This past weekend I took my wife and in-laws (from la Sicilia) to Trattoria. I've been to this place four or five times in the past two years, and the food has always been excellent. However, I am highly disappointed with my last visit. Whereas the place was clean and the service was up to its usual high standards, the food was a low-grade knock-off of real Italian cuisine. I ordered the veal cutlet, which comes with a side of pasta. The cutlet came to my table cold and floating on a sea of grease -- more like a deep-fried hockey puck than an edible entree; the pasta was quite undercooked, and the sauce tasted of a tin can... acidic, metallic, and unseasoned.
Pros: Fast, friendly service.
Cons: A mere approximation of Italian Food.
