HORRIBLE HORRIBLE place! 8/19/2012

This place has gone downhill ever since they got a new manager. Vetco had done a huge turnaround when they hired the former manager Maggie. She got rid of the bad staff that was working there when she got hired, which was a bad bad bunch! She always had a smile on her face. She had a genuine love for every pet that walked in the door! She would mingle with all of us waiting in the lobby, giving each pet attention and answering any questions people had. And if she didn't have the answer, she got it for you. I cannot believe Vetco got rid of such a caring, helpful employee!! This new manager is rude, and doesn't show any care for the pets, it is all about money. I heard yesterday that this new manager fired my favorite tech this week as well! The staff used to seem happy to be at work and now they just look miserable. Whatever Vetco is doing, over hauling the hospital staff, well, it is a huge mistake. One bad apple can truly spoil the whole bunch and this new manager is that more

VACCINES 6/2/2010

Hawaiigrl\r \r I am a top end pomeranian breeder and own the #3 pomeranian in the united States for 2009. FYI THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN OVERDOSE OF VACCINES. YOU MUST GIVE THE FULL DOSAGE FOR THE VACCINE TO BE EFFECTIVE. Look out, the second vet you went to will cause your puppy to die because your undervaccinate and the puppy gets parvo or distemper which is presently in epidemic status in Los Angeles County. more

Dr. Hirschbein is FABULOUS 5/12/2010

It saddens me that there are so many negative review of this clinic as it reflects negatively on the NEW VET that has taken over the hospital. Dr. Misty Hirschbein is amazing and I hope everyone gives her a new opportunity to care for their pets. Our rescue organization is proud to have Dr. H caring for our sick and injured shelter animals that receive no care from the animal shelters. She is really great with them all, caring, compassionate and NOT there just to run up the highest bill she can. more

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT and SERVICE!!! 4/20/2010

Horrible place!!! Don't go there!!! People that are working there are a horrible!!! So unprofessional! No help whatsoever. They cause more grief and stress than anything! Especially, MERCEDES, soon to be manager!!! GOOD LUCK with that!! This clinic will have less and less patients if she becomes manager!!! So immature!!! My dog was very sick and we were returning to drop of some specimen and wanted to speak to the doctor well she practically kicked us out letting us know that it was not her concern (pretty much). We and other customers were in total shock of her attitude. For everyone out there that is concerned with their dogs and want everything but the best care do not come here!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!! more

Horrible and Lying Veterinarian 2/22/2010

A couple of months ago i took my hamster to see the new exotic vet at vetco burbank, seemed nice but when i ket asking her questions about my pet she didnt seem to have the straight answer, either way my hamster had an exam and she was given medication, the next day my hamster died, I was furious so obviously i went for answers, somehow i could not get straight answers she kept going around in circles,I HONESTLY DONT THINK SHE KNOWS A THING ABOUT EXOTIC ANIMALS I ASKED AS WELL IF MY PET WAS A MALE OR FEMALE THAT DAY FOR THE EXAM AND SHE WAS NOT ABLE TO TELL ME HOW CAN THAT BE??? I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY SOMEONE WOULD TRUST THEIR BUISNESS ON A DOCTOR WHO PRETENDS TO KNOW ABOUT EXOTIC ANIMALS, I ALSO LOOKED HER UP TO SEE IF SHE WAS CERTIFIED IN EXOTICS AND SUPRISE DR. HIRSBEIN IS NOT SO BEWARE OF THIS VET AND HER PRACTICE SHE DEFINITELY IN MY OPINION DOES NOT KNOW WHAT SHES DOING. more

Awful, Awful Place! 2/11/2010

This is a terrible, truly awful hospital. I went here years ago, and they had a technician who was impersonating a doctor for a while. The staff was disorganized, could never find my chart, etc. I didn't go here again for many years, but then I found out they had fired everyone and restaffed the place, so I thought I'd give them a chance. \r \r I took my cats there last year and the doctor I saw was great. Super nice, attentive, the whole nine. My cats got their teeth cleaned, and they were good to go. I took them back about a year later for routine check-ups and vaccines, and this time the vet I got was abysmal. The worst, most awful vet ever! They gave my poor cats a raabies vaccine they didn't need (they'd gotten one the year before, and it's good for 3 years) because they did not bother to check their charts. Even thought they had pulled them.\r \r Then the vet nearly scares me to death, telling me that my cats had FIV virus. I told her that they had been vaccinated for FIV, w more

Vetco Pet Hospital is WONDERFUL 9/30/2009

We love this hospital! We have three Pomeranian Puppies and they all have had all their shots and been spayed and neutered here. The staff is kind and friendly and remember us. If I only bring in one pup they always ask about the others. The prices are extremely reasonable compared to other vet clinics and hospitals in the area. It is a neat and clean facility and I would recommend it to everyone. more

Great vet!! 11/20/2008

I have a Lab.. I take her to another great hospital that is WAY more expensive than Vetco.. I also have a puppy Chihuahua that I take here. Vetco Burbank. First for puppy vac... then for neutering. The place is clean, The service is great. The Vet is very helpful!! I see nothing wrong with this place. I recommend 100%. And they are open everyday besides Monday. more

STAY CLEAR AWAY!! I put my trust just because they give low cost vaccines at various PETCOS..so wrong. 8/14/2008

Yesterday I had my little toy pomeranian go in for the first time to this location for her rabies shot. After waiting for 1 hr and having their disorganized staff put people who came in after me, before me, I kept my cool since I was having a nice day..and waited..until I finally got up when I was 2nd to the last person in the waiting room..THEN they finally put me in an empty room, without any apology. more

Very Helpful 6/26/2007

Vetco has a wonderful staff and doctor! They were all very kind and helpful. They were willing to help me not only in person but while on the phone as well. The doctor was very thorough in his evaluation of my pet and helped me to see what he was talking about. more

This hospital is right next store to petco. I just happened to walk in one day when I first got my puppy. I had not gotten his shots yet so I just decided to go in there and they were not busy so they were able to examine my puppy and give him the appropriate shots. The staff are all animal loving there. It just happens that they were not busy there so they took us in. I would recommend calling ahead of time and scheduling an appointment. Prices are very reasonable more
