the Chest Bed set we had also purchased through them, and without any hesitation, Peter went ahead and "evenly" exchanged the mattress for another one in which my wife and I had fallen in love with. We say "evenly" because the new mattress is actually at a higher value, but because of Peter's main focus on customer satisfaction, he delivered a 5 Star service to us. In addition, Dennis was even more than happy to come out once again to do the manual labor of switching out the beds, never once giving off the vibe of inconvenience for himself to have done a double job. The service that Peter and his wonderful Team at Woodberry Trading Co., was simply "The Best" that we've ever experienced, in furniture shopping, and I would HIGHLY recommend your next purchase with them! I bought a mattress from these guys in June 09'. When I got to the warehouse in Martinez I was a little leery because I needed an appointment to see the merchandise. A tall clean cut guy named Peter explained the features and benefits of the different models they had to offer. After trying out about ten different models I selected a Simmons Beautyrest with a latex top. Unlike the previous stores I have been to earlier that day the delivery was not free. I think it cost me $60, but they delivered it the very next day. Even thought I could not get free delivery the same queen mattress cost between $2500 and $2700 at the stores in Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill. I haggled with them a little on the price. I ended up paying $1200 for the mattress set. $45 for the frame, $35 for a memory foam pillow and another $50 for a mattress protector. I saw the exact same mattress protector at Costco for $85, so I think I got a pretty good deal. The delivery driver name was Dennis. He called a week later and asked me how I liked the mattress. That was a nice gesture. Overall I was a great experience. I love the Simmons Beautyrest with latex. more

I ordered furniture only to find the horrific reviews online the next day after purchase. I was very concerned about this, talked to Peter about other customer experience. He was gracious and calmed me down. I had my items delivered within a week and had no issues with my items. I am pleased to say that I had a good experience buying items at Woodberry Trading.
