Review content:
My husband and I were really impressed with the facilities and everything we saw when we originally toured the place. We knew that we would be leaving our dog there for 2 boarding periods, neither of which would be more then 4 days at a time.
When we got our dog back from the first visit he was hoarse and couldn't really ""speak"" they told us that it gets loud and that he just did a lot of barking. Our dog doesn't bark, ever. Seemed a little odd but we chalked it up to just being excited and in a new area. After we brought him home the second time he again was hoarse and we stared seeing changes in his behavior. Our dog was a super friendly dog that went up to anyone and everyone and if anything our problem was that he was TOO friendly. After his second stay at Williamsburg Pet Hotel we noticed that he had become very scared of some people and especially scared of children. Maybe the experience was just too much for our dog but I don't think this was a coincidence and I wish that we had taken him some where else.
While I don't necessarily think they are abusive there I do believe that something isn't right with their system for our dog to come in super friendly and leave a scaredy cat.
