Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Art is What You Can Get Away With, but ambience aside, when you want some of mama's home cooking without the hugs or the nagging as the case may be, The White Trash Cafe is the place to forget the real world and indulge in the comfort of chicken and dumplings, or chicken any old way that mama or grandma would make. The potpies are a nice big serving and taste like you remember. On Fridays, you might want to get there before one if you really want some catfish. Yes, I am southern, and yes I love my beans and taters. I love all the beans here, especially the bowl of white beans and cornbread. The taters not so much; I don't care for skins in mashed taters. The eggs were done how I asked, and the biscuit tasted real. The coffee was good and kept coming. This was my first breakfast at the White Trash, but it won't be the last.
Pros: food well prepared and tasty, decor unique to say the least
Cons: service variable
