24k GOLD facial!! 3/17/2012

OH MAN i just had one of the best facials ever! ive been hearing about gold facials through my friends who have had them here at True salon and it was amazing! It has 24karat gold in it and is a mask that hydrates the skin. When i was finished my skin had this natural glow to it. I would most def. recommend this to anyone! I will be back =) more

Truly NOT the spa to go to 12/21/2011

I thought that walk-ins would be welcome especially when there was no one waiting. Not there. You have to make an apointment. Three people there and you cant cut my hair. Why would I want to make an apointment with anyone as rude as you are. more

There are other fish in the salon sea... 12/21/2011

Warning: If you are a few minutes late for an appointment (I was 5 min. late due to being stuck behind a slow bus), be prepared to be told to reschedule and to be treated with an attitude. I was - I repeat 'was' - a regular client there. But not after being treated so rudely. I guess they think that they are irreplaceable as a salon despite the fact that they are surrounded by probably 10 other salons in a 1/4 mile radius. more

Been going to Whitney (the owner) for many years now and I am always so pleased with how my hair turns out. Before Whitney I had been to many salons in elk grove and could never find a stylist that gave me great results. But i ALWAYS leave true salon and spa a happy girl! more

True salon is TRUEly amazing 10/24/2011

I am TRUEly happy i found True Salon and spa. Its a upbeat salon in old elk grove filled with friendly hairstylist and wonderful estheticians. The salon is very organized, neat, and clean. I was offered refreshments as soon as i walked in and was given a tour of the whole salon to see what it offered and got to meet a few of the chemical specialists as well as the manicurist and massage therapist.. This salon offers so much for everyone.. If your looking for a day to get away and relax i would recomment this place 100% more

Owner's Customer Service skills lack professionalism 10/3/2011

Whitney has been doing my hair for about 6 months, while she is a talented young stylist, I am afraid she has real bad days and almost dislikes her customers on those days. She not only did NOT return my greeting and inquiry as to her well being, she snapped at me for the choices I was making in regard to my OWN hair, and then to top it off, she informed me that I was coming in too soon, as it had only been four weeks! Surely, she could have gotten her points across while not spoiling my salon experience. Being a business woman myself, no matter how talented you may be, WITHOUT customer service your success will be short lived. After truly not enjoying my morning off at the salon, I will not be returning, nor will I refer my many friends to her salon (which are all professional local women), the owners are real sour puss' in my opinion! not worth the experience at all as there are many fine stylists out there with personality to boot! more

Do Not Go Here 9/29/2011

When i called I explained exactly what I wanted and ask for someone that could do that. I got there and told the Lady again what i wanted,showed her a picture and told her do not allow it to be flat on my head. She did not cut it like the picture,did not listen to me and used a flat iron so that it laid flat on my head. I start a new job Monday and my hair is horrible. I told her I hated it and she told me to go home and restyle it. REALLY thought that is what I paid you for. I will never go here again and will tell all my friends and family to stay away! more

Best Hair cut ! 6/29/2011

At the beginning of this year I wanted to have my hair cut but my normal person was not able to fit me into her schedule. So after looking online I found True Salon and Spa at first I was not sure how it would go because I had never been to that nice of a place but I was welcomed by a very nice person and then was helped by Kayla. I wear bangs and I have never let anyone cut them but after talking to Kayla and seeing that she had bangs I had no problem let her cut and style them . I now have found a place that can always help me and I very happy with the way my hair looks. I can?t wait until the next time. more

Great Hair Cut 5/3/2011

I love going to the True Salon in Elk Grove. Sharon has been doing my hair for several years now. Its relaxing to go there especially since I don't have to worry about my hair getting ruined. I am growing my hair out after several years of a very short style and the transition is going smoothly. Sharon is so careful to listen to what I want and also able to suggest ways to make the change go smoothly. So many people want to know who is doing my hair and its nice to be able to say its Sharon. more
