oh, Tito's 3/9/2005

Tito's isn't about gourmet or authentic Mexican food. it's about satisfying a primal need for the drippy, salty, greasy, crunchy low-brow pleasure of two shredded beef crispy tacos with cheese and a root beer with crushed ice among the masses. Tito's is orange grease dripping off your fingers into a cardboard tray, weak but fresh salsa scooped onto that iceberg lettuce peeking out of said tacos. put your "foodie" hat in the back seat and just enjoy it, kids. Pros: tacos with cheese, root beer, friendly fast service Cons: greasy, parking is a pain more

This is an average place at best!!! 2/27/2005

I'm not sure why people feel so compelled to frequent Tito's. There menu is SMALL. Their specialty, deep fried beef tacos, resemble Taco Bell/Del Taco fair more than any traditional cuisine. Forget about veggie options. There are none. This is not the place I would take anyone craving real mexican food - at best it's serviceble, Americanized, Atkins-ized food. Cons: long lines, lack of seating more

Awesome! 2/10/2005

I've always driven by this local restaurant and thought nothing of it. I finally stopped in, at the request of my friend, and had a fantastic and filling meal for around $5. yes, $5. The service was fast even though the line was long. The food was hot and good quality. I will go back again and again. Pros: great food, great value Cons: potentially crowded, limited seating more

OK tacos, skip the burritos 2/4/2005

Obviously, one doesn't go to a taco shack expecting ambiance, so Tito's needs to be evaluated on its food. Overall, Tito's was a mixed experience, although their food can be described as average at best. The crunchy, thick-shelled tacos are the best item, and the shredded beef filling was less greasy than you might expect. Our meat was accompanied solely by some lettuce and cheese, so I think that we'd hate the cheaper taco without cheese. Their chips are exactly the same as the taco shells, so if you like thick chips, these will do. The salsa is plentiful and isn't completely horrible, although it could definitely use more spice and flavor. However, their ""burritos"" are an insult to the term. Stuffing a tortilla full of bland, stewed meat does not a burrito make! Avoid these at all cost. more

So so 1/31/2005

This isn't authentic Mexican food, the tacos are okay and the salsa is mediocre as well. Not spicy at all...I don't think I would wait that long for tacos here, not worth it. more

Highly recommend 1/29/2005

This is a place where movies execs, families, student and television stars come to. There food is reasonably priced and their chips and salsa are to die for. I met my good friend in college at CSUN because we discussed tito's in culver city. There is a LOT people who come there, so expect to get food in a half an hour. The only wish from my sisters friend from tennessee was to bring back tito's. Highly recommend!!!!! Don't expect healthy food or a salad side. Pros: inexpensive , delicious, family place Cons: Parking, Crowded , People complaining more

Good Treat 9/30/2004

Ok, for first timers...Tito's is NOT Mexican food. From TJ to Cancun, you will never find Tito's type food anywhere in Mexico. BUT, this place is a good institution. Like Pink's. The food is good as long as you're only expecting to eat. Don't come here if you think much about ambiance or quality or service. Come if you're hungry and only have $5. The tacos and burritos are good, but don't expect Carne Asada. The salsa grew on me after 15yrs. Tito's is comfort food when you want to treat yourself to something different. Make sure you get it to go, cause it's hard getting a table. Pros: Cheap, Salsa Cons: , No Tables more

I have loved it from the start! 9/10/2004

I began eating at Tito's when I was in high school and it opened on Sepulveda. I have loved it since. I have moved to No Calif, New Mexico and now Oregon and visit Tito's every time I go to LA. I have even had burrito's shipped to me and they are still great. Pros: Food, Food!, Service more
