I bought a Pronovias wedding gown from Weddings by Debbie. I also bought my bridesmaid dresses here. Prices were right in line with other salons I visited. Everything arrived in the scheduled time frames. We had some problems getting swatches of bridesmaid dreses. Multiple times my mother called to ask & she went to pick it up a few times only to find out it had never been ordered. They have just added a small section of bridesmaid dresses. They don't have flowergirl dresses. The seamstress is fairly abrupt in the way she deals with brides, bridesmaids & families along for the fittings. more

After 5 dress shops , my mother and I visited this dress shop . Heather assisted me with suggestions and my fittings and she was FANTASTIC ! i think its spectacular that you have one person that is assigned to you and you do not have to share a sales person . She was there every step of the way and was just as excited as i was when we found ""the one"" . Apparently if you find your dress within the first 2 hours of being there - you even get a discount ! Luckily i qualified ! more

This place is amazing the people there are so nice and helpful. I live in Austin and it was a far drive out there but so worth it. I found my gown and it was just perfect and in my price range. They have all different styles and prices perfect for any bride to be. Thanks Weddings by Debbie. more

When I purchased my dress I got 10% off since it was my first visit. They also gave me a contract that detailed what my expected alterations costs were and all the other information I would need to know about getting my dress pressed, any cleaning if I needed it, etc. So well organized! more

I bought a Stephen Yearick dress last year and Heather helped me. She was so helpful. There were only 2 shops in Houston that sold the dress. I called the first place and they game me a price and when I got there I was getting ready to pay for it and then they increased the price to $500. When I went to Weddings by Debbie they gave me the same price that the other shop originally told me and didn't increase the price. They were very courtious and everyone there was willing to help you. more

They have a very diverse selection of dresses, from the very affordable to the very expensive. I ended up getting a dress by Justina McCaffrey, whom one of the owners of the store went to design school with- imagine that! more

I feel that it is better that way, for when I arrived I had my own consultant who was very knowledgeable. I felt like a Queen because she was able to focus all her attention on me. As oppose to other stores i've into who will concentrate on somebody else who is ready right then and there, all prepared and knowing what they what. At Weddings by Debbie they explained all their policies and showed me where they store the ordered gowns. They have the biggest selection of gowns and are the most helpful attendants of any place I have been! I highly reccomend Weddings By Debbie to brides who are just beginning their hunt. They make you feel like special and you can get an idea of what you like. more

I special ordered an Audrey Couture wedding dress in a size 8 from them several months before my wedding date. The same dress was in the store and in my size, but they would not let me purchase the in store dress claiming that Audrey Couture would not allow them to sell sample dresses. Instead I had to special order and pay an extra $200 rush fee to ensure the dress arrived two months before my wedding date to allow time for alterations. more

First the consultant was 20 minutes late. I wasnt too upset but it was a little disappointing because my mom, 3 bridesmaids, and fiances mom all drove pretty far to help me pick out my wedding dress. Then the consultant rushed through the introductions and through the lay out of the store and just started grabbing dresses. She reached the max (which is 5) before we got half way around and then said OK time to go to the dressing room. I was trying to trust her because she is the expert but I felt like she was not really listening to what I had in mind. She called my fiances mom my aunt the entire time even though she kept correcting her which was just awkward. The consultant also kept forcing certain dresses on me even though I said they weren't what I had in mind. I eventually realized she was also having me try on dresses that were more expensive my specified budget . And they were the main ones she kept pushing on me. Also there was one dress she kept moving to the back which happened to be the only one I picked out myself. I finally said that was the one I was trying on next but she said I wouldn't like it. (I peaked at the tag this one was only $1000 - maybe that was why?) After all the frustration of the day she still kicked us out at the end of out appointment time and said she had another appointment even though she was 20 minutes late!! There was no offer for me to even buy a dress and therefore no chance to save the 10% for buying on your first visit. (there IS a $50 charge for your 3rd visit that can be applied to your dress if you purchase it from them.) The no baby thing isn't as terrible as people made it out to be. They told me on the phone first no children so I made sure not to bring any with me. It is nice inside and it is nice to shop for a dress with out a baby crying. All in all they have beautiful dresses from tons of great designers. From my research their dresses are a bit more expensive than other wedding dress stores in Houston but the environment is much nicer (if you have a good consultant!!) with a larger selection of dresses. It seemed like some other brides in the store were pretty happy with their consultants and experience though so that is why I am giving it 2 stars. more
