Disappointed 1/29/2007

We had heard great things, however we didn't really see where it measued up to our expectations. Service a little slow but cordial and accurate. The ingredients used are tasty if a bit copious, and the aroma is enticing even from out in the parking lot, BUT our pie disappointed in a couple of ways! Far more bready than desirable and the toppings were the type that stick together and slide right off the bread. >:-( Also, the very center of the pie was sitting in liquid probably weeped from one of the toppings, we didn't care for that at all. Unfortuately, those things combined with the drafty and dingy eating area and the muddy parking lot equals no return trip anytime soon. Pros: Aroma, toppings Cons: sloppiness of the pie, dingy dining area more

Definitely a primo pizza 1/4/2007

Vincent's Pizza Park has been my personal favorite pizza shop since moving to the eastern part of Pittsburgh. Pros: Plenty of parking space Cons: No delivery more

Lake Vinny Rules! 11/25/2006

Best pizza anywhere on the planet! I would be happily sacrifice relatives of mine to eat this pizza at Vinny's. more

Vincent's is back 9/25/2006

I grew up on Vinnie's pie, nobody made it better the him, since he has not been making the pizza, it was not as good, so i stopped going. Last week I decided to try it again, somebody told me he had a girl making the pizza's and she was trained by Vince. WOW!! That was just like the old days... Perfect. Any old timers, still looking for the old vin pie. Go GET It. Make sure Shelly is making the pie, and you will be happy. more

THE GREATEST PIZZA IN THE USA 9/4/2006

I've had pies in floida, boston, philly, chicago, nyc, maine, colorado, etc Pros: everything that you could want in a local pizza pub is here. the darknessthe smoky atmosphere (not really but you'd think...) and if you were there 15 yrs ago you would've seen vinnie smoking while he flipped your pies! haha! Cons: don't order the tap water and make sure you have cash and not credit more

Fricking awesome! 8/28/2006

Okay, I am originally from the west coast, let us move on....... Pros: The best pizza (seriously) Cons: There isn't one down the street! more

THE BEST PIZZA YOU WILL EVER EAT! 8/17/2006

This is pizza at its best. There's none of this measured-out, weighed and carefully placed look. This is not health food and makes no pretense to be. It's just good ingredients, lot of them and a great taste that's unique and immediately recognizable. I started eating here as a high school student in 1964. I always enjoyed watching the master at his craft. There were no pretenses and no atmosphere, just great pizza. Four decades later I live in South Carolina but make sure that I eat a Vinnie Pie every time I get to Pittsburgh. Pros: Best Pizza Ever Cons: None - Great Pizza more

Travels well 7/18/2006

This pizza is SO GOOD that once I traveled for 12 hours from Wheeling WV to Saranac Lake NY Pros: The pizza...That's all that counts. more

Knock your socks off good pizza 7/3/2006

My first time eating this pizza was an end of the term ""party"" my teacher had for us. we picked up 2 pizzas and took them back to the school I went to. when I got home that night I told my wife we have to go there you will love this food. we went once a week for six months. now we go as often as possible. This food is well worth the drive from anywhere. Pros: great prices, great food, great service. Cons: the only thing that I can say negative about this place is that it is on a divided highway so to speak more

A Vinnie Pie would be my choice as my last meal on earth 6/22/2006

If I were dying today and I could have a final meal, it would honestly be a Vincent's pizza. I am a former Pittsburgher and make a trip to Vinnie's every time I go back to Pittburgh. I have been going for over 20 years and my parents have gone for 50 years. Vinnie's Pizza is without a doubt the best pizza on the planet. I have traveled to 40 U.S. states and 16 international countries. I have never found a pizza that compares. more

The best in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 6/7/2006

I've traveled to places all over the country for the last twenty years, and the first place I go when I come back into town is Vincent's. There is no other pizza worth mentioning. The world would be perfect if Vince built a shop in Penn Hills. If that happened, there would be no reason to leave Penn hills, except to go to Steeler games. Pros: food and Pittsburgh atmospher Cons: They aren't open 24 hours a day more

Best in da 'Burgh 6/2/2006

A hole in the wall place with a parking lot the size of a truck stop. The pizza is piled high in toppings and I mean literally. Watch out when ordering your size of pizza. I saw a couple come in, order a large pizza, eat a piece each, and take the rest home because the pizzas are oversized. All the waitresses are good looking. If you don't smoke, you might want your pizza to go. It's like the ""cool"" thing to do there. They get a lot of business--too bad they only take cash. Best pizza in Pittsburgh! Pros: The pizza is the best, Smokers, Plenty of parking Cons: They take cash only more

A Pittsburgh Institution 5/27/2006

I was raised on NY pizza, and Vincents is NOT NY style, but it's wonderful and unique in all the world. IMPORTANT: you have to eat Vincent's pizzas AT Vincents, the take-out is not the same, they're cooked more and are drier to hold up in a box. Yes it's a dive, get over it. Vincent's pizzas are cooked in a hot steam oven which makes the crust bubble up to 2"" high and makes the crust crunchy on the outside and moist inside. There's ""juice"" on the bottom of the pan that's to die for. Break off some crust and dip it in the juice, a unique joy with a Vincent's pie. You can't pick up a vincent's slice, this one you eat with a fork. Pros: Vincent's Pizza! Cons: Atmosphere, Smokers more

The best It Can be! 12/1/2005

Tried them all but found this Vincent's Pie the winner over all. Pros: The building more

Too greasy 9/20/2005

It's the greasiest pizza I've ever had, not something I wish to put in my body. more

Pizza Heaven! 8/26/2005

My family has enjoyed Vincent's Pizza since before I was born. I remeber growing up on ""Vinnie Pies""! It is the best pizza I have ever tasted. It is the only pizza that has tons of cheese, a fluffy crust, and doesn't drown you in tomato sauce. I am originally from Pittsburgh and now go to school in Boston. Vincent's is always one of the first places where we go to eat when I come home! Pros: The Pizza, The service Cons: The place is a dive more

There is no other 7/11/2005

If you haven't had Vinnie's - you haven't had Pizza! My family has been going to Vinnie's for over 30 years - the thick crust, with toppings just thrown (not placed) on - WOW! I've never had another Pizza that has come close. I now live in Hickory, NC and actually received the best birthday gift last year - a delivered Pie via overnight delivery (yes, a service they offer) - IT WAS GREAT! If you are in Pittsburgh, you need to stop by, you will not regret it Pros: GREAT!, GREAT!, GREAT! Cons: you're kidding right?, you're kidding, none more

Simply the best pie anywhere 7/11/2005

I have eaten at Vincents so many times that I lost count long ago. I have never found anything close to compare. I started going there back in the early seventies and I am still going. I live in Detroit now but its ussually my first stop when I land in the ""Burgh"". I've traveled all over the states and Europe and haven't found anything that is remotely comparable. Especially surprising considering I am a pizzaholic at heart. All the locals know about it. If you haven't been there - you're are - missing the boat!!! more

Awesome 5/25/2005

Best pizza in the world. The grease is what makes it so good. Eveytime you go you think that it can't be as good as last time but yes it is. more

This is the best pizza ever, if you ever want to franchise please count me in!!! more
