This place used to be a great place to take your pet. Unfortunately it has went down hill over the past few years. Now they are more concerned with making a buck and growing their empire. I have personally spent $20k there over the last 15 years. I showed up one morning with a very sick dog and was told there was nothing they could do for me, we were obviously upset. They didn't bother to offer any assistance or recommendations. I have since switched vets and will never go back to Union lake vet. which is too bad because there are a couple of Doctors there we really liked. They even sent me a letter saying I should find another vet because I was rude to the people that didn't bother to lift a finger to help my dog. This is after 15yrs and $20k. They just don't care! more

We have taken our animals to Union Lake Veterinary Hospital for over 8 years and they keep our animals healthy and educate us as to what we can do to better our pets health and their lives. They mean so much to us we want to give them the best! more

Teeth 7/18/2014

I really appreciate the Staff at Union Lake Vet. They are super friendly. I did however want to check around for pricing. My dog had two dental procedures in less than 5 months. I feel like the 2 procedures could have been done at one time and would have likely saved me $1,000. Having to do this at two separate times, I was charged for the bloodwork, anesthesia, and many other items twice. I do understand that my breed of dog is prone to gum disease, but this has definitely been hard on my wallet. They did however work with me by discounting the cleaning and throwing in free therapy for his gums. more

VERY MISLEADING!! I called for DAYCARE, said my MINPIN would be outside w/ smaller dogs, etc. I took him in for a couple hrs. to see how he would like it, before a FULL day.. as I was filling out forms, they took him back to ""PLAY""... when I was finished, I asked to ""VIEW"" the area, and see how he was adapting before I leave him. OMG... I went back to find they had IMMEDIATLY put him in a SMALL wired cage where he couldn't even move!! W/ a dish of water that spilled all under him! (this all happened with in 10 min. being there) All dogs were caged!! Not ""1"" was out playing, INSIDE or OUTSIDE!!! I said ""OPEN THE DOOR.. HE IS NOT STAYING HERE""!!! I was so UPSET!! As was he. My Baby has NEVER been in a cage in his life. They told me they were taking him back to meet the other dogs, and to play. He LOOKED LIKE I JUST ORPHANED HIM!!! If I had left him... who knows how he would had been treated, neglected!!!! Never going BACK!!! ALWAYS,ALWAYS CHECK, WALK THRU THE FACILITY BEFORE... LEAVING YOUR BABIES!! ( PERIODICALLY as well, for long x Day Care !!! ) Always pay att. to your PET, If they are un-comfortable, not excited to go, SOMETHING IS WRONG!! They are trying to tell you SOMETHING!! more

I brought my kitten to Union Lake Veterinary because it was moaning and pressing its belly to the ground, and appeared to be in pain - from what I could tell. They told me that she ""probably"" had a urinary tract infection and gave her an antibiotic shot and sent me home with 3 days of liquid narcotics, and charged me $150 for the visit. A few weeks later, the same behavior starts up again, so I started reading up on it. Apparently, the kitten is in heat. When I called the vets office to let them know, they stated that being in heat and a urinary tract infection can appear to be the same thing?? and that a spay costs $300??? Also, sorry, no compensation for the misdiagnosis - we don't feel that we misdiagnosed based on what you told us! I guess if you want some prescription narcotics, just bring in a kitten in heat BECAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE! I will never go there again. I strongly urge you to read other reviews. I have read some pretty disturbing things about this vets office. more

I have been a loyal customer for many 2/11/2012

I have been a loyal customer for many years now! ULVS has taken care of my dog, 2 ferrets, and 4 cats their whole lives. I trust them and will always use them. They saved my dog's life once and calmed me down during the whole experience. They are caring and one can tell they love their job as soon as you enter the building. What a GREAT Pet Place! 10/15/2011

I have recently relocated to the Waterford area and my dog, Stella, needed her annual exam. My next door neighbor took her pets to this place for years and told me that I should go there too. I been to several vets over the past few years but I have never been to as clean and nice as this one! Although they are currently remodeling the reception area and things were pretty hectic when Stella and I arrived, I found the staff was so nice and courteous to us that I felt quite at ease there and so did Stella! The Doctor (Reynolds) was quite thorough and explained everything to me before examining Stella. She took a lot of time with us and I felt assured that she hadn't missed a thing. The price I paid was similar to the other vets but the quality was far superior. I would reccomend this place to anyone who cares alot about their pet. I am going back in a few weeks to get Stella groomed at their grooming service accross the parking lot. more
