It used to be good 9/16/2009

Poor service. Expect to wait for any help. Rarely see the same server twice, they seem to have a high turnover on the wait staff. Games are cool. Food is average. Pros: Plenty of TVs Cons: Poor service more

Great views of the Marina! 8/7/2008

This place has a wide variety of food to choose from but the service stinks at least in the restaurant. Went on a Wednesday night about 8pm and had to wait for a table about 15 minutes with no reservation. So got a drink at the bar. The bar is very cool and nicely decorated with beer taps from all over the world. Drinks were good and loved all the tv's, would love to hang out here to watch a game. Finally got our table and probably should have eaten in the bar area because our ""Aussie"" waiter sucked. It really wasnt that busy so not sure what he was doing but our busboy was awesome wanted to leave him the tip. Pros: Views of the Marina Cons: Service more

Score for Tony Ps! 7/27/2008

I took my son to tony ps after his first soccer game...what a treat! We were seated quickly and the host (seeing my sons soccer jersey) asked him about his game. That made my son beyond happy because he got share how he made his first goal! After being seated I had a little bit of work to do...its okay my son was kept busy by playing with the bag of toys, crayons, and goodies he got along with his fun kids menu. That could have kept him busy for ages! He was doing crossword puzzles and coloring all kinds of fun things. Our meal was beyond tasty and so well priced. I had the fish and chips and my son had the mac n' cheese. The shell noodles was a nice touch seeing as we had a view of the ocean and all the boats. Half way through our meal my son knocked over his drink. It didnt matter...Tony ps gave him a child cup that even had a lid. There was no spilling and free refils! After we finished our meal I had the Key lime Pie. It was full of rich tastes! My son got his free dessert that came with his meal. Tony P's was a great experience and a perfect way to top off my son's excitment to his first soccer game. We are going make next weekend to try their breakfast!!! more

Tony Ps helped me! 7/27/2008

I live in the Marina area and constantly hear about tony ps. I recently moved here and have a lot of trouble meeting people because of my time consuming job. An older gentleman at my work suggested I go to Tony Ps for a sports game because I am a huge sports fan. I am so glad I did! Tony ps has a wonderful tavern area. I have never seen so many big screens in my life! I felt I was practically in the game. The Bartender was delightful. She told me all about the liquor selection and different drinks to choose from. I decided on a Mai Tai. It was so goood! I felt as if I was in Hawaii! Also watching the game were lost of regular and nice looking people. I was wearing the same jersey as one of them so we started to talk. That night I made so many new friends! Now every time our teen plays we go to Tony Ps to enjoy it! On Mondays we try to go as well for 30% off Mondays. You actually get 30% off your check! The food is to die for! The waiters are always so promt and friendly. I must say that Tony Ps has made it much easier for me to move. I found my new favorite restaurant and made friends to last a life time. I highly suggest it! Pros: New people, great tavern, amazing food Cons: I wish there was a Tony ps back home!! more

Best restaurant! 7/25/2008

This was my first time going to TonyPs. I was recommended by many of my friends who have previously ate their and had nothing but positive things to say about it. I thought all the hype my friends were giving it was overexaggerated. But when i actually experienced the restaurant for myself, I completely hands-down agreed with all of my friends. The service was great. Got seated right away and the hostess and waiter very friendly and sociable. The bread was to die for and my family and I went through a couple baskets. I ordered the clam chowder as my appetizer and it was seriously the best one I have ever had! Honestly no other compares to it! And for my main entree i had the chicken parmasean, which was scrumptious. The portion was immense but I was fine with that because I enjoyed it the following day as my lunch. I tried some of my family members meals like the lemon chicken and macaroni and cheese which were equally delicious. Overall i 100% recommend this fine dining establishment. You will not be disappointed! Pros: food, service, generous portions, and a fun little bag filled with toys to keep the children occupied Cons: nothing more

Awesome in every sense of the word 7/25/2008

One night, myself and a friend were debating on a choice of fine eatery. We thought of the ""Wherehouse"" but it was too expensive and not right for a guys night out. We thought of many more restaurants that were not suited to our liking. Then out of the blue our buddy calls and tells us to join him at Tony P's for the night. This was the best choice we could have made. We arrived and were greeted by a very friendly valet service that took our car and took care of it. Once inside the ambiance of the entry way gave a vibrant feeling to how the experience of the night would ensue. The hostess was very nice and took us to our buddies table immediately. The waiter was there not ten seconds after we sat and immediately began to pamper and take care of us. We all ordered our food and it was delivered very fast. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and to no surprise the food was like the service, top notch and very good. While eating the entrepreneurs of the establishment, were making rounds to check on their patrons dining experience. They were very friendly and down to earth. Our table had nothing but praise for them to hear. After our main course they had a desert menu with something I had never seen, ""Lil Sumthin Sumthins"". These our little shot glasses filled with various desserts. I had the pleasure of tasting the hot fudge sundae dessert and it was to die for. The night sadly was ended after about two hours of fun at this exciting, hip restaurant. We left the restaurant full, wallets and stomachs. This restaurant is one if not the best dining experience in LA. Everyone needs to eat there once, because after that one time you will be hooked for life, like me. Pros: EVERYTHING Cons: NOTHING more

Two Very Different Experiences and all in the same evening!! 6/8/2008

This is the first time I have been prompted to review. A girlfriend and I decided to head to Tony P's for a late afternoon meal. It was not crowded so we found seats in the bar immediately! We were waited on promptly. Great service from our intial waitress, Kazia ( thanks!) The crabcake appetizer was great...the mango salsa made it. So we spent about 70 bucks on 2 appetizers and 2 drinks a piece. Plus a nice tip! Well the tide changed when NBA finals game time came. It was a $10 cover to sit in the same spot and watch a ""free"" TV event on THEIR TVs. We were told there was no way we could save a seat for another girlfriend who was on the way and about to pay her $10! They were about to seat another couple at our 4 seat table! We were then told by a new waitress that we needed to give her credit card...you know...just in case we got drunk during the game and walked out without paying!!! Well needless to say after spending $70+ there, we refused. Within a few minutes, the host ""Patrick"" and our previous waitress came over. The new waitress dropped us, just that quickly. We were told we needed to leave the card. We were also told that there was no bad food at Tony P's ( an unsolicited comment from Patrick) and if we thought it was bad then we might want to head to one of the other establishments along Admiralty, because Tony P's must not suit our pallette!! WHAT THE.....???? ( See comment above..crabcakes were actually good...the rest of the food ( quesadilla; fish and chips) were edible but very bland! So I guess they go into a totally different mode when attempting to pull in the extra money for the special games! Service was great and friendly during the 2 hours we spent in the bar before the game. But after paying the $10 cover, we were assumed to be check-skipping, complaining, unhappy patrons... Pros: One waitress, Kazia, the crabcakes, the cocktails! Cons: The host , the second waitress, game seating arrangement, game cover charge! more

Best Food in Town 6/1/2008

I went to Tony P's because I heard about from a couple of my friends who always rave about how amazing it is. So i went and ordered the Alfredo Pasta and they were right, it was amazing. The food was delicious. It was served with bread that i could eat with the pasta. Both were great. i then had some dessert i got a mini dessert of this thing called a tuxedo cake. It was amazing and that topped of a great meal. I now rave about it with my friends and we go there every Thursday night for drinks after work. Pros: desserts more

Great for A weekend out 6/1/2008

The atmosphere is a fun place with a great view. The food was great, I had a chicken sandwich and chocolate cake for dessert. Both were excellent. The service was great and the servers was very nice. Perfect for a night out with your friends or loved one. The mood can be however you want it. Outside or inside with friends or romantic dinner. The tavern for drinks with the girls or boys. What ever the occasion Tony P's is the place for it. I have been going here for 3 months now and i have not had a bad experience once. Pros: GREAT PLACE more

Highly Recommended 6/1/2008

OK food & service 4/6/2008

Went there on a saturday night for a late dinner...we sat on the patio which has a nice view of the boats. Food was OK - I had the linguine with mussels which was good but my garlic bread was cold and tasted old. My friend had the steak and shrimp which he said was just OK. The service was good although kind of informal. The restaurant was quite loud and I wouldnt recommend it for a date, probably better for a large group of people. Pros: Nice view of the boats Cons: Rowdy customers more

Tony P's was delightful 3/26/2008

I loved Tony P's as soon as the valet parked my car. The delicious smell from outside the restaurant was unforgettable. The service was very good with our server friendly as can be. Our food was timed correctly starting with the soups and waiting till we finished them and then brought out the entree. The food was delicious. I started with Clam Chowder and had Chicken Parmesan both were very good. The view was amazing and made our dining that much more enjoyable. I would highly recommend to anyone to go to Tony P's for a delicious meal. Pros: portions extremely generous more

Love Me Some Tony P's! 3/14/2008

What's not to like about Tony P's? You can either watch any sporting event on one of their twenty or so TV's (they have all of the sports packages) and enjoy the full menu in the great bar; or you can sit out in the restaurant and enjoy views of the marina. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful, and the owners Tony and Danny are great, too. The menu is broad (from burgers and other sandwiches to seafood and steaks to pasta dishes), and the prices are very reasonable. They also have a great drink menu if you're looking to try something different, and the 20 beers on tap cover all tastes. Another thing I love is the parking- they have a huge lot, so no problems there (sometimes this is valet, but it's only like $3). Pros: Best sports bar in LA, super staff, reasonable prices, menu variety, tons of parking Cons: Florida Gator fans on Saturdays during football (very rude jean shorts wearers) more

Very Mediocre Food 3/13/2008

What is going on with citysearch? This is the second restaurant I am rating today that says it has 5 starts when numerous people have given it less. They need to fix their rating system. This place is about 3 stars, but it does have a fun atmosphere. I have eaten in both the restaurant, with a beautiful veiw of the marina, and the bar, which is fun and loud. This is a great place if you want to have a drink with a bunch of buddies or to watch a sporting event. They can fit several large parties and have tons of televisions. The reason I gave it three stars is that the food is average at best. The quesadillas are okay. The desserts are disgusting. I mean horrible. The key lime pie is tasteless and their chocolate brownie things is sickening. None of my party of three wanted to finish it and we all thought it was gross. Like I said, go if you want to have a drink and hang out with friends. Don't expect the food to be much and stay away from the nast desserts. more

Go There Often! 1/27/2008

I personally love the food at Tony P's. There are two different atmospheres at the restaurant. There is the bar area with TVs present, and there is a candle lit deck seating or candle lit booth table seating. The food is fabulous. I love to order the Alfredo Pasta sometimes the one with salmon. The host and hostesses are very outgoing and always approach with a warming smile. I recommend this restaurant to all people. GO ENJOY TONY P'S ON ADMIRALTY WAY!! more

best food in town! 1/27/2008

I went with my boyfriend for my birthday dinner to Tony P's. The hostess seated us after waiting a short 5 minute wait on a busy Saturday evening .My boyfriend ordered the Alfredo pasta and I ordered The Flat Iron Steak. Let me tell you, the food was yummy and the service was great. I had a fantastic 30th birthday dinner and I highly recommend this restaurant to any one who is in the mood for great food and great service. more

Sick for a Day 8/11/2007

Totally disappointing and completely wrecked our Saturday. Had breakfast there Saturday August 11th. The coffee we were served was full of the cleaning substance used to clean the coffee makers (this was after we were told the latte machine wasn't working) The food was mediocre, and in fact, gave us both a bellyache that has lasted 24 hrs. It's Sunday morning and I still don't feel well -- we've both been unable to eat anything since that meal. (And frankly, we didn't even finish what we were served.) Can't recommend, and will never eat there again. (This was our first, and only, visit,) Pros: View of Sailboats Cons: Horrible Food. more
