I grew up in Wilkinsburg and have been eating at Vincent's for >25 years --- less recently as I've become a ""little"" more health conscious. Pros: Tasty pizza Cons: Horri...

Agree 12/17/2002

I grew up eating pizza and once I found Vincent's pizza as a teen I've eaten it to this day. I live in North Carolina and every year when I return I eat his pizza. more

Nuttin' better 'n Vinnie Pie! 12/6/2002

I've been eating Vinnie Pie for about 25 years, what else can I say? Do I go for the service, ambience, companionship? NO! I go for the best damn pizza. Period. Takeout service is fast and efficient. Pros: Good Pie, Good Pie, Good Pie Cons: I can only eat, Good Pie more

The best! 12/6/2002

It doesn't get any better than this pizza. The atmosphere is almost as great as the pizza. more

love it or hate it-sloppy is good 12/5/2002

Excellent sauce, cheese, and other toppings. The pizza is sloppy but fantastic. Toppings are thrown on by the handfuls. Meat toppings can make it greasy but just let it drip off and suck in the leftovers. Pros: great pizza, free ample parking Cons: expensive, waiting more

azzip ta s'ti tseb - pizza at it's best 12/5/2002

Simply put...the best anywhere...yes, ANYWHERE! A small w/1 topping wweighs just under 5#. After a Vinnie's pie, you wonder what the other guys are selling. Probably the 1st pizza restaurant in the area (I remember it as a kid in the early '50s), with the leaves hanging from the ceiling. Maybe greasy, maybe too much of thhis or that, but still the best ANYWHERE (Irwin location also rates a 'ten' in my book). Life is short...we only go around once...try it... Pros: Value, 'the experience', taste more

MMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!! 12/5/2002

The best pizza in my book!!!!! My favorite is with pepperoni and olives. Somehow their pepperoni is so much better than any I have ever tasted. You will get your moneys worth here!!!! Pros: ingredients, value, taste more

A classic establishment 11/27/2002

I grew up on Vincent's pizza. Many great late night memories at this place. Vince is the master and this is the best pizza in ANY city. Too bad he didn't do this in my current home state of California. I would personally flip pies and add chest hairs just like he does. Charlie Ricci Pros: the taste, the people, the place Cons: too clean, not open all night, the place more

Heavenly Pizza with a Hellish Atmosphere 11/27/2002

Trying to sleep at night when you lived by the restaurant was impossible. The odor would penitrate any wall. It is the best pizza in the Pittsburgh area. It is very greasy and runny. Not to say what it will do to you the next morning, but it is worth every penny. The location is not in the city, Forest Hills/North Bradock (Ardmore Blvd) area, but it is worth the drive with a bunch of friends for the night out. Pros: Quality, Service, Taste Cons: Location, Dirty more

THE BEST!!!!! 11/27/2002

Best Pizza Ever 11/27/2002

When you walk into Vincents, the smell is amazing. The pizza is absolutely delicious. The best ever. Pros: great food more

what a great time 11/24/2002

nice size pizza large slices and generous toppings it was a great dinning experience. enjoyed it alot. more

Vinnie's Pie 11/12/2002

If you want to shock your buds with a gargantiun pie this is the place to get it from. Hunks of toppings are piled on to a 1 to 2 inch-thick crust,a fully loaded pie runs about 18 pounds. This is the best in town, you cannot come to Pittsburgh with out having a Vinnie's Pie (watch out for the knock off joint in Irwin the food is just not the same) Pros: best crust Cons: scummy joint more

The best 11/5/2002

The best!! It reminds me of the old time pizza, before the chain rest. came in and made them come on an assembly line more

da Burgh's Best Pizza 11/1/2002

Vincent's Pizza Park is, hands down, the best damn pizza in the Pittsburgh area. It's unique, original, odd (in a good way), tastes great, tons of toppings, plenty of greasy slop to enjoy. Cheese galore! I don't think there is really anything I can say that won't be said much better by just going out and getting a Vinnie Pie. Pros: not always crowded, tasty Cons: can be expensive, is out of the way more

Best Pizza in Pittsburgh 10/31/2002

Nothing compares to this. It is Simply the best Pizza in Pittsburgh more

You're Only Cheating Yourself 10/31/2002

Growing up in Pittsburgh, one of my favorite experiences was going for pizza at Vincent's. If you've never tried it you're only cheating yourself. I'm currently in Tel Aviv, Israel and I'm trying to think of a way to have a few Vin pies shipped to me. Pros: Great Pizza, atmosphere, Great Pizza more

Freakin Fantastic 10/15/2002

If you never had Vinnie Pie you are in for a treat. Nowhere in the Pittsburgh area can you get anything close to it. I has a Chicago deep dish slant to it, but it is pure Pittsburgh original. Lots of dough, cheese, fantastic sauce and any toppings you can think of. No one leaves Vinnie's hungry...no one! Pros: don't change a thing more

Far away dreams 10/7/2002

My husband and I live in Phoenix, AZ. We are originally from Pittsburgh. When we are planning a trip home to visit family and friends, first on our list is time to visit Vincent's. If only they could ship the stuff UPS. The pizza is worth the thousands of miles we have to travel to get it. more

it's the best in town i say 9/26/2002

i have ate at mineo's many times and the citysearch editorial favorite pepperoni's once, and i'd say vincent's is the best by far. the pizza is greasy and lopsided round, but that's a part of the reason it's so good. also, the vinnie pie's are humougus and come loaded with pepperoni and and great tasting cheese which rocks. i have never had a bad pizza from this place. it's worth the drive from anywhere in pittsburgh. Pros: pizzas are huge, loaded with toppings, excellent taste Cons: dumpy inside, far drive from city, isolated location more

Delivery to LA 9/23/2002

I live in Los Angeles, and have had pizza from all over the world. Vincent's Pizza is by far the best. I can even have them deliver from Pittsburgh, and it'll be in my home the next day for lunch. The best!!! Pros: Family-like, Great food, Great ambience more
