Best

After reading some of the other reviews, I would have to agree with what another reviewer said about Williamsburg. If you are skeptical about some of the reviews, just take a tour...

My husband and I were really impressed with the facilities and everything we saw when we originally toured the place. We knew that we would be leaving our dog there for 2 boarding...

AWESOME pet hotel! We have never boarded our puppy (8 months old) before because family was always available to watch her. However, when my entire family decided to go on vacation together, we toured a few pet hotels in St. Louis and this one was by far the best. Our puppy loved it, did well in group play, and was just like we left her. Everyone who works there was very helpful and talked to us every time we called to check in. We will definitely be using them again! more

Best pet hotel around! That's why they were voted Best in the St. Louis magazine. I wouldn't consider anything but the best for our pets more

Wonderful Doggy Vacation Spot! 3/5/2012

After reading some of the other reviews, I would have to agree with what another reviewer said about Williamsburg. If you are skeptical about some of the reviews, just take a tour of their amazing facility. My husband and I just recently boarded our two giant choc. labs there over the weekend. We initially took a tour and fell in love with the facility. After picking up our kiddos, we were nothing less than impressed. Our dogs stayed in the lovely Manors and were spoiled with their adorable doggy cookies everyday, too cute. Thank you Williamsburg for taking amazing care of our two crazy kiddos. I can tell they were spolied with love. more

Home away from home 3/4/2012

I have been coming to Williamsburg for about 4 years now. I have had nothing but great experiences with the staff and owner. My dog always comes home extremely cared for and happy. Plus, when pulling into Williamsburg's parking lot, my dog gets super excited and practically pulls me to the door. I have nothing but great things to say about this facility. Its the only place I will ever take my dog. more

Looks good, but wouldn't use again 5/30/2011

My husband and I were really impressed with the facilities and everything we saw when we originally toured the place. We knew that we would be leaving our dog there for 2 boarding periods, neither of which would be more then 4 days at a time. When we got our dog back from the first visit he was hoarse and couldn't really ""speak"" they told us that it gets loud and that he just did a lot of barking. Our dog doesn't bark, ever. Seemed a little odd but we chalked it up to just being excited and in a new area. After we brought him home the second time he again was hoarse and we stared seeing changes in his behavior. Our dog was a super friendly dog that went up to anyone and everyone and if anything our problem was that he was TOO friendly. After his second stay at Williamsburg Pet Hotel we noticed that he had become very scared of some people and especially scared of children. Maybe the experience was just too much for our dog but I don't think this was a coincidence and I wish that we had taken him some where else. While I don't necessarily think they are abusive there I do believe that something isn't right with their system for our dog to come in super friendly and leave a scaredy cat. more

Just another happy customer 8/20/2010

This ""pets only"" hotel is fabulous! I have been bringing my dogs here for 20+ years and have always been more than pleased with the service, staff and the facility itself. I recently had my newest yorkie-poos stay in the area designed for group boarding (small dogs only). Their room was adorable- cute bedding on the bunk beds, huge TV and the best part was the turf grass they were taken to potty on. Even though my babies were already staying with other dogs; I was informed that they enjoyed group playtime with dogs of similar size during their stay as well. If anyone reading reviews online is skeptical, you should check out the facility in person. As a lifetime customer guarantee you would be impressed with the sincerely caring staff and gorgeous facility. more

Not going back again 3/17/2010

First off my dog came home smelling of pee and had poop on her paws. When I brought her in the owner was yelling and arguing with another employee. I had a very long wait. As I was waiting two dogs almost got in a fight. There is not enough room for as many dogs as they have coming in and out. My friend was also given the wrong dog. He got his dog all the way home and realized it wasn't his. I don't know if Williamsburg even noticed or cared. I only know of this one occasion but I could happen very frequently for all I know. I will no longer bring my dog here. I will now take her to a non boarding residential location. more

Most Fabulous Pet Hotel in St. Louis! 8/3/2009

This Pet Hotel is FABULOUS! I can not say enough about the facility and staff- first, you are welcomed by the warm receptionist in the spa-like office, with tranquil music and fountains, where they obtain your pet's information as well as your contact numbers. Then, after taking back our two cats and 3 dogs, they allowed us to come back and see where our babies were. I was absolutely amazed by the gorgeous and SPOTLESSLY clean facility! It makes me feel so comforted after seeing how well they take care of their facility, as well as the LARGE number of staff that were taking care of the many animals! I was amazed by the wonderful hotel, hand painted suites, and manors-- which include: bunk beds, massage room and flat screen tv's-- oh, as well as individual balconies! Unreal! The most amazing part was the PETS only pool! There were 2 labs swimming in the pool, and the lifeguards were closely watching on the steps to the 3 1/2 ft. deep pool! This truly is the Ritz- for animals of all kinds. When picking up, our animals literally were wanting to stay :-) They can't wait to visit... WE ARE LOYAL CUSTOMERS TO WILLIAMSBURG! Ps- the owner lives in the house connected to the kennel.. and he is SO wonderful! He will help every individual customer and cares about his furry clients as well as us, humans: ) Pros: amazing care for all animals/ one of a kind facility! Cons: None. more

The Only Place In St. Louis to go!!! 6/14/2009

From the moment that I walked in the door my pet was pampered by their caring staff. I took a tour of their facility and it was absolutely amazing inside and out. They even opened up a pet only pool! After visiting many other places in the area, its the only place I'd ever take my pet. Pros: Caring staff and unmatched accommodations Cons: Getting in can be difficult during the summer more

Find another kennel! 3/1/2009

Do not go here! I returned after 7 days to find my dog had lost 1/2 of her weight, had very loose stool and it had obviously been left with it on her hind legs for an extended period of time because her hind legs were red, raw and sensitive to the touch. Prior to them brining her out to me I asked the staff if there had been any problem and they told me ""no she was just fine and in looking at her chart nothing of concern has been noted"". I took her to the vet the same day, who treated her for dehydration and started her on several medications. I called Williamsburg and explained to the staff who answered the phone my concerns and asked to speak to the manager. I was told the manager was unavailable and they would give her my phone number. I waited for two days and she never called me. On the third day I called and asked to speak the manager and was told ""she is not available we will give her your number"". She did not call me. I called on the fourth day and told them that if I didn't speak to the manager within an hour I would be coming to the office and sit in the waiting area until I was able to speak to her. The manager called me back within the hour. She said that she had spoken with the owner and there was nothing they could do. I told her my concern was about the fact that they had not taken my dog to the vet when she was obviously sick. She said that since no one noted any problem, this was the reason nothing was done. I asked if she would at least talk to whoever was responsible for my dog so this would not happen to anyone else in the future. She said they didn't know who was responsible for watching my dog. They were very understaffed, turnover of staff was very high and they didn't have a system in place to track who was responsible for caring for individual animals. I never took them up on the offer for grooming and never will. more
