Very disappointed in my last visit to this restaurant. I will never return and suggest that future clients take their business to other restaurants in Little Italy. The food is overrated .. and the service that we encountered was a 3 out of 10 at best ... the lady behind the bar has some serious issues and needs medication after I saw how she deals with paying customers. Bad for business. more

My husband and I went to Trattoria for lunch on the recommendation from another local business. We were so impressed after our visit that we sought out information on using them as the site for our rehearsal dinner for our wedding. The staff was kind and helpful in booking our event, and the menu options were awesome! We were very pleased at how well our rehearsal dinner went at Trattoria. The room was perfect for such an event, and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was just as good as we had experienced in the dining room, and our guests were also impressed! We highly recommend this restaurant for dining and/or event service. more

great authentic food, best italian in town. 10/30/2008

This place is consistently awesome. It is not the ritziest place in the world, but that's the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars. My family I have been going for years. I've tried all the restaurants in little italy and this one has no competition. You see the same staff there year after year. That's proof they are good fair people and their product is awesome. See the line out the door on the weekend. The prices are mild, between $8 - $15 an entree. The gnocchi is unbelievable, Rachel Ray said the eggplant parmesan is better than most in Rome. Check out some of their recipes in her cookbook; as she did a show live from Trattoria. I would recommend this place to anyone. However, if you go during the feast, don't expect the same food. They have a totally different skeleton menu. I guess you have to when 30,000 people visit in one weekend. Pros: always provide parking, great food Cons: can be busy, make a reservation more

This past weekend I took my wife and in-laws (from la Sicilia) to Trattoria. I've been to this place four or five times in the past two years, and the food has always been excellent. However, I am highly disappointed with my last visit. Whereas the place was clean and the service was up to its usual high standards, the food was a low-grade knock-off of real Italian cuisine. I ordered the veal cutlet, which comes with a side of pasta. The cutlet came to my table cold and floating on a sea of grease -- more like a deep-fried hockey puck than an edible entree; the pasta was quite undercooked, and the sauce tasted of a tin can... acidic, metallic, and unseasoned. Pros: Fast, friendly service. Cons: A mere approximation of Italian Food. more

Love this place!!! 7/19/2004

We truly love this place. We had our first date here, got engaged here, had children's graduation dinners, rehersals dinners, anniversary dinners, etc. here and every event was just right...It just feels like eating with family. Excellent food, reasonable prices and all around interesting place to dine. They go out of their way to make your experience nice. Can't say enough good things about Trattoria and staff. Thanks for years of memories!!! Pros: Inexpensive, Valet parking, Friendly more

Got to go there 9/9/2002

The most delicious food in town, the best prices in town, wonderful service and great ambience. Go and enjoy the accordian player on the weekends. Make sure u stop at the bar first and try one of the great Italian Margaritas. By far the best place in Little Italy. Make sure u try the Eggplant Parm and save some room for the Tiramisu. more
