Worst work enviornment for assistants! 9/22/2011

I really feel sorry for the employees at this establishment; especially the assistants to Tonya (OWNER). It is not very often that you are able to find decent people that you trust and enjoy learning from. Tonya should be absolutely ashamed of her behavior toward her assistants. What a miserable place for them to work and learn! I can't begin to express how below low you can get in dealing with these poor individuals that she is willing to go. They deserve a reasonable work enviornment at the very very least. Unfortunately Tonya is unable to provide that to them. She is so blinded by money that she has lost all respect for the very ones that are making money for her. She better step back and swallow a large dose of reality! If everyone knew the truth they would never visit this salon!!!!!!! The best of luck to her poor employees! Still looking for a decent work enviornment ? Think twice! more

Another reason to LOVE Birmingham! 9/20/2011

I had my first visit at Tonya Jones SalonSpa for a hair cut with Devon. I must say Devon is off the charts! I am throughly enjoying my haircut/style and look forward to my next appt where not only I will receive another hair cut but hilights as well. The staff made me feel welcome and relaxed which is all Aveda style! :) I would definietly recommend Tonya Jones SalonSpa and highly recommend Devon! more

Starting Monday off right 9/20/2011

I can't think of a better way to begin a work week than having my hair washed and head massaged at 7:30AM!! Thank you for the great conversation and ridding my head of the weekend "cobwebs"! Tonya, love the new hair cut! Thanks for shaping and cutting my hair, much easier to manage! Love the new shampoo too so again, thanks for getting my week off to a great start! more

Growing gray gracefully 9/9/2011

I am trying to gray with class. I do not want to cover it all up but allow me to grow into it in a way that keeps me looking young. When I leave the salon after a little touch up here and there I feel beautiful and proud to show off my gray hair. more

hair cut on Friday September 2nd. 9/3/2011

Stephanie cut and blow dried my hair and it is fantastic. She did a great job, and my hair is not so easy to manage as it is very fine, flyaway and frizzy. I am thrilled with Stephanie's achievements, she should go far. As her grandmother I know her as a very special and now very talented young lady. more

To say the least Tonya Jones Salon is THE best salon in Birmingham by FAR! Wonderful staff that makes you feel at home and comfortable with the utmost respect as a client. Sumetri never ceases to amaze me with her talent and passion she has shown me since I've been a client of hers and Angela is a brow GURU! If you have any doubts, DON'T this is THE place to be! more

The perfect hair cut 9/1/2011

My hair is thin on top so I was looking for a hair style that would be "sassy", easy to care for with finger combing and to mask the thinness on top. Tonya was able to give me a short, easy style that met my goals. She's terrific! more
