True Salon and Spa

So, I would have to say that I am rather picky when it comes to my brows, I like them just right. Many times I have had them way to thin and I looked surprised, but the esthetician there made sure I got exactly what I wanted and ensured I was satified with my brows before leaving. I am definantly going back, I love my eyebrows! more

I was excited to see this new salon in town so went in for a hair cut and color. BIG MISTAKE! The owner there an older lady who I assume to be Sharon since the girls at All About You said she opened this new one, is ridiculous. She seems very tired and stressed out and takes that attitude out on her clients. If only I had known it was her who opened the salon, I would not have set foot in there. She is very rude and doesn't make you feel pampered at all. It is okay inside but the two young girls that were there while I was checking out were sitting there chit chatting and gossiping the whole time. TIme to be professional! I really hope that all these good reviews do not trick people and the only reason why there are so many reviews is because they hand you these cards telling you to review them so here it is! I find it a little odd that they have 24 reviews already and they are brand new when not even one other business has even 1/4 of that many. It seems to me they are trying to oversell themselves and writing most of these themselves. Don't be fooled, there are plenty of other nice salons in Elk Grove with friendly and qualified staff! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! more

I have been going to Sharon since I was in high school (the 80's!). I currently live in Modesto, but when I come to town I make my hair appts with her. Her new salon is lovely and located in Old Town. Sharon as always does a great job! more

I walked in to True on Saturday and they fit me in no problem! Not only were they able to accomidate my walk in but they greeted me with refreshments, had fun, music, and the my stylist Christy really knew what she was doing. I have never felt to comfortable letting someone work with my hair! I would definatley reccomend this salon to any of my friends! Pros: fun and welcoming atmosphere more

I only let Sharon do my hair, She knows just what to do with my curly hair! My sister goes to Whitney and loves her! The colors of the place are soothing. Its nice to get away for a while. Its not far from home, in old town Elk Grove, one of the up swings is there is plenty of parking and its not hard to find. Sharon and her staff are always friendly and listen to what you want. If you are uncertain they have all kinds of ideas to help. I love the color Sharon has come up for my hair. I am never disappointed! Pros: Soothing place, Friendly, Perfect hair everytime I go! The name says it - TRUE, and that is exactly what it is! This spa is in the old fire house in Old Town Elk Grove. It is beautiful and modern. The ambiance is perfect. Tranquil music, aesthetically pleasing, and so so friendly. The space is huge and the windows opening to the street are just lovely. My experience was perfect. Cut and color are amazing and the the mother daughter duo of Sharon and Whitney is great. They are funny and nice and accommodating. I cant wait to get into one of the massage rooms that look so inviting. I haven't yet found a place of this caliber in Elk Grove. I am so pleased. True Salon is beautiful and brand spankin new. Modern, airy, lots of light-the whole front is windows...very cool. Sharon is extremely professional and super friendly and she listens and helps when I don't know what I want! She's very accomodating and willing to work with me when I need anything. Great cut and color. And....on another note.....Tamara gives the best deep tissue massages! more

Whitney is an amazing stylist- she never disappoints. I was referred to her by a friend over a year ago when I lived in Elk Grove, and now that I have moved to the Bay Area, I still make the hour plus drive for her to do my hair. Wouldn't trust another soul with these locks now that she's been working with me! I recommend her to all of my friends and she has never disappointed. If you're looking for a great salon with even ""greater"" stylists--- True Salon and Spa is the way to go--- ask for Whitney- you won't be disappointed! I have been going to Whitney for almost 3 years now and I would never switch to anyone else if I have anything to do with it. She knows exactly the coloring and cut someone her age would want so it works out perfect for me! She understands what I mean when I say I want my hair Blonde...not yellow...BLONDE!! :) Even though she is so busy she always finds a way to accomodate my busy schedule as well. I refer her to anyone and everyone I know who asks about my hair. I get compliments very often and I don't hesitate to pass out her number to anyone who is interested. The new salon is beautiful with a contemporary feel. They serve champage and always have the newest gossip magazines to read :) Definitely a thumbs up for True Salon and Spa.
