Value Dry was a great experience from start to finish. The estimator was knowledgable and fast. He scheduled an appointment within a week (and could've actually done it sooner if I'd wanted). The 2-man crew who came to dig the trench was exceedingly polite, professional, hard-working and fast. They dug a 30-foot trench, and installed a sump pump and cemented over top of it, all in about 6 hours. \r \r I'd definitely recommend them. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 3/8/2013

My husband and I had just bought our first home and we couldn’t have been more thrilled! Except we never anticipated our basement leaking water almost every time it rained. My husband and I would wake up in a panic when we heard rain falling on the windows. We would run to the basement to find water streaming out from underneath the window casings, leaks coming from the floor wall junction and snaking across the floor from one length of the house to the other. After 3 rainstorms of this happening, an lots of practice using a shop vac at 2am, my husband and I said enough was enough! \r From the moment I called Value Dry I felt like there was still hope for our basement. The specialists that I spoke with to make the appointment to have one of their technicians come out to our home were extremely helpful! Daren come out to our home and accessed the situation and sat down with my husband and I and gave us a wide array of options to solve our issue. He was very helpful in understanding our want to fix our basement issues but also our need to stay in budget! He recommended installing a window drain, new section of French drain, and a new sump pump well along with replacing our old sump pump. 2 days later we had our new basement solution installed in only a few hours! The crew was FANTASTIC! They even arrived earlier then usual to accommodate both our very early work schedules. They were friendly and professional and took great care in keeping all aspects of my home clean in the process. \r Once all the work was completed my husband and I couldn’t wait for the next rainstorm! Sure enough it came and we were thrilled to actually be able to sleep all the way through the night without waking up in a panic, and the best part…. A DRY BASEMENT IN THE MORNING!! We are so very thankful for Value Dry and cannot thank them enough for restoring peace to our basement!!\r more

we were looking at for someone to fix our basement leaks. we looked into the company that did it before we bought the house and they went out of business. i emailed valuedry and they called and emailed the next day. by that saturday, an inspector was out looking at our basement. by friday, work was complete. i thought we would have had to wait longer to finish our basement. but they were on the ball with service! we will be recommending them to anyone that has any basement issues in the future! Thank you Value Dry! now we can complete our basement project knowing that we won't have anymore water damage! more

I decided to with Value Dry because of two things; the product and the sales/customer service. Value Dry was a great company to work with. When I had an issue with my system they came out that same day to inspect everything. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family. more

Value Dry kept every appointment, finished in faster time than promised. The basement survived Hurricane Sandy and the backup water-driven sump pump worked for the 3 days the power was off. I recommend Value Dry. more

Day 1\r The first day of work went smoothly. At the end of the first day, I was told the job would be completed the next day. It was not.\r \r Day 2\r On the second day ValueDry was supposed to install a sink, but they could not because the concrete was not dry and the sink was not at my house. I was asked to sign the paperwork saying the job was completed even though it was acknowledged that the sink was not installed and was not even present at the house. The representative told me someone would call around 8 am the next day to schedule installation of the sink. I declined to sign the paperwork. \r When I arrived home I went to look at the progress of the work. The washing machine hook up had a thin plastic sheet wrapped around it and a slow leak was draining into a bucket that was almost full. We emptied the bucket and put it back to collect the water, just as ValueDry had left it.\r \r Day 3\r The next day (day 3) no one called to schedule installation of the sink. I arrived home from a half day of work there was water along almost the entire length of the back wall. The bucket had overflowed. The water to the house had to be shut off to prevent the puddle from growing. I called ValueDry and was told they would never leave a house with a leak like that, and that I should call a plumber; when I pressed further, it was admitted that the leak was not supposed to be left dripping into a bucket and that there was a “miscommunication.” Someone came to the house to clean up the majority of the water, and he connected the washing machine to prevent any additional leaking. I still had to Shop-Vac the basement flood where the water was. \r I called to file a complaint. I told the gentleman I spoke with about the water in the basement, and that no one scheduled the installation of the sink. He checked into the sink installation and informed me the crew planned to be there the next afternoon, but they never confirmed with me this was acceptable. Next, the gentleman asked, “What do we have to do to make you happy?” I replied that I was not sure, but that I was very disappointed. I emailed him the pictures of my basement (yes, there are pictures!). The gentleman stated that he would call me back to discuss this further. We never did discuss what would make me happy.\r \r Day 4\r A woman called to schedule the sink installation (this was done the day before). However, she needed to determine what time I would be home to sign the paperwork for job completion. I told her that I was waiting for a call back from a gentleman about a leak in the basement. She informed me that the gentleman I spoke with several days prior was sending a check for $150, even though we never spoke and I did not agree to accept any money as compensation for the leak. \r \r Several Days Later\r I went to do a load of laundry, and discovered that the sink was not securely fastened to the S pipe on the floor. All the water from a full load of laundry went all over the floor. There was more water than when the dripping faucet was left to drain into a bucket. ValueDry did send a technician to make a “temporary fix” until a sink can be properly connected. \r \r I have probably had more water in the basement since ValueDry started work than I did before the basement was waterproofed. I felt pressured to sign the financing paperwork prior to the job being completed. I was extremely distressed when I saw the water all along the basement wall. The lack of communication and proper scheduling was stressful and disappointing. The service I received was not worth the stress, anxiety, and constant lack of knowledge as to the status of work. If I could do this over I would choose another company! For your own sanity, please look for someone else to waterproof your basement. more

We hired Value Dry to waterproof our basement and I truly couldn't be happier! They were clean, efficient and stood by their work. Even when there was a slight incident with a water pipe, they stood by their promise to take care of everything and they did. The basement is completely waterproofed now and we are in the process of having it finished. We were just recently slammed with Hurricane Sandy as well which was going to be the true test of Value Dry's work - and there wasn't a single drop anywhere! I couldn't be happier and I highly recommend this company!!!!! more

The contractors from Value Dry that came to my house were early, courteous and very professional. They finished the waterproofing job in a matter of a few hours and worked straight through lunch. The ultimate test was Hurricane Sandy and we did not get any water in the basement like we previously did in past storms. Water used to be a problem in our basement but not anymore. Thank you Value Dry for doing such a wonderful job and also to the consultant who was very thorough and explained the whole process to us during the free estimate evaluation.\r more

We had discovered some visible mold in our unfinished basement and quite frankly did not know what to do. We called another company who came in and take a look. They focused on the mold remediation and quoted us about $6000 which covered the remediation and inspection of our personal effects to determine if they were comprimised or could be saved. That seemed like a lot of money for just getting rid of mold, but we were about ready to pull the trigger when we decided to get a second estimate.\r \r Using Angie's List, I solicited ValueDry for an estimate on a Friday. The person answering the phone was very polite and helpful in getting me an appointment ASAP that met my schedule. Darin was very prompt to our appointment time. He was very helpful in explaining a lot and pointing out many things that we did not know. He was clearly very knowledgeable and experienced. He pointed out that remediating the mold was clearly a good idea, but fixing the problem for good was in our best interest. We definitely wanted something done so we would not have to be concerned in the future about it because we had plans to finish the basement. After an interior and an exterior inspection, during which Darin pointed out a few things that we may want to consider doing unrelated to ValueDry's work, he came up with two proposals for us. After evaluating them both, we chose the interior solution and looked for a quick start. He was able to have his team onsite as soon as the next day, but cautioned that it was largely due to ValueDry's very unpredictable schedule. After working out the details of what we needed done, Darin committed to have his team there on Wednesday and estimated about two days work. I received a confirmation call from Value Dry the next day to confirm that the team would arrive on Wednesday morning between 8am and 8:30am.\r \r The foreman, Steve, arrived at 7:45am on Wednesday and politely introduced himself and his team and was ready to get started. They were here for a couple days and did a truly terrific job. Being the curious type, I poked in on them a number of times in the two days and Steve was more than happy to answer any questions I had. He showed me what they were doing and how it all was done. Throughout the entire job, I felt they were very professional and courteous. I have zero complaints with their work and had a very pleasant experience form start to finish. I would have no problem giving this company my repeat business and full recommendation. \r more

Find another company to do your basement! They did mine in 2004 (when they were still in Norristown) and I'm STILL waiting for them to finish the hookup! Horrible job. Called them in December 2010 with wet spots and am still waiting for a call back. They refuse to honor their lifetime guarantee and now won't even return my call. I just want my money back so I can tear it out and have it redone by a reputable company. more

Value Dry French drained my basement recently. The Value Dry team was very professional and did an amazing job. They completed everything within 3 days, as promised. They covered any areas that they had to walk through to get to the basement and they left everything as clean as they found it. I would certainly recommend Value Dry without hesitation. more

Value Dry Great Work! 5/10/2012

I would highly recommend ValueDry to anyone in need of mold remediation. My wife and I noticed mold growth in our basement and were concerned with the health ramifications that it could cause. We called ValueDry and they sent a terrific representative to our home. Brian C. is a very friendly, knowledgeable, and realistic representative and we could tell this right away. He came over and performed the tests, followed up, and provided the results ASAP. He was also the foreman for our remediation which was a large project that only took two days (three to pick up equipment). We always felt at ease and knew that the job would be done thoroughly and professionally. If you make ValueDry your choice, definitely ask for Brian C. He’s the best! more

From the initial consultation to the final cleanup, this was an extremely pleasant company to work with. They helped us finance our project and now we have a lifetime guarantee that's certainly added to the value of our home. If you never want to worry about your valuables getting flooded, go with this company. -Matt more

Pleased Customer! 4/14/2012

We hired Value Dry to fix two cracks in our foundation. We currently have our house up for sale and the home inspection stated the cracks should be fixed. We called Value Dry and someone came out right away. He clearly communicated what had to be done and how much it would cost. He was very professional and knowledgeable. We hired them on the spot. There was a crew out shortly after and they worked efficiently for the next two days. The crew was great! They explained what they were doing and even let my children watch them as they worked. The job was extremely neat and everything was put back the way they found it. I would recommend Value Dry to anyone! Thanks Value Dry!! more

Very Happy Customer 3/19/2012

I can say my basement is no longer flooding, damp, or smelly. I'm very happy with the whole process. The service was great. The salesman knew his business and offered an affordable solution that is working great. more

Sump Pump/Drainage Solution 3/18/2012

Value Dry upgraded our existing sump pump arrangement providing a higher capacity pump and adding backup pumps for improved pump out capabilities and a battery backup. However, we still had a drainage problem causing the pump to run almost continuously. Value Dry came back and checked the outside piping, recommended a new underground drain line going away from the house. Now we are back to having dry walls near the sump, a pump that only runs when needed and dry ground near that corner on the outside of the house. more

Excellent Service 3/15/2012

We had a sumppump installed in our basement to remediate a water problem. ValueDy was prompt, courteous, professional and VERY NEAT. The job was accomplished in a minimum of time with very little dust. Other contractors who came to finish the basement remarked that it was the neatest waterproofing job they had ever seen. The workers were very professional and nice. Haven't had enough rain to see if it works, but I'm confident in the job they did. more
