I have taken droves of people to Uncle Bub's, and no one has ever expressed anything but delighted amazement at the quality of food and the level of hospitality. You will be made welcome, and you will not go away hungry. I have grazed from pit barbecue to pit barbecue all over the country, and only a few places in the Deep South can top Bub's in a few categories: for example, I've had beans in Jackson, MississippiI, that I liked better than Bub's, but that was 30 years ago, and we're not IN Mississippi! After you've tried the brisket, ribs, and pulled pork, don't overlook the broasted chicken, and the last Wed. of every month there's a corned beef & cabbage dinner that my husband never misses. In my opinion, Foodsmoker was smokin' more than food when he criticized Uncle Bub's. We never miss a chance to eat there, and our adult children make a point of eating there whenever they get back to the area. To top it all off, the owner is the kindest person alive, and his managers will practically shine your shoes. Such a pleasant place!
