We've been very happy with West Town Monona Tire. We have them do our oil tune ups, and of course our 60k mile and 100k mile tune ups, and brakes, we take out trailers to them, basically any mechanical work. I've been a customer of West Town Monona Tire for a long time. I always find that they are very, very precise, whether it's timing for appointments or analyzing problems. They are always good, and the value is good for their level of expertise. Are they the cheapest guy on the block no. But are they less than a car dealership absolutely. The value is in the service. They are spot on with their analysis, and they are very professional and very polite. I'd highly recommend them to anybody. more

Gary and team over at West Town Monona Tire are very prompt in scheduling. They are able to quickly diagnose issues and recommend repairs. They manage my expectations and always deliver on time. I will say that it's hard to say you've enjoyed your experience when you're spending money, but at least they always wash my car for me! I highly recommend their services. more

West Town Monona Tire always does a great job. I can call them up on Wednesday and they'll see me Thursday. They work quickly and efficiently. They are really great about forecasting things to watch out for, they give me a realistic target to reach for. I think it's a great place to go for those, who are like me, and are just cardumb. I've been going there for years, and they always offer great suggestions and are very friendly. I never feel like I'm being jerked around. They are straight forward and always honest. I highly recommend their services. more

One time, something happened, and it was not anything that was there fault, just something that slipped, and they took it right back in and took care of it. There was no charge, and they got me in right away. They are very knowledgeable, very helpful, and they actually give you a copy of where and what it is that they are going to do in your vehicle, which is great for helping us laymen understand what they're doing! I really appreciate that they go the extra mile. All around, they're just excellent. They are very pleasant and knowledgeable. They take care of a lot of different brand names of automobiles, and if they don't know something, they check. They're wonderful! For a smaller shop, they even give you a vehicle to drive while your car is in the shop if they have it for any length of time. West Town Monona Tire is very, very pleasant. When I walk in there, there is always a smile to meet me, no matter what's going on in their day. They treat you like you're the only customer in the world. We drive 30 miles to get up there, and it's definitely worth it! more

My daughter, who lives 50 miles from Madison, was having car trouble and took her car to Monona Tires in early Dec. She needed the valve cover gasket replaced, 3 new ignition coils, and new spark plugs that had she replaced 6 months earlier. Within a month she found out one of the ignition coils needed to be replaced. They replaced it with no problem. Her car was still using a lot of oil. We took it some place else and they said she needed a new valve cover gasket! The same one she had replaced 2 months earlier. Then we found out the threads on one of the ignition coils is striped. I would not recomend Monona Tires unless you lived closed by and had the time for regular visits to replace the same parts over and over. RESPONSE FROM West Town Monona Tire: Dear Cindy, I am sorry that you were not happy with the repair to your daughter's vehicle. To our knowledge, we were unaware that there were any further problems with the vehicle. We warranty all of our work for 2 years/24,000 miles locally and 12 months/12,000 miles nationwide. Given the opportunity to take care of the problem, I am confident that your concerns would be resolved. If you are still having problems, please let us know so we can resolve the situation and get your daughter back on the road. more

Finding a good, competent, reliable and affordable shop is like discovering an acclaimed neuro surgeon. This is definately the case with West Town Monona Tire. Everyone there was professional and extremely knowledgable about my cars (I've taken everything from exotics, imports and domestics) and treated me like a real valued customer. Imagine that? Gary, Ted and Brandon were great at the front and were pleasant when I was greeted as a new client over 8 years ago. Everyone there has always been knowledgeable, responsive & professional. The mechanics have always been top notch. No matter your auto knowledge level, they will explain the work to be done so you understand it and give you a fair, honest, reasonable estimate. Repairs are done in a timely manner. The waiting area is comfortable with television, wireless access & refreshments. I appreciate the concern they show me as a single person with a 10 year old car. They keep it perfectly running, and I trust them. If they tell me I have to do something, we do it. They are personable men themselves with great integrity. They are very honest, and I would not do anything but highly recommend them. West Town Monona Tire was recommended to me by someone I trust who knows autos. They have 5 cars, including a Lamborghini, and they take them all to West Town Monona. Brandon hopped in his truck and came to jump start our car for free. We then drove to the shop and replaced the battery. It is hard to find service like that. They give personal service. If I get new tires and they wear out too quickly, West Town Monona stands behind their work. They will make sure to give me a good deal on the next set. I have been using them for 4 or 5 years, and it has always been a great experience. They are also very fairly priced. When I first started using them I shopped around, and their prices were very competitive, especially for tires. I don't shop around anymore. West Town Monona services our two Toyotas. I also use them for the business. Anytime I need tires, for a wheel barrel, or dolly, or Bobcat, I can get them there. I also really like that I get to know my mechanic. At a dealership you rarely see the same person again, but at West Town Monona the mechanic talks to you about the car and tells you what they did. They get to know you and your vehicle.
