Untangled Salon

I have seen Ashley twice now. Each time I have come in wanting something completely different than what I had at the time. On my first visit, she took my hair from a very unattractive light orange to beautiful platinum blonde. She finished it by giving me a fantastic cut using her own judgment and my guidelines. At my second appointment today, she took my hair from platinum blonde to a light/medium brown with vibrant blue tips. Again, her cut was exactly what I wanted under my suggestions and her experience. Because they did not have their preferred blue coloring product (Urban Shock, I believe), they are having me return when they get it in to have my blue tips redone (at no extra charge). I like this salon for both their fun atmosphere and professional demeanor. The salon itself is clean, nice and has a wonderful selection of jewelry and haircare products (which they do not at all try to force on you). I also enjoy how the stylists and owner are not afraid to consult each other with questions or ideas about coloring, cuts, and the like. It shows incredible mutual respect. The price is right if you are looking for a high-quality salon with reasonable pricing. I asked the sassy and talented owner to quote me prices on extensions, which she did without hesitation (and without pushing me to buy them). I am bringing my boyfriend in tomorrow to see Ashley. more

Keratin Protein Treatment: My daughter is bi-racial and has very curly, very long hair. I am very picky about who even touches her hair. We have had the keratin treatment done to her hair before at Ulta in Atlanta, and the treatment there does not even compare to the one they did at Untangled. They double teamed her hair and still spent a lot of time on it. Her hair looked AMAZING! It is well worth the money. We will definitely return to get it done again. They were great about explaining the process and the after care. I would HIGHLY recommend this salon doing the keratin treatment as it worked great for my daughter. Relatives who have seen the hair now also commented on the noticeable difference. They have before and after photos at the salon too. I was very pleased. Even though the process took several hours, the staff was considerate and patient with my daughter. more

Great job every time. Very friendly atmosphere. Affordable way to stay up with the changing trends. Ask for Laurie she is a Master at coloring and highlighting. Even my boss complimented my hair the last time she did it and the boss is a he. more

After reading some of these reviews i'm really surprised, as they sound like reviews of friend of previously employees. I have been to MANY salons and have never had the wonderful experience i have had going to Untangled. From my very FIRST visit i was amazed at how wonderful and how friendly everyone was. Lori took the time to go through my hair listen to what i wanted, give her expertise opinon and took the time to make my hair perfect. I have not gone anywhere else since then. I work late and everytime I have been there I have seen Lori and her staff work extra evening hours until thier clients hair was finished perfect and the client was happy i have even seen Lori open on a Sunday to accomodate her clients schedule. All of this at no extra charge. As well they provide every possible salon service imaginable for a great price. I have always felt like the staff at Untangled takes pride in thier work and has treated me and other clients like family. I recommend them to everyone I kno more

The atmosphere of the salon as soon as you walk in is without a doubt one of the best. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. I am one of those picky NYers that my hair must look good at all times. It also grows very fast so i need a style that will last. I have gone to MANY other salons until i found Untangled. Lori took the time to hear what i wanted and has the knowledge to know what would look good and how to make it last. Lori and her team also take the time to do your hair right and perfect whether it takes 30 minutes or 3 hours they will take the time to make you look great. They treat you and make you feel like you are the only customer that matters to them and treat everyone like family. and ALWAYS do an EXCELLENT job more

I absolutely love it when I need a touch-up because I get to go in and see these girls! I'm walking proof of how talented they are. I've had extensions for almost 4 years and some family members still don't know I have them. I would recommend Untangled to anyone and everyone! Even though she is no longer with Untangled, I will follow her whereever she goes. I dont trust my facial needs to just anyone. Amber is AMAZING!!! I went in last week to get a hair "makeover". I had really long hair, and brought a picture of a bob hairstyle that I really liked with me. Amber took the time to talk with me, show me color swatches, and even went over how many blonde to brown highlights I wanted. The rest of the staff was very kind, and they worked together like a team. Amber was so thorough, and told me what she was doing every step of the way. My hair looks wonderful, and I have had so many complements!! Thanks Amber!! :) Cons: NONE!! more

I went to Untangled Salon for the first time last week and saw Cheri. I felt extremely comfortable and felt like she listened to every detail! Even though i just went in for a haircut i left with an amazing cut and an awesome color! i recommend you go see her asap! Pros: great stylist great hair! more
