I used to study here while in Law School. great crowd, good food, love the outside patio!

Worst

Had our 2.5 year old who is great at restaurants, tried to order from the Kid's Menu a Turkey Panini, but asked them not to ""panini"" it because our daughter isn't really into me...

first time i went here was on a saturday night w/ my friend... around 11pm. We had our car valet (i think $3-5) and i ordered a brownie and mocha coffee and my friend had a coffee as well. there were a few seats available out front and they brang our food to our table. But before, when i was inside, the service was very cooperative. A great experience here!!! Pros: Service, Food, Valet Cons: seating more

Poor Service 8/26/2005

As a caveat, this applies to the Beverly Drive location. This restaurant is extraordinarily overpriced, though for what it is, the food is servicable. The service, however, is exceptionally poor, bordering on offensive. Someone who I assume was our ""server"" came to our table simply to reprimand my dining companion for bring an outside beverage, though we had clearly ordered their $4.50 a piece lemonade and iced tea separately (apparently no refills). This insult was the only service we received thoughout our meals. Not worth it for the off chance to see Ashton Kutcher. Pros: ooooh look, it's Tara Reid Cons: price, service more

One of the best breakfast/lunch places out there 4/17/2005

We visited the Urth Caffe twice last week - it's the best breakfast spot in West Hollywood. The food is fresh, delicious, and very healthy. They have great coffee. We also bought Lychee tea and Manhattan Mud coffee from their shop, both are amazing. It sometimes gets very busy, but it's worth to wait. Pros: Excellent Value, Great food, Great coffee more

The staffs there are impolite and unhelpful when the place gets busy..Don't expect any service there. I saw a fruit tart with a price tag of $1.5, but it turned out to be $4 when I paid it at the cashier...I asked the staff about that and they just said they don't know and saying that it's $4 without any explanation..Don't ruin your lovely weekend there.. The food here is wonderful, but it's always crowded. If you are in a hurry, definitely call ahead or get your your food to go. Seating is available on a first-come first-served basis and there isn't tons of it, so be prepared to wait for a table (there is a certain art to staking out who looks like they will be finished eating first). However, if you are lucky you can nab a seat on the patio. Great sandwiches and salads - my friend said his beans were "the best he has ever had." Make sure you leave room for dessert - their cakes and pastries are amazing! Pros: Food, Dessert Cons: Crowded, Limited parking more

OUT OF THIS URTH 2/22/2005

This is the spot to be. The food is great, the atmosphere is relaxed and I feel like I'm at home everytime I come. "THE BEST" Tortilla Soup, "THE BEST" Lentil Soup and "THE BEST" Pumpkin Pie around. No doubt about it. The coffee and tea is the freshest brewed in town. For a reasonable priced meal, friendly and assertive staff, and great people watching, URTH is my planet. more
