Transformation Salon

I decided on transformations based on some reviews posted here and the fact it is a Paul Mitchell Salon. I went in to have a cut and color. I told stylist what I did not want ( fake red or too dark more like caramel) My hair was Med brown which I wanted to add some dimension to color. After a lot of professional lingo between owner and stylist and 5 hours later I had a gold halo and and fakey red and black hair. I told her right after she dried it that it was not what I wanted she added something to top of my head and it still was too gold. Owner rescheduled me and I went back in a few days later and explained what I wanted again. Once again lots of discussion three hours later I have BLACK hair and paid way too much money ($165 for botched hair. If you want professional this is not the place to go. more

I've been going to Transformation Salon (a Paul Mitchell Focus Salon) and Grace Watson for all of my hair care and styling needs for about 8 years now, and wouldn't think of going anywhere else for these services. I no longer reside in Austin, but drive in from Fort Worth every 6 to 8 weeks for hair appointments because I am so pleased with everything from the color, to the shampoo, cut, and style. Everyone who works at the salon is so friendly and the customer service is superb. Grace and her staff are constantly working to learn new styles, cuts, and colors. Grace always does a fabulous job with my color and cut... I get tons of compliments! She knows hair, and she takes the time to get to know her clientele. Grace is amazingly creative. I can be a difficult customer and she is always understanding and patient with me. My husband and I positively love getting our hair washed there. All the stylists are trained to give head massages. Not only do I love Grace's talent but I also think she is an angel. She has provided me with so much support-during breast cancer, back surgery, and the adoption of my daughter. I frequently have strangers comment that they like my hair. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else to get my hair done! I have really long wild curly hair and most stylist\r are scared of my hair...not Grace. She knows how to cut and style it to bring out the best in it. People actually come up to me on the street to discuss my hair! She is an amazing colorist and I wouldn't trust my hair to anyone else! How often do you hear...You have the best hair? I get that all the time now since Grace, owner and master stylist, has been cutting and coloring my hair. I usually change stylist about once a year because you feel they just do not care anymore. I am over the 2 year mark with Grace. Not only is she a Paul Mitchell Salon but she has over 25 years experience. Her salon is fun, inviting and friendly. I end up spending entirely too much time there :) Grace spent over 30 minutes with my hair before she ever made the first cut. She is just very good at what she does. Pros: Simply does the best hair!
