PESIMO SERVICIO!!!... Norwalk, CA towing location . more

Rudest people ever!!! 7/21/2011

A customer of ours was in an accident in Santa Fe Springs. This company showed up on scene immediately and the police were called. We were on our way from Fontana, but since it would be 50 mins before we arrived and the police needed the street cleared, Vernola's towed the tractor and trailer down the street to their yard. Upon my driver's arrival (we are also a tow company), I was informed that there were issues with them releasing the truck. I called my customer who informed me that Vernola's would not fax or email him an invoice, so he could not pay the bill. Thinking that was strange, I called over to Vernola's myself and tried to retrieve the invoice so that my customer could pay their bill. I was informed by the very rude lady on the phone that she WOULD NOT give us any copy of the invoice before we paid. She said the reason was that we could possibly change something on the invoice before we paid it. To which I responded "" Well, you know how much the bill is. So, if we don't pay the proper amount, then you don't have to release the truck. Right?"" To which she responded (changing the subject) that I would have to have a letter from our customer saying it was ok to take possession of the vehicle because they were not told that we were going to pick it up. I then told her that I had spoken with her driver on-scene and he had given me the address to pick it up. Not to mention that the original driver of the wrecked tractor was in her office at the time and they could release it to him. The tractor arrived at their yard around 11am. By the time we retrieved the tractor it was around 1pm. Because the vehicle was in their yard before noon and stayed until after noon, they were able to charge my customer for 2 DAYS OF STORAGE! And, FYI Vernola's- It is common practice and usually company policy to have an invoice before you issue payment to someone. That is what an invoice is.... an INVOICE TO PAY. If you give it to them after it's called a receipt. And like I said, it is common practice in most companies (especially larger ones) to require an invoice before payment can be issued which is why we had such a problem yesterday in getting the payment to you. more

THEIVES!! 10/25/2010

The local police dept called us to inform us that our stolen car had been recovered and was stored at this tow company. It's been 2 weeks and the tow company refuses to release the car because they claim that they need an original authorization from the r/o who is my daughter and is away in college out of state. A faxed copy won't work for them...but it worked for the police department? It's quite evident that they are racking up the storage fees. Rose who sounds like a man and claims to be the Manager is EXTREMELY rude as well as everyone that works there! I've read many negative reports about this company and I don't understand why the Police Department has these losers under contract. I'm filing a report with the BBB as well as the State and the Police Department and everyone who has had a bad experience with them should do the same!!! If you're ever in need of a tow contact LA Car Carrier...They are the BEST and most honest people I have ever dealt with!!! more

Horrible people to deal with 10/2/2010

I have never seen such a company with poor business ethics, even though it is (loosely) considered legal. I was about to hand over $600 (impound fees for 4 days) + my pink slip for one of my trailers that was stolen a week back from my office in Orange County. They told me this was the only way to release the trailer and stop more charges from incurring to me, and that they would not be as ""nice"" in the future me if I did not pay. They were so horrible and so nasty about the process, including hanging up on me several times and not willing to discuss any options. They operate purely on scare tactics. Fortunately a call from my attorney led me stop from what he referred to as ""legal extortion."" I believe anyone who has received service like this owes it to themselves to call Whittier and Santa Fe Springs PD and let them know what is going on as I did. more

Vernola's Towing Service: Theives 11/10/2008

Under any circumstances DO NOT use Vernola's Towing Service, unless you don't mind having your personal items stolen and then covered up by employees who are rude and have no people skills. Mind you they have a 24 hour surveillance camera and yet they refuse to look at a specific date. I did not see this until after: Better Business review CompanyID=13219024 Pros: They are quickly there Cons: Do Not Allow Acess to Car, Steal Personal Property more
