Prices Were Reasonable 1/11/2011

I went in here looking for a particular kind of power cord that I was having trouble finding elsewhere, and they happened to have it, so I was really happy, and I don't think the price was unreasonable. more

These guys were great ! I've bought three different computer systems from them over the years and they've always been helpful. I travel all the way from SF just to buy from them. In fact, I'm going back again this week to get a new laptop. more

Fairly Priced 12/30/2010

Prices seemed fair. The charger was $59 for my son's HP. My charger for my Dell recently died and Dell charged us $150!! more

This place is great! I've gotten much-needed odd's and end's for my computer (like: a wireless card, an a/c cord for half of my battery charger). All at good prices too, I don't know why every else's reviews are so bad! more

The Used Computer Store is great. I've bought RAM, a 24" monitor, keyboards, etc. It's probably where I'll go to buy my next laptop once my Macbook core duo is obsolete. I've also sold them surplus monitors and keyboards. more

I spoke to Bill and he was extremely helpful and stood behind their generic brand for batteries. He assured me no one has ever come back with a problem with the product but promised a 6-month warranty. He also gave me lots of unsolicited advice about how to keep my G4 happy 'til its very last day. more

I didn't have to worry 11/29/2010

I had a great experience here. The screen on my expensive laptop cracked, and the tech guys at work told me it would cost $700 or more to fix it. After spending far too much time trying to decide how to replace the laptop, it occurred to me to ask Bill how much it would cost for him to fix it. He did the job for half the price. I got a great repair. Best of all, Bill called me when the replacement screen came in, I brought the laptop down and I was able to pick it up the same day, so I didn't have to worry about not having it available. more

Extremely helpgful 11/4/2010

I had a great experience. I've been lagging on getting a replacement battery for my 4 year-old G4 and after too much searching online for "the best deal" and not even knowing the batteries were a reputable brand or even reputable for generic, I decided to walk in to these guys. I spoke to Bill and he was extremely helpful and stood behind their generic brand for batteries. He assured me no one has ever come back with a problem with the product but promised a 6-month warranty. He also gave me lots of unsolicited advice about how to keep my G4 happy 'til its very last day. Which in this economy, you bet your bottom's dolla that's what I'm gonna do. more

The only place 9/27/2010

I'm an engineer, and I often need to get some obscure part of a computer. This is the only place in Berkeley that will root through their old parts for me. They found an Intel IWI4965 wireless chip for me, which is almost impossible to find as it was sold as part of a set of Gateway motherboards. They gave it to me for $15. more

While my mom was visiting me for a week from FL, she went to this store and they spent probably 2-3 hours with her teaching her how to use her computer! Which is incredible! Thank you, thank you, nice people who work there! more
