Editorial review from Citysearch 10/26/2013

GREAT PLACE!!!!! I took one of my dogs to see the vet there, that had a hurt leg. He had already been to one vet, which told us he needed his leg amputated. When I took him in and talked to the vet, I was told about the options I had, which the other vet gave me none, except amputation. I then took him back 3 days later for a recheck and the vet was very impressed with how much better his foot looked in just 3 days and recommended we wait on amputation and see how much we could get to improve with laser and water therapies. Well 2 months later, my Tucker looks and feels great!!! His foot/leg is now almost completely healed and can now use it when he walks! \r If it weren't for the vets there, I would have had his leg amputated!!! I am so impressed with the doctors and staff there, they were all so nice and caring! Tucker loves them all! I will now ALWAYS take all my ""furkids"" there, I have such confidence in the care they give! Thanks to Wolftever Pet Hospital, Tucker gives them 4 paws up!! more

Would like to respond 2/1/2012

This is the owner of Wolftever Pet Hospital. I would like to respond to the obvious dissatisfaction of these clients. We see over a 1000 pets a month and I would like to think a vast majority are very happy with us. But from these posts it is clear not all are. I am very sorry for that.\r I would like to say to Lunar goose post of 06/30/10 yes we did that. First and only time in over 12 years of business. We can not atone for it and yes it was terrible. It's to your parents credit and great character that they forgave us and continue to bring their pets to us. \r \r To the post of Bad Vet dated Sept 27 2011. I sure would love to get more details about your experience. I would love to try and make this right. You can email me at wmlylestanford at my gmail account. Or call me at the office 423-344-1913.\r \r To kgc37363 First I am sorry that the person you talked to did not explain things well to you. I am not suprised to hear you found a med much cheaper online. Typically we are pretty close in price with the online stores. But sometimes as it sounds in your case, they blow our doors off. I have seen instances where they are selling for 20% less than we even pay for it. Whether it's volume purchasing or a loss leader sale I don't know, but it happens sometimes. As to having to wait 24 hours. That is not typical. If your pet has an RX that is not on the techs auto refill list and the DR who prescribed it is not availaible there can sometimes be a delay. I would have hoped they would have let you know there was going to be a delay. WE have had horrible experiences with 1800petmeds and they have quite frankly turned us off of working with any online pharmacy. We would fax RX to them 5 and 6 times and they still would claim they did not get them. They would tell clients that we refused to fax to them. I called and wrote them several times. I even offered to mail prescriptions to them and they said they would not accept them that way. So quite frankly we will write them, but it is up to you to get them to the online stores. I am sorry, but it has been a hassle for everyone. I wish the person you dealt had made a better effort to explain this to you. \r But kgc37363 and Bad Vet I want to assure you that we are not all about profit and we do care about customer service.\r I spent three years traveling around the country looking at Pet Hotels. I had a desire to build the best place I possibly could with the land I had to use. I wanted this place to be special, so owners would feel comfortable that their pets were safe and happy. I easily could have done like almost every other place in town and put in runs and cages and spent 70% less building it. But I wanted a place that I would want my dog to stay in.\r I know you are mad at us but it really hurts to see a heading like yours that says we don't love pets.\r \r KGC37363 and BAD VET will email me at wmlylestanford my gmail account I will do everything I can to make this right with you guys. more

Money, not customer service! 1/13/2012

This place tried to charge me $150 for a prescription that I could get online for $90, refused to match the price, put me off for 24 hours while they ask the Dr to write a prescription I could send to the pharmacy, then refused to fax the prescritpion to the pharmacy claiming it was just too much trouble. This place is all about profit and could care less about customer service!! more

They Love Money, Not Pets 9/27/2011

We have been taking our pets to Wolftever Inn (and Hospital) ever since we moved to this area because we loved to be able to watch our dogs on the internet while we were away even though they have very high rates in comparison to others in the area. Unfortunately, I have since learned all they care about is money. The last time we were in, they surprised us saying that they would have to give one of our dogs a bunch of shots. The Inn is more

Hideously Careless 6/30/2010

I would have rated this place minus 100 but that's not possible. My parents had their dog put to sleep which was an excruciatingly painful ordeal. Four & a half days later, when they went to pick her up (she was to be cremated) they said they didn't have her. Long story short, she was still back in the freezer. They forgot about her and forgot to call for the pickup from Pet Haven. That is COMPLETELY inexcusable!!! My parents then took their poor little frozen dog to Pet Haven themselves. There is no way they can atone for such callous behavior. Pros: Too far away for me to use for my pets Cons: They have the nerve to advertise that they care more

Great Place for my Pet! 10/27/2009

I have been using this vet clinic for over 7 years now and have had no problems. My dog doesn't even mind going there to see the doctor! Pricing seems very average, and the staff is always friendly to me. I have had multiple pets there, and fosters that have been sick and they have always been great with them all. Pros: My pet actually likes going there!!!! Cons: I don't live in Harrison anymore, longer drive for me now more

If you have a very sick pet 8/1/2009

My mother took my dog in, the vet called me let me know what was going on, the vet set up a payment plan over the phone. He was only interested in the health of my dog. The staff was very, very nice . The next day my little dog was eating and wagging his tail. Thanks to all that saved my dog. The day my dog went to the vet she couldn't walk or eat, she wasn't even drinking water. For the person that stated the staff was not friendly, did you check how you treated them. One vet is not going to charge more than another, it's just like a doctors' office. THANK YOU DR ROBERSON Pros: Thankful for a great vet Cons: My dog was not going to make it more

A little over priced; Not friendly 12/9/2008

The staff at the front desk was not very friendly at all and I found this extremely disappointing. I am 30 years old and have never owned a dog until now. My visit at Wolftever was the first time I had ever stepped a foot in a vets office. I picked this location b/c it was close to my house and it looks very nice outside. Once we were taken back to the exam room the doctor and her assistant were sweet but when we returned to pay for the visit we were again faced with the unfriendly faces. As if that wasn't bad enough, I could not believe what they charged us! Come to find out....there are several inexpensive places in town to take your pets for care....and this is NOT one of them. Unless you just have money to waste, I would not recommend them. \r Oh- and I thought I would add.....the saying ""you get what you pay for"" in this case...you pay a lot...for nothing. Just b/c other places are cheaper that doesn't mean they're not better! more
