I wanted to thank the tech at Vigilante plumbing for his wonderful work and for being so gracious on such a hot day. It was a pleasure to have him in her house & due to the fact that we have such a wonderful employee she will be a customer for life and will call us for her plumbing & heating needs. more

Excellent Service, OK Price: I had a toilet leak problem. Called Vigilante and they said that they would arrive Saturday between 9-12. They got there at 8:30 (a big plus in my book!), looked at the job and realized that they needed a different part. They left the house, went to the store to buy the part, and were back installing it within 1 hour. None of the usual run-around about ordering the part and needing another visit to install etc. They did a great job and I am very pleased with the service. My only knock is that I feel I paid a bit more for the great service, but that is a trade I am willing to make all day. I would definitely recommend these guys and use them again. more

We had a midnight flood in the basement during a rain storm and Vigilante was the only place of the handful we called that would came at 1am. I had to give a credit card over the phone for the $200 emergency fee before they would call a tech.\r \r 2 hours later he showed up. The problem seemed obvious to us all, the waste line out of the building was clogged and the water backing up into the basement (the rain gutters drain into the house sewage line). The plumber started a pump to drain the water on the floor out to the street and managed somehow slow the flow of rainwater into the sewage line, and that's about all he did.\r \r He snaked the drain once, got nothing and said it was the city's problem and left. 12 hours later the DEP showed up and showed us it was fine on the city's end and that the problem was obviously still in the house. \r \r We then called another plumber who got lots of debris out on the first try with the snake and then ran it several more times to make sure it was clear. Vigilante charged more for less work plus the emergency fee. Never again. Pros: Emergency service Cons: Job poorly done, cost more

Picking a plumber is never easy. There are so many businesses out there and sometimes looking for the best price isn’t the smartest move. While discussing a plumbing issue someone recommended Vigilante plumbing. I checked out their site and was impressed. Yes! The girl who answered the phone said something along the line “It’s a wonderful day, how can we make you smile?” After a 3 minute phone call I was told a technician will stop by in about 2 hours. The technician showed up on time but I was not home (I had to pick up my daughter from school – small emergency). The lady from the office called and I thought I would have to reschedule but to my surprise the guys offered to wait until I made it home (20 minutes late). I paid a fee for the estimate. Both men (technician and assistant) explained every issue and the solution. They spent approx 1 hour with me answering every question (even the silly questions). The guys did not seem rushed, and I certainly did not feel pressured. The price was a little out of my range so I paid for the estimate and told the guys I would call if they were needed. After receiving a few more estimates I decided to go with Vigilante – something about the two guys just felt right. I called the office and scheduled an appointment for the following day. The work was completed in the time frame given. While fixing the initial problem the assistant noticed a potential future issue – after a brief discussion I agreed to let the guys repair it. I had to leave to pick my daughter up from school and by the time I came back the guys had the entire area CLEAN. They wore these blue booties the entire time so they did leave footprints or dirt. Both guys had cleaned my bathroom like a professional. I was completely shocked – my tub, floor and walls were spotless. When I questioned the guys they said their job was to leave the area in the same condition from when they started, it should not have looked disturbed. The money paid was well worth it. Whenever someone mentions a plumbing problem I always recommend Vigilante. By the way – the estimate fee was deducted from my balance due which was nice. The Vigilante technicians were two of the most professional, kind and patient workers I have ever dealt with. I hope this review helps. We use Vigilante for maintenance of our boiler. They're a large company, and can send someone quickly in an emergency (pipe burst, etc.). But, you pay a lot for that service. For regular jobs, I'd recommend finding someone else. more
