A friend recommended I take my '99 Toyota truck here after I got a repair quote from Springfield Toyota which literally took my breath away. First they told me I didn't need half the work the dealership told me I did and then they fixed the problem for a fraction of the cost. I saved literally hundreds of dollars, my truck is running fine again and you can't really ask for more than that. This place looks like an old garage you'd find on a back road, run by a couple of good ol' boys, and that's basically what it is. These guys, however, know Toyotas as well as they do Chevys and they won't do you wrong. I'm going to keep coming back. more

Go here if you want good service, a fair price, and you don't want to be taken for a ride. I've had my Lexus serviced here for the past few years and haven't had a bad experience yet. The work has always been done well, I've never had to take it back. Also, when they've found problems they've been honest in telling me what I had to get fixed now and what could wait (as opposed to service shops that will swear if you didn't get every last thing done that minute your car was in mortal danger of falling apart) and I've seen them do this with other customers. The staff also is just plain nice. Works for me. more

This is the best service station in the D.C. metro area. Best prices, best service and the most honest. I was told by another place my car would cost over $1000 to fix. Tony's fixed it for under $200. They are the best. Highly recommended. more

Tony is a rare breed. Honest, trustworthy and knows more about all types of cars than anyone I have ever encountered. My wife took our VW Passat in after receiving the news from my dealer that we needed front and rear brakes and a new CV Joint. The price they quoted was unreal and the car only had 40k on it. Tony not only pointed out that I only needed rear breaks but also said the V Boot was fine and even got it inspected!! Unlike the dealer they choose the honest approach above the ""make money anyway you can approach"". These guys take care of you like you would your own family...They have a customer for life. more

Honest and reliable: I started going to Tony's a couple years ago - since then, my 8 year old car never gives me problems. They work quickly, they are honest, they don't talk down to you, and are a community establishment. Their prices are fair and if they can't do it, they will find someone who will. I felt compelled to write about my recent experience at Tony's Auto. I brought my car in for, front brake repair, passenger side tie rod replacement and a steering alignment. The car was ready the same day and the price for all repairs was fair. I quickly realized however that the brakes were making a squeaking noise and the steering wheel was slightly out of alignment. I also experienced a major concern when my engine starting making extremely loud horrible engine combustion noises. I had the car towed back to Tony's that same week. I called to explain my problems and the next day the car was ready. It was determined that the engine noise was due to a loose spark plug.(nothing that Tony had worked on) The brake noise was fixed, the steering alignment corrected, and the spark plug issue repaired, all for only the cost of an oil change, which I had requested. The car now runs and feels as great as ever . What could have been an expensive and troubling experience turned out to have a happy ending. I believe that I was treated fairly and that they did the right thing. Thanks Tony. more

These guys do a lot of work: hired cars, airport shuttles, buses, Bentleys and guys like me who live nearby. I go there because I can drop the car off and walk home but I have never gotten anything fishy from them. They have even refused to do work when I had a symptom that wasn't worth worrying about. They have taken care of my Saturn for years and gave a thumbs-up to the used Acura I just bought, saying it should provide me years of inexpensive driving. more

This is just a wonderful garage. Honest and low cost. and they know what they are doing! I have been a fleet manager and for many years I went only to the dealers for our Acuras and Infiniti. When the length of the trip and the cost of the service was finally too high, we tried local garages were OK, but as expensive as the dealers and who really weren't very good. So Tony's: they can't find a problem they don't charge! When I found electrical parts on the internet ,$800 retail, $50 used, they installed them -no guarantee of course. Highly recommended more

I've been taking my family cars to Tony's for nearly 30 years. I know cars, and enough auto mechanics to know that they have treated me honestly all that time. They are not the cheapest, but charge a lot less than the dealer and they don't pad their bills with unnecessary work like dealers do. In the long run their reliable and honest work has saved me lots of dough. And I hold onto my cars for 200,000+ miles because Tony's keeps them running so well that there's no point in laying out the big bucks for a new one. Monica T sounds like a jealous competitor's fake criticism - - Tony's people are real and not slick smiley types. As for Theresa F., I don't trust the dealer's word over Tony's. I have 2 of Tony's rebuilt transmissions that have lasted as many miles as the first one. over nearly 30 years, there have been numerous times when Tony's could have charged me a whole lot more based on the car's symptoms, but they were honest and didn't take easy opportunities to pad the bill. In all my experience with them, I think there has been maybe 1 error they made. Besides the fact that I didn't know for sure it was an error, they've been so excellent so often for so long that it would have been stupid to complain. If they aren't perfect mechanics, they're as close as you'll get in this world. more
