I have attended this practice for a long time, but with the cuts in staff.... things are horrible. The receptionists are very nice but overworked. The office manager needs to hire additional help or allow the receptionists to do their job and not the jobs of medical asstistants, appt. schedulers and greeters all in one. If there was a better qualified office manager then this would have been realized a long time ago. There is a high turnover because they want more but for less!!! The office environment is ghetto. Watching the staff interact is like watching the movie ""Mean Girls"". The office mgr. speaks to the staff as if they are retarded! Poorly run practice. Are the doctors cutting corners at the expense of their patients to take home more money?? Don't the doctors see that the office manager is underqualified? more

Dr.Cassano and her team are so good, she's no long seeing new patients. Why anyone would write reviews and attempt to ruin her stellar ratings because a) she doesn't access a certain type of insurance and b) they were late and someone suggested they show up on time...is beyond me. Dr. Cassano has always made excellent suggestions, been thoughtful and careful in her care and attention and made every attempt to keep me healthy. Yes, she is very busy....because she great! But Tony on her team is also great as are her staff of RN's and capable folks. And one way or another, if you're an existing patient, they will help you. But sometimes you must be persistent. It's your care afterall. more

I respect my internist who I have been going to over a decade now.... her diagnoses have always been spot on... she would always refer me to the right specialist if necessary and I was happy with the doctors she referred me. She is an excellent primary care physician. more

I've been going to Dr. Casano's office for many years in the group and she is very thoughtful and attentive in her care. Yes she is not available on a moment notice as not many doctors are, and i've been seen by a wonderful Physicians Asst (Tony) in her place. I just saw him today with a nasty cough & viral respitory infection and he knew exactly how to treat it and what to prescribe and my symptoms are almost gone. I dont really mind seeing a PA for such trivial things as seasonal flu and colds and dont want to bother the doc unless its for something more serious. It is a bit of a factory but with the costs of healthcare being what they are i can understand the need to see as many patients as they can. My experience and that of my family over the last ten years is a sharp contrast from a couple of other reviews posted here. They are _excellent_ in honoring appointment times, and the quality of care has been superb. I am so happy to have found a practice that cares about its patients' time as well as providing excellent care for their health. The one star rating is because of poor administration; I do not know how the doctors are because I didn't even get to see them! I found them through the Atlantis Health Plan website and thought I'd give them a try since they are close to my work. I called on a Wednesday and asked if they indeed take Atlantis. They said yes. I made an appointment for the following Monday. They left me a voice message on Friday confirming the appointment. When I walked in on Monday, they said they do not take Atlantis and I would have to pay out of pocket, so I left. They said that they had JUST dropped Atlantis, but apparently did not have the time to call and tell me before I wasted my time going over there, when I could have already found another doctor and been helped. more

after coming to this office for years, enduring long waits for doctors, usually having to see physicians' assistants in lieu of 'actual' doctors who are NEVER available, i recently had an annual checkup with my 'real' doctor. called from the subway to explain that i was going to be late, was told to come anyway. when i showed up, late, thanks to the MTA, was told that i couldn't be seen, and then my 'doctor' came out and started yelling at me for taking too much of her time. never mind the 8-10 hours total i've waited after showing up on time, come late once, and the doctor will dress you down, in public! seriously? also a great place if you want to bask in the glory of overentitled, hypochondriacal upper west siders. I have been a patient @ West Park Medical Group for over 30 years and have referred family and friends. They have never given me a reason to seek care elsewhere. They combine professionalism with friendliness, patience and concern. I have never been refused what I determine is an emergency appointment (at my convenience) even if it means seeing the resident PA when my doctor is unavailable who is by the way excellent. I will never forget when several years ago I dropped my ATM card in the elevator shaft and Marie, (the receptionist) had someone retrieve it for me. Not a medical aspect but it speaks to the care that I and my family and friends have received from the entire staff @ West Park Medical Group. Keep up the good work and Thank You for all the care over the years! more
