I have been a very satisfied cut and color client of Victor?s for over 6 years. During those years, he has provided consistent quality work. My experience has been that Victor?s style is one that includes truly listening to what the client wants to achieve with their cut or color, while providing his professional opinion as to the potential advantages and disadvantages of the end result. In addition the discussion doesn?t end there. Before the client leaves the salon, Victor always invites the client to discuss how they feel about the end result and if there is anything they would request differently the next time. In rare cases, where the client realizes that they might not have made the correct decision regarding the service they wanted and truly are dissatisfied with the result, Victor has always made arrangements for a follow-up appointment as quickly as possible, often times at his expense, to achieve a result satisfactory to the client. Won't go anywhere else for my hair 3/21/2009

Victor has been cutting my hair for a few years now and I recently started having him do color as well. He always listens to what I'm looking for, adds his own expertise and advice, and together we decide on a plan for my hair. At Volero they have created a beautiful, relaxing space to indulge in a bit of pampering. His current staff is friendly, knowledgeable and fun. I'm a bit shocked at the reviews saying they're too expensive. I've been to other salons of this quality and they're all WAY more expensive than my cuts from Victor. And I'm happier with my hair!! As for the negative reviews on here, I'm not sure if those people have unreachable standards, were having a bad day, or are just outright lying. The only time I've ever come close to having to wait for Victor was when he had a walk-in and graciously tried to work her in as she was begging him to (right in front of me!). He even asked if I was ok with waiting and made sure to fill up my glass of wine to make the 10 extra minutes a bit easier. I'll be having Victor do my hair until he retires or I move far, far away. A great salon and stylist 3/17/2009

I have been a client of Victors for nearly 10 years. I have from time to time tried other stylists as I have lived as far as Ridgefield WA and felt it far away. But alas, I return again and again. Victor keeps my hair looking great, people comment all the time on how it looks, both the cut and the color. From time to time he has had other colorists and i defer to his wisdom to have them do my color under his supervision...but he is back doing my color again and as usual it looks the very best when he does it. His cuts are incredible, last a long time and are wash and wear or get fancy either one. Again, the complements are always coming. My hair is my crowning glory and Victor is the guardian of that glory as long has I can make the trip to where ever he is. Oh, the beautiful salon it a real pleasure as well, music, art and artist all in one. Pros: Great hair cuts and color Cons: LO is a bit far sometimes more

I have been to several salons over the years for my hair cuts but have now found one in Volero that I can really relate to. This is my kind of operation. I am so happy with the results of my visit that I am telling all my friends about it! Best recommendations for this hair salon. There is always something new at Volero, which keeps things fresh. I give my highest recomendation to those searching for a quality salon. Best hair cut in town 3/16/2009

I have been a client at Volero Hair Salon for about 4.5 years. I have difficult to style, baby-fine straight hair and was nervous to try a new stylist but anxious to get a decent hair cut. Wow! I got more than I expected! Victor (the owner) cut my hair that first time and has continued to do so. I have had compliments about the cut and style of my hair ever since that first cut! Victor has a knack for being able to give cuts and style hair for the person. He takes his time and talks to you and looks at you to determine not only what you want but as the artist, what he thinks will be good for you. I have never been disappointed! Victor has also colored my hair several times. His colors are innovative, agreeable to my skin tones, and they last a long time! Victor has had other colorists in his salon but their talents were not as refined nor as professional as Victor's. I trust Victor to color my hair! I highly recommend Volero Hair Salon to anyone who wants a terrific and personal hair cut and/or to anyone who wants to experience a great colorist. You will be greeted warmly by a professional staff and will find the salon inviting. Volero's artists are creative, caring, and the very best in Lake Oswego area. Excellent Hair Cut 3/15/2009

What I love about Victor's hair cut is that I can wash and blow-dry and look fabulous; what is even better is that the next morning I just get up, wash my face and go! That is correct, no fixing on the second and even sometimes the third day! Normally I don't announce my own lack of personal effort, but this is why I love Victor's hair-cuts. As an artist myself my method is to bring in a photo at each visit, even when my cut is the same from time to time. Victor seems to welcome my ways I assume because he is an artist himself. A picture is worth a thousand words! I enjoy uplifting conversation with Victor during my appointment as well as with Neptune who schedules at the front desk before and after. The salon itself is nicely decorated with creative touches everywhere. My experience at Voleros leaves me feeling relaxed and refreshed. I would recommend it to anyone, and bring a picture! Volero is a hair salon like no other in the very best sense of the word. At Valero you get a hair style that suits YOU! Victor is an ARTIST. He instinctively knows how to bring out the best in you; to accent your best features. I get endless compliments on my own hair cuts and styles. It's fun, flattering and fabulous! In addition, Victor is a very interesting person to chat with while undergoing your transformation. The shampoo is a guaranteed relaxer complete with music and a fabulous massage. Aaaahhh, bliss! Amazing haircuts and color in a relaxing and beautiful salon 2/19/2009

I first met Victor at my last place of employment, and he was forever asking me to get a haircut at Volero. I was currently happy with my stylist at the time, so I never went. Years later, I decided to make an appointment for a cut and color. Victor has always been a warm, kind person, and I immediately noticed he modeled his salon in the same fashion: You walk in, and it's like this amazing, beautiful sanctuary, with friendly people. The first haircut I received was perfect, but I found I had a hard time styling it. Victor made me come back and he cut it so I was able to style it easier. Trent had put this awesome CHERRY red streak in my hair that kept fading, due to the lack of protien in my hair. Trent was so kind, and even though I felt like a complete annoying pest, he told me I HAD to come back if it faded so he could figure something out. Either way, he said he would make the red stay. Months later, I went back for my second cut and color, and it's the best hair style I've had in a long time. From the sweet Neptune who sometimes works at the front and answers the phone, to the creative Victor who creates a style, and to the perceptive Trent who does incredible color... I didn't want bangs and Victor gave me bangs! 2/11/2009

My mom's friend has been going 2 victor for 3 yrs. I don't live in the area and Iusually go to another stylist in my town but I really needed a trim before my friends wedding so I saw victor for a trim. I only wanted a trim. Not a new style. I SPECIFICALLY told him I didn't want bangs; I spent the last year growing them out and they were FINALLY out of that horrible grow-out stage. I told him I only awanted the back and side layers cleaned up and that I didn't want anything off the front. Pros: Nothing at all. The BEST Salon Team in LO 1/16/2009

I met Victor about three years ago and foolishly waited longer than I should have to let him cut and color my hair. He was so confident he could give me a new look and I was hesitant, I'd never met anyone so sure of their styling abilities, so I was sure I would be disappointed. WRONG! Victor has done my hair for two years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I get asked all the time where I get my hair done. I let Victor do whatever he wants with my hair -- this from a woman who has always been very proprietary over how my hair is cut and colored. It's like hair is an art form for Victor. He's also a blast to spend time with! I have a great time at the salon, everyone is happy to be there. I can't tell you how many women I've watched walk out of the salon transformed -- a bright, happy smile, and sometimes you can tell how much a new look has given them a boost of confidence. Great experience and great hair 1/16/2009

I have been going to Volero Hair Salon for over 2 years now and I love every minute of the experience. Not only my haircuts are always trendy and show a hand of a true professional and an artist, but the atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and immediately puts me at ease. Victor is an innovator who constantly changes the way he does business to create a unique experience - don't be fooled though, it's not your uppity, uptight, artsy fartsy salon. It's more of a cool and relaxing place where you can count on smiles and great conversation. I don't like bringing my son with me, since this is one of the few times I can spend time away and do something for myself only, but the few times I had to he was not only welcome but engaged by everyone there, allowed to explore a little, and be a kid. I didn't have to stress out about anyone getting annoyed or impatient. I love it. What I really love about Victor himself is that he loves what he does, but he also loves where he does it - he's very involved in the community and willingly gives back. Love you, Victor. By the way, I don't know what Trent did to my color, but for 2 visits in a row now, I did not have to retouch it, seriously! Pros: Great atmosphere, always great haircuts Cons: Not cheap more

TRENT...amazing colorist!!! 1/12/2009

I live in the Seattle area since moving from Lake Oswego. I have spent 1 1/2 years up here and have not found anyone who can even come close to the work that Trent does on my hair. Both Trent and Victor have had to correct my hair from trying out new stylist up here in Seattle, and I have always left feeling beautiful. Trent is a professional and takes care of his customers. He listens to what you want and gives wonderful advice along the way. The 3 1/2 hour drive is worth it, and I will continue to see Trent. The atmosphere is fun, clean and bright. You can't find anything like it!! more

The best haircut ever! 10/21/2008

I had heard about Volero salon on Citysearch and decided to give them a shot. I made an appointment with Victor and left feeling very pleased. From the moment I walked into the salon to the time I left, I was treated very kindly by the staff at Volero. I could tell that Victor is very passionate about what he does and he was very attentive to my needs. From the shampoo to the styling, I was very comfortable and knew I was in good hands. Victor had some creative ideas and I left with the best haircut I have ever had. Once it grows back, I'll be coming back to Volero. Pros: Talented stylists, attentive to needs more

Victor styled me! 5/29/2008

For many years I have thought it was simply impossible to do something stylish with my hair. I recently booked an appointment with Victor and he turned that belief around! In the past I have always gone to barbershops, because I knew I would get the same old boring haircut. From the moment I walked into Voler, Victor took very good care of me. I was greeted kindly and seated in front of a mirror to view my ""before"" look. Next, I was given a thorough hair cleansing and conditioning, before returning to the salon chair. Victor carefully trimmed and snipped away my hair as I sat thinking it would look just like all of the cuts I have received in the past. When Victor was done, he added some product to my hair I have been pleasantly surprised since. Even friends and family have commented on my new haircut. Thanks for making me believe in my hair again!
