I went to Tonya Jones after losing patience with the place I had been going for over 3 years. It was taking 2 hours each trip just for a haircut because they were always behind! At Tonya Jones I got fabulous highlights AND a haircut in 1 1/2 hours, and am very happy with both. I will definitely go back, and Hayley was great. more

Tonya, I had a great visit with your salon on yesterday. Today is my birthday so I wanted to pamper myself with a new cut and color. I hadn't visited in about a year as I have moved to Montgomery, Al. Upon coming back to your salon, I found that my previous Stylist was no longer employed with you. I was really concerned because it is hard to find a Stylist you can trust. "J" did my hair for the 1st time on yesterday. I called her my 'Hair Diva' ,and advised I'm trusting her to do a great job. She did just that!!! Very satisfied with the new me. Just tell "J" not to leave there because she now has a new customer and I have a new Stylist. God bless. Wendy Allen more

I received a haircut from Hayley and she did a wonderful job. I usual use Tonya but needed the appointment right away. Hayley did my hair once before on the Earth day so I chose her again. Very nice and listened to what I wanted. more

Wonderful experience 6/18/2011

This was my first visit to the salon and it was a very pleasant experience from the moment I stepped in the door. They greet you and offer you water, tea or coffee. They have Aveda products and a lovely lady to help you with anything you might need. There is no pressure to buy. My hair never looked better and Tonya asked my opinion about what style I wanted and she made very helpful suggestions to help me make my decision. I am looking forward to going for my next appointment. Mary more

Best salon in Birmingham 6/18/2011

This is the best salon in Birmingham. The atmosphere is relaxed, yet professional and the staff is always friendly and helpful. My hair always looks great and just as I want it when I leave. After trying several salons in the area, I have been happy to find a place where they recognize me when I come in the front door, and I'm able to get consistently excellent haircuts, not "hit and miss" like other supposedly upscale salons in town. I am also impressed with the product recommendations made by the professionals at Tonya Jones. They let me know what will work best for me, and never just try to sell me something. Whether I am going in for a haircut or just stopping by to grab some product, I always have a wonderful experience. more

I felt cheated and mislead 6/16/2011

I was very upset at my $ 600 bill when I was expecting to pay $300. I do not like confrontation so it was hard to argue with the staff. I think stylist did a good job but I was mislead in how long I was to be without exercising. I lead a very active lifestyle and had just dropped my seven and nine year old off at camp. I was looking forward to fitness without worries and now I have a 600 dollar hairstyle I can't mess up and get sweaty for 72 hours. I am a "little" disappointed with the service and felt mislead on the price. I even went to one of the beginning stylists. When I called they gave me the run around and told me I was given a discount. But when I called 2 other salons they said my price should have been 350 ..$450 tops for med/long hair. But tonya jones insisted that shoulder length hair is considered long hair. I'm no hair expert but I feel swindled. Needless to say I won't be back. more
