I understand you close at 12:30 on a Saturday and don't have any appointments available. How about recommending a few alternatives and a sincere sounding "We're Sorry" instead of being rude. Thanks for making my wife who was already in physical pain cry over the rude treatment! more

I have been going for over ten years. Dr. lee is the best! I have had some issues with the transition of the desk staff, but when I voiced my concerns, they were address satisfactorily. I would not recommend the Nurse Practitioner. She did not review my history and I had to come back twice for the Flu. She ultimately gave me medication that caused my known condition to flare up and I was hospitalized. I recommend that you see the Dr. who is familiar with your health concerns see that person each time. Dr. Lee is thorough, patient and caring. I would highly recommend him. more

Been a patient for 20 years, but I am looking for a new primary care physician. I took my daughter in today to see Dr. "T" and she was very rude and uncaring. She did not take the time to explain things to us and was judgmental and condescending. She did not listen to our complaints and I felt that I diagnosed my daughter more than she did. Her bedside manner was horrible and we felt rushed. The nurses and support staff were very kind and apologetic for this doctor's behavior. Nurse Mendoza was excellent and treated us with respect. In my opinion, the quality of care has declined over the years and I can't say that I would recommend this facility to any of my friends. more

I know reviews are often left by the few persons who have negative experiences, and the rest of us never bother. We moved to NOVA recently, and I've been in to VFM several times, often on short notice. I was immediately connected to a physician, who I saw every time (plus a P/A or N/P). They were thorough, professional, and I have never waited more than 5 minutes. They have also given me a recommended list of specialists for a condition, and he was fantastic. The desk was courteous and I like that they move things along smoothly and quickly. I recommend this group highly. more

Good: For a simple cold or flu, they were quick and efficient. Most of the staff are very nice and helpful.. Bad: The doctor seemed unable to comprehend medical issues beyond the basics...more like a junior nurse than a doctor.. Improvements: If you understand it, treat it. If you do not understand it, admit it.. more

Something's seriously wrong with this place. I saw a nurse practitioner for a couple of years who was good, but then she left. They rarely let me see an actual doctor. When I did, the doc spent 30 sec w/me and didn't even review my medical history of ashtma. When I called back with problems with my medication, they had a receptionist diagnose me over the phone, saying that it was probably "just a virus". I treated myself at home for asthma, otherwise would have had to go to the ER. Should probably sue for malpractice. They are irresponsible. The only good part is that the waiting room is never busy, which probably means that they have very few patients. more

I have been calling them (almost 5 times a day)for two days now to discuss my blood work and I still haven't gotten a call back. more

The Doctor's are fine but expect to wait on the phone for at least 10 minutes in order to schedule an appointment. There processes also seem inefficient for example you can not schedule an appointment that is for a day in advance which is rather inconvenient.. more

Good: They do have their own lab in the building - which saves time from running to an outside lab.. Bad: The front desk staff is either poorly trained, badly supervised or they just don't care. I have gone here for four years and it's a nightmare if you need anything from this office that isnt within arms reach. You are not allowed to speak to the physicians about test results - a nurse might call you to give you the results (but you will probably have to call to ask for them). This is fine unless you have a question for the doctor. Again, they *will not* allow you to speak to one on the phone.. Improvements: Easier access to physician regarding test results. Better front desk staff training and office management. This place likes to think it has its act together - but it really doesn't. Their inappropriate behavior may go unnoticed to many who do not have any expectations to begin with - but there are patients who DO have expectations and can remember when physicians and their staff took time to care.. Other: Nobody wants to hear a medical offices excuses about how restrictive the healthcare industry has become because of the insurance companies, etc etc. Vienna Fam Med is essentially a large local processing facility focusing on patient volume rather than quality care. I've spoken to the physicians there and the office manager(s) about how I feel and they are indifferent as they view my concerns as the exception rather than the rule. Since my ins. company has changes, I will now be going elsewhere.. more

I have been going to Vienna Family Medicine for about a year and a half. In that time have visited three times and have been pleased. The staff is friendly and professional. It is hard to get an appointment if you are not dying though! THe wait time for an annual checkup was over one month.
