I recently had the pleasure of working with Brian at Wedding Day Diamonds and I had an awesome experience. Wedding Day has a good selection of rings and a great warranty policy but most of all, Brian was someone I felt genuinely comfortable around. It was important that I find someone knowledgeable about the industry and diamonds. He was a self-proclaimed ""diamond geek"" and it showed. My girlfriend and I had visited many other jewelers before we went to the Wedding Day Diamonds in St. Louis Park. We really liked Wedding Day’s stress-free, no commission sales strategy as well as it being a locally-owned company. We had even visited other Wedding Day Diamonds locations in the Twin Cities area but it was not until we met Andrea at the St. Louis Park location that we found the perfect ring. Andrea was immediately likeable and approachable. Within five minutes my girlfriend and I felt like we had known her for years and had narrowed down our search to a few rings. She brought out the perfect ring and my girlfriend simply said, ‘that’s it, that’s the one.”\r After we left I offered to drive to a few more jewelers but my better-half said even if we found the same ring at a lesser price she still wanted the ring from Wedding Day because Andrea just understood us and who we were. (I looked anyway and could not find the same ring anywhere). I went back to the SLP location later in the week to pick out a diamond for the ring. Again, Andrea picked out the perfect diamond and I was on my way in less than 30 minutes. We went back to pick out our wedding bands too. Everyone that we met and interacted with were very friendly and helpful.\r The finished rings are absolutely gorgeous. Traditionally, buying an engagement ring is supposed to be a stress-full event but Andrea and Wedding Day Diamonds made it an easy and enjoyable experience. I want to THANK Mackenzie Lindback whom helped my mother, sister, and I in my engagement ring search. I had looked with my boyfriend at several different stores and we both gave up on the process. We finally decided that it was time to start the search again so I asked my sister and mom to come and help me look. We went to Wedding Day and the search was over.... Mackenzie had amazing customer service. She listened to what I liked and did not like... she was genuine and did not push us to look at rings outside the budget. She was encouraging and made me feel like I was important and special. She truly turned my ring shopping experience around and into what every girl dreams of the experience. When I started looking for my my perfect engagement ring I went to many different stores and always ended up leaving more confused then when I walked in. I finally ended up at Wedding Day in St Louis Park. They had 10 times the selection that and other store had and 1000 times the knowledge. I didn't once feel like I was being pressured into buying a ring. It was all about what I liked not what was more expensive. William was fantastic he showed me a variety of rings and diamonds and helped me narrow down what was best for me. This experience was fantastic because I was made to feel as comfortable as possible. I loved that they say buy with your eyes because that is whats most important that the ring you are wearing is beautiful to you not to everyone else! more

My fiancee and I searched high and low for the best engagement ring. I can tell you after visiting many reputable shops in the metro area, that Wedding Day at West End had the best selection, service and prices. more

I recently had a fantastic experience working with Lissy and Brock at the St. Louis Park Wedding Day Diamonds. I spent about two days checking out about 4-5 different ring stores. By chance, Wedding Day happened to be the last place I had planned to stop by. If I would have gone here first, I wouldn't have needed to spend two days ""shopping"" around. The first thing that struck me was the service. Throughout the entire process, I never got the impression that the sales people previously worked in used car sales. One of the biggest things I like was their approach to diamond buying - buy with your eyes. There are so many rating agencies and ""objective"" interpretations of a diamonds ""beauty"" and sparkle, etc, it is easy to get lost in the numbers. In contrast, Wedding Day did it right - they listened to your budget and some general guidelines about what you want in a diamond. Then, they bring out a number of diamonds to look at - BUT THEY DON'T TELL YOU ABOUT THE NUMBERS (i.e. price, color, clarity, etc) - well, at first. So, you end up narrowing down which diamonds you like based on how they look to you. Then they tell you about the diamonds you've narrowed down. This helps get in your head that more expensive does not equal ""better."" Aside from the diamond buying, Lissy was great in helping with setting selection. After I looked in the store, I looked on some of the designers' websites. I noticed that the store didn't have some of the settings listed on the websites, where I found some settings I would have liked to see in person. Wedding Day called around and got the exact settings shipped from the designer so I could come back and see them in person. I came back to look and wound up buying one of those new settings. Without their help, I might have gone with something else, and would have been left wondering if I would have liked those other settings more. The last things that come to mind about my experience is their selection and their warranty. They had a huge selection of all varying price ranges. Further, most of their selection are ""prototypes"", meaning that when you select a ring, they sound out to the manufacturer to make a ring in a specific size. This way, you are ensured in getting a ring made to the size you need it, and not a ring that was made as a 7 (the standard size), and then re-sized to the proper size (which can weaken the ring and affect how secure any smaller side diamonds are in their prongs). And, their warranty is the best in the business. No check-ups every 6-months needed to extend your warranty. Going back every 6-months doesn't sound bad...until you have kids, are travelling a lot for your job, move, etc. With Wedding Day, you do not have to do any of that (although, you probably should get it checked/cleaned every once in-a-while, so you hopefully would never have to have a situation where you need to take advantage of the warranty). Really, check them out. more

I recently met Aaron Smith at Weddind Day Diamonds at St. Louis Park, MN. This was the most enlightening encounter I have ever had in any store. Aaaron was extremelly knowledgeable about the different stones that were available. He explained points, color and clarity of diamonds and he had stones that immediately demonstrated the information he was presenting. His sense of style and sizing of the stone were extremely helpful. Never pushy always confident and respectful of my budget. I had difficulty with closing the transaction since I use an out of state bank. The bank refused to accept the debit card transaction due to the amount and that it was out of state. (This is a subject for another review of the bank in question.) Aaron and the team at Wedding Day Diamond were extremely patient and accomodating. They worked a custom plan to handle my situation. I placed the order and left knowing that it was in good hands. They even agreed to accelerate the order so that I could have the ring at my desired time. I honestly do not know what more you could ask from a retail store. This one sets the bar in the standard of care. Thank you Aaaron Smith and the Wedding Day Diamonds team. more

When my boyfriend and I first started looking at engagement rings, we looked at several places. After going to several places, Wedding Day in the Shops at West End definitely won out over all the other jewelry stores in the area! We walked in and immediately felt at ease. All of the staff were warm and friendly and helped us feel like we were part of the family. I had a pretty specific idea of what I wanted in my engagement ring, and was amazed by the large collection of rings and diamonds they had! When I explained what I wanted to Brock, he was able to bring out several rings that fit my dream ring. He was extremely patient and understanding as my boyfriend and I worked through what ring I wanted and what diamond would be amazing for us that would fit in out budget. One thing I loved is that they special order every ring in each person's specific finger size and for the dimensions of the diamond! I loved that I have a ring that no other woman has worn :) When my boyfriend came in and picked up the ring, Lissy and Charley greeted him by name and remembered him right away. Jess was extremely nice and personable asking him questions regarding our conversations from when we were in weeks earlier. I've gone in once to get it cleaned so far, and everyone remembered me. I""ve never felt so at home and comfortable at a jewelry store before! They are definitely the best out there, and I recommend them to any one out there! more

I visited a couple of jewelry stores prior to Wedding Day and a couple after. I was not the easiest customer as I put a down payment down, took it back, browsed, put it down again...BUT Jose and Charlie and at West End Wedding Day were patient and more than hospitable throughout the entire process. They encouraged me to shop around as they were confident in the product they were selling. Needless to say, after shopping around, I went back to Wedding Day where I purchased the perfect ring at a great value. The staff at Wedding Day was very courtious, helpful and applied NO PRESSURE. I would recommend Wedding Day to all gentlemen looking for the perfect engagement ring!! more

Like many guys, I was uneducated and a bit nervous to buy an engagement ring for my (now) fiancee. Because I didn't want to botch up the ring buying with one she didn't like, we started looking at styles together. We started our adventure by checking out some of the mall jewelers. I think that was a good step as we had a lot of questions and a lot of different jewelers in close proximity to compare. However, I didn't feel totally comfortable with any of them or their policies and wanted to check out a couple stores outside of the malls. Our first stop was Shane Co and we already could tell the difference between it and the mall jewelers. The return policy was much better and the selection was broader. Unfortunately, we felt like the saleswoman here was ""putting up with us"" and was slightly annoyed the entire time. Not sure why, maybe a bad day, but it definitely left an impression. Still, we were happier with Shane Co than the others at this point and found a couple rings my girlfriend loved. But then it was off to Wedding Day Diamonds. Walking in the doors at Wedding Day in St Louis Park, we were greeted by the largest selection of rings yet. Personally, I was happy that we'd narrowed in on a couple of styles she liked by now to help the process along, but I think she could have spent all afternoon trying on them all. :) The staff was the friendliest and most helpful yet and the warranty policy was perfect; short of totally losing your ring, Wedding Day covers everything you could think of that could happen to it. That gave me a nice peace of mind. After our first visit we'd decided that we felt most comfortable with Wedding Day due to their staff, policies, selection (she had 3-4 that were her ""favorites"" at this point), and general vibe we felt. At this point it was down to me to make some decisions and do things on my own. And this is where I was extremely grateful we chose Wedding Day. The staff was extremely helpful, particularly Charlie. Charlie worked with me from our first visit up to the end. I probably stopped in 2-3 times on my own, had 20+ emails, and a few phone calls with Charlie on the ring I wanted to get, how we wanted to customize it, and trying to make it fit within the budget I had set. Despite my worries that I was taking too much of his time Charlie kept reassuring me that I was doing nothing of the sort and that he wanted to help me make this ring perfect... exactly what I'd hoped to hear. All the communication was worth it, the ring we were able to come up with together was perfect and customized just enough to make it truly unique and within my budget. My fiancee LOVES it and I've caught her frequently starring at it when she's supposed to be doing other things. Fortunately that hasn't yet happened while she's been driving. I'd highly recommend Wedding Day for all of the above mentioned reasons; selection, staff, the experience, and warranty. I'd regret it if I didn't mention others at the store that were super helpful as well. Besides Charlie (I'm so thankful I didn't burn him out with all of my emails and questions) the rest of the staff was just as pleasant and kind. Aaron helped educate me on diamonds and what to look for and never once did I feel like I was being upsold on things that didn't really matter to us, and a fun guy to talk to. Also the office manager Jessica, who was also great to talk to and, when I nervously told her the plan of the proposal the night I picked my ring up, got all excited and assured me my girlfriend would love it. To wrap up this overly long review, in retrospect I have absolutely zero regrets about going to Wedding Day Diamonds for our engagement ring. While the selection and warranty are certainly differentiators, to me it was the staff that separates Wedding Day from the crowded pack of jewelers. more

John and I went into the West End Wedding Day Diamonds store a bit closer to closing time than we realized and yet were greeted warmly by Shauna. She was so gracious and we made a connection right away! When we told her we'd just look for a bit (not wanting to stay passed closing) and that we were just beginning to look (it was our first time looking for an engagement ring), Shauna put our worries to rest! We shared our thoughts about what we wanted and she brought us several settings to try on. We were able to narrow down our favorite engagement and wedding band quite quickly (much to our surprise!), but we were still there past closing; she never made us feel hurried. Well, since it was our first look, we told her we wanted to look a bit more and that we'd be back.She was very understanding; we looked at another jewelry store the next evening. NOTHING like our experience at Wedding Day and with Shauna!! We went back the next evening and she recognized us right away; brought the rings to us to look at again. We were sure we were choosing the right setting and cut of diamond...but Shauna really encouraged us to think about a radiant cut (rather than the princess cut I was sure I wanted) and even knew of a diamond at another Wedding Day store that she would personally go get so we could see it! Oh my gosh...she was SO right! John and I knew as soon as we saw the diamond in the setting the next day that Shauna had really listened to us and knew what would make us both delighted with the setting. I have now been wearing the ring for a week; I absolutely LOVE it and would not change one thing about it (we bought my wedding band as well; they look so pretty together)! Thank you for all you did to make our experience such a wonderful one! more

My now fiance and I received excellent service and selection at the SLP Wedding Day. My fiance and I were not the easiest clients when we were shopping for my engagement ring. We had a smaller budget and I did not know what ring style I liked but Andrea and Shauna helped us for months as we made our big decision. I think I tried on almost every ring in the store. I also went to many other stores but I felt the most comfortable and had the best selection at Wedding Day. I know we took up a lot of Andrea's and Shauna's time but they always made us feel very special everytime we walked in the door. Even today they are so friendly when I come in to get my ring cleaned. It is nice to come to a place where people really care for you. more

I did my homework, walked in, had an idea of what I wanted to purchase to surprise my future fiance but did not know everything to look for. The staff sat me down, talked me through the C's of buying a diamond and then thouroughly listened to what I was looking for in a ring. I needed a certain style to withhold the demands of my soon to be fiance's job but wanted a style that still had class. WDD showed me numerous stones within the budget I gave them knowing I had a higher budget than mentioned. The staff never tried to upsell me or pressure me into buying something I could not afford. I finally asked to see the next stone up in a radiant as I had wanted and then we matched that stone to a ring that met the needed requirements. The ring came out perfect and my now fiance loves it. The ring even came in under my actual budget!!! We had to have the stone reset since the purchase, as it had come loose. WDD repaired the ring at no charge and had it back to us in the time they said it would be done. I recommend WDD to ANYONE looking for a no hassle jewelry purchase as well as EXCELLENT follow up customer service!!! more

I was a frantic bride when I walked into Wedding Day Diamonds at West End, having been told by another jeweler less than six weeks before my wedding that the wedding band we had ordered for me wouldn't be ready in time for the wedding. Shauna and Charlie were heaven sent - they were so kind to my poor, freaked out self. But more than that - they were solution-oriented and incredibly helpful. I had specific requirements for my ring so that it would go well with my engagement ring, and they worked with me to find just the right solution that very night. They knew their inventory, they knew what would and wouldn't work, and they gave me honest feedback - when I asked! - about the choices in front of me. It was useful and it was reassuring, and they were professional the entire time. Even more impressive? Shauna promised that we would have it in our hands two weeks before the wedding, even custom made, and tonight we picked up my beautiful, perfect wedding band that my fiance will put on my hand in two weeks and two days. She practically stalked the folks to make sure it would be ready, and ready it is! Even more impressive than that? I got a call from Shauna about an hour ago saying that in the end the ring had been less expensive than what they had *already* *charged* me for, and she would be refunding over one thousand dollars to my credit card. She could've never told me that and I would have been none the wiser. That's integrity, and that's professional, and that's the sort of place and the sort of people I will be referring my friends and family to for years. Go to Wedding Day Diamonds at West End. I assure you, it will be a wise choice for you. more

Everyone at the West End was wonderful. My fiance and I are extremely happy with our purchase. I purchased our engagement ring at Rogers and Hollands. I was very disappointed with the service we received. When it came time to get our wedding band, we visited the friendly staff at West End. Andrea helped us find a perfect match to my fiance's engagement ring. She was so helpful and upbeat. About 4 month's later, it came time to pick up our ring, and we really did wait until the last minute. We had 5 days until our wedding and we still needed to check the fitting, and sauter the rings together. It was an error on my part to hold off so long. I felt nervous and embarressed when we went back in to the store. Shauna rushed our order through and we are going to have our ring already by our wedding day. Shauna was extremely friendly and helpful. I can't thank her enough. My advise to anyone who is in the market for engagement/wedding bands. Go visit the folks at West End. I cannot say enough about Andrea and the staff at Wedding Day Diamonds in St. Louis Park! I went in wanting to just gain information about diamonds. I was close to proposal, but had no clue what I wanted or even how to begin such a daunting task. I was immediately greeted by Andrea and felt very comfortable. I had very little knowledge about diamonds, rings, or how to pick out the perfect one. Andrea treated me as if I was her only priority. She took as much time as I needed to learn everything I wanted. I was between a broker recommended by a friend and Andrea. By the end of the process Andrea helped create a ring that was custom made, with a diamond bigger than I ever thought I could get on my budget, and all this was done for less than the personal broker could do! Not to mention it came with Wedding Day's lifetime warranty; it couldn't be beat! There were countless times where Andrea and the rest of the staff went way out of their way to give me the perfect ring, and the perfect engagement. Now my wife gets daily compliments on her ring, and because it was custom made, there is no other ring in the world that compares! Trust me, take the stress and worry out of engagement shopping, simply stop into Wedding Day in St. Louis Park, ask for Andrea and you won't be disappointed. more

I wanted to let others know about one of the most amazing experiences I?ve had at Wedding Day with the staff at the West End store. (there have been many) After Shauna, Andrea, Marie and everyone made my wife and I so comfortable and feel like part of the family during our engagement ring and wedding ring selections I knew I could count on Shauna to be there to help with a special project for my wedding. I had my mother?s original engagement wedding diamonds that had years ago been reworked to a large center diamond with 5 smaller diamonds set around it in a star pattern. The ring was one that my mom could no longer wear and so I brought this to Shauna with the thought of making it into a pendant to present to my mom just before my wedding ceremony. She not only thought that was a great idea, she then immediately showed me 3-4 options and styles that we could use. Because of the relationship that Shauna created with us during our visits, it seemed that she could read my mind and figure out exactly what would work and look best. I left it in her hands and I was not disappointed and neither was my mom. It was a special touch that I will always remember and be thankful that Shauna was there to help me out. more
