Best

There swimming program is second to none. Outstanding skilled polite staff. Our 2 grandchildren have excelled from the oldest granddaughter who is on the swim team to our grandson...

Worst

A power-hungry Board President fired one of the best coaches in the country, and the head age-group coach quit.

Improvements in Service and Professionalism 10/14/2013

We have been praticipating with WSC for the past 5 years and we are so pleased with the changes we have seen this year. The quality of education has exceeded our expectations and the courtesy we have experience from the organizational staff is much improved over the past 5 years. Thank you WSC for your commitment to quality education for our youngsters. more

Rules 10/8/2013

Wow this is an unfriendly place! They are very rude and there is not any flexibility. Wonder if anyone here has kids or remembers what it was like when their kids where under 5.This is the first time I tried swim lessons here and it will also be the last. The Instructors are very young and inexperienced there is not much instruction going on because they do not know how to handle kids. more

RUN 10/1/2013

Rude, Rude , Rude! Our family will never return. I have never paid for a service and had such a bad experience. We have 3 kids we enrolled and had such a bad experience we did not even finish the lessons we paid for. more

Best place to take lessons 10/1/2013

We have two children age 6 and 3. We started taking lessons here about 6 months ago after trying many different places. I wish we would have started here as the others were a waste of our time and money. I have been surprised at how much both of my children have learned. Did my children cry at first? Yes! I was always so amazed how calm the instructors were and how they could get my kids to do so many things. I love how the instructor talks to you after each lesson and how small the student to teacher ratio is. I never thought my son at three would be able to swim half way across the pool!! more

Disgusting 9/14/2013

I have two kids one who was taking lessons and the other who was on the team. Recently there has been a huge decline from the best place to learn to swim to the worst. I can never tell who's in charge, the head coach/manger is never their. They do not care about there customers, and the facility has mold everywhere. more

WHAT HAPPENED!!? 9/13/2013

Our family has taken swim lessons at the swim club for the past 5 years. We have 2 girls and a boy we always take the summer off and return during the school year. This year when we returned it was like a totally different organization and the once great Instructors are gone. What a disappointment we are done with the swim club. more

Not Happy 9/9/2013

Our youngest daughter took swim lessons at Wichita Swim Club two years ago. We returned this summer and were surprised at the change in the program, instructors and facility. It was a great disappointment and a waste of our money. We will not be returning EVER! more

Great place with wonderful people!! 9/5/2013

I have a 4 year old that started lessons at WSC this past spring. What a great place. Yes they do tell parents to not watch if you can't handle seeing their children crying. We all know that when a child is not comfortable with something they cry! Other places don't make kids do things if they don't want to. Well your child is not going to learn anything if they are not made to do something they don't want to do. We have had 4 different instructors during our different levels and they are all great. They are caring and also want the kids to learn. After each lesson the instructor talks with the parent and child and let's you know how they have done and what they need to work on. I have never seen or heard of anyone being rude or mistreated and honestly wouldn't believe it unless I witnessed it myself. We have had nothing but compliments on how well our daughter swims especially for only being 4. Our family would recommend the WSC to anyone!!! more

Excellent place to be!!! 9/5/2013

The WSC is an awesome organization!! We started our daughter at a different place an she learned NOTHiING!! Within her first 2 sessions we were amazed at her progress. All instructors are very nice not only to our daughter but is as well. We have had the best experience her and would recommend it to ANYONE. We will not go anywhere else from now on more

A great pleace to take lessons 9/4/2013

We started taking lessons this summer and wow I’ve been amazed with the progress my daughter has made. The instructors are great- They came up and talked about my daughter’s progress after every lesson. If I had a concern they took the time to listen and wouldn’t just brush off what I had to say. I would recommend this program to anyone. more

Out Of Here 8/14/2013

Our family is leaving WSC and we plan on never returning. This used to be the place to swim in town for both team and lessons. Now it is a disgra.ce to the swim community. It is over priced, dirty and lacks in producing any results. The staff keeps changing and the management has a big deal leave if you don't like it. Well lots of people are leaving too bad we used to love the staff and programs. Do not try this place not worth your time. more

poor, very poor organization 7/26/2013

all good trainers left in the spring, we still kept our kids "because it is an organization", to be more precise it is a disorganization. Your info will be distributed to whoever wants it, they have ZERO respect for you, as person, as a parent or as a human being, their only focus is to defend their own. what a pity, STAY AWAY and RUN FROM IT! more

No Longer Part of This program 7/25/2013

Our family WAS very loyal to the swim school this USED to be an awesome program. Once tbey hired new management all the great, passionate, aweaome staff and Instructors left. We will never return to this program. The transition was awful, the place is filthy, the sfaff is rude and the program is a waste of money. Shame on you WSC you made a mess of an awesome program. more

Ex Swim School/Swim Team Parent 5/4/2013

Wow from great to average now a disgrace. This organization is a big joke. Coaches are not focused On the kids mostly texting on the deck and a once great lesson program turned over and lost a stellar staff. There is no control service and caring are non existant. In addition to a lack luster Coaching staff and young untrained Instructors the building is dirty, dingy and depressing. Look around for another team or place to take lessons. more

Swim School Parwnt 4/25/2013

This used to be the place to go for swim lessons. The staff all quit after swim school director left. The swim lesaons are awful, swim instructors untrained and young teenagers who talk and flirt with each other during class time. This program is a waste of your time and money. Too bad it used to be a great program. more

Your kids will learn to swim 9/25/2012

When my kids were young, we spent an entire year at the YMCA where they learned to do nothing but put their faces in the water. We got tired of paying for playtime, and decided to try WSC. What a difference!! A year later, our girls were proficient swimmers and zipping through the water like fish. Yes, they ask parents not to watch. Yes, they take their jobs seriously. Yes, your child will learn to swim! In response to a previous review, I have never - in 3 years of experience with WSC - seen an instructor yell at a child or throw anyone in a pool. Ridiculous! The instructors are well-trained, polite, and great with young children. Best money I ever spent! more

Definitely not for everyone 7/9/2012

This is our first year here, I have a 10 and 4 yr old. Yes, they ask not to watch. From observation, it has alot to do with first time swimmers being afraid and they typically cry that first week. Of course having mom or dad with their face to the glass makes the kids feel worse. I am in session four and my doggie padling 3 ft water only child now can do over and back strokes confidently in 8 ft water. We have been fortunate I guess because all our instructors are very patient and kind. Remember, they are there to teach your child to swim, not splash around and coo at them. My only wish is that the fee be a bit lower but again, I have two strong swimmers that are eager everyday to return. more

Swim school director- rude and condescending 6/14/2012

For kids under level iv this school is a poor choice for many. The director insists that parents not watch and will silence or remove parents who ask about any breaches of safety among staff. Some teachers have been seen pushing kids heads underwater or throwing screaming children into water over their heads. Any school that tells parents not to watch has a lot to hide. Some teachers insult and are condescending to kids. Higher levels seem to be less of a problem, mostly because kids are older, but instruction is minimal.. Students eventually progress because of exposure to water, not because the teens are teaching. Go to the Y or the Red Cross, where the teachers are actually trained and not just working a summer job for club profit. more
