I had a HORRIBLE experience with Wolfang's. It was mid-summer in Phoenix, and my air conditioner was not working. I called Wolfgang's & they sent a service tech to my home.
After looking at my system, he informed me of the repair cost. According to him, the repair would cost MORE than what I paid for the ENTIRE unit to be delivered and installed (barnd new!).
I found my original receipt and showed him that I paid LESS for the NEW unit (including delivery & installation) - than what he was attempting to RAPE me by charging for a repair.
When I confronted him with these details, he simply stared at me with I-could-care-less eyes. I told him I would be speaking to his supervisor about this, he couldn't have cared less about that either.
I sent him away (I was charged for the "service call") without a repair.
I called another company. Their tech came out in a few hours. He said that a "booster" would easily take care of the problem and installed it for under $100. Problem solved.
Wolfgang's wanted to charge me over $3800 to repair my A/C problem. I had another company repair the problem for under $100 - total (including the service call; parts as well as installation).
I called & spoke with a supervisor at Wolfgang's and was basically told "it is what it is". I guess being in the A/C repair biz in Phoenix in the summertime is like being the kid with ALL the marbles. "Whatever"
In my opinion, Wolfgang's not only attempted to rape me on a repair cost, but were completely uninterested in attempting to resolve any customer issues &/or concerns. They couldn't have cared less when I told them that I was able to get the unit repaired for under $100 - when they had tried to charge me over $3800. I spoke with 2 supervisors and a customer service person.
I will NEVER again contact Wolfgang's Heating & Cooling and I would strongly discourage others from contacting this pathestic excuse of a company as well.
