Best

We traveled to Boston this past weekend, and Tia's was our favorite place that we dined at. We came here for Mother's Day and were very impressed with the specials and the quality...

Worst

TIa's is a nice place but completely overrated. not worth the time or the money

Editorial review from Citysearch 1/28/2013

I came to Boston on a business trip in the Fall. Out of all the places I tried Tia’s was the best for seafood. I went to Tia’s on a chilly Saturday and tried a twin lobster and chowder and it was delicious. I was still able to sit outside and enjoy the view because they had clear sides down and heaters on, it felt like the summer out there. The service was great and so was the food I would love to try Tia’s in the summer and get to see the place in action, which I heard is the spot to be in the summer. more

Tia's on the Waterfront is hands down my favorite spot April-October. This is a place that is great for anyone. I come here mostly with people from work during the week. They have the best afterwork crowd in the area. Tia's is filled with attractive business people Monday through Friday during the week. I have also come here on dates and it is a beautiful place for a date night, whether your just having cocktails or dinner. The last time I came to Tia's was in October and was for a private party, I would defiantly recommend trying Tia's if you are looking to host an event. We had a private section, great waitresses and all the food was wonderful. I can't wait for Tia's to reopen this spring! more

Great Food and Great Views! 5/14/2012

We traveled to Boston this past weekend, and Tia's was our favorite place that we dined at. We came here for Mother's Day and were very impressed with the specials and the quality of food! Not to mention our service from the hostess to the management was top notch. I had the surf and turf and it was delicious, another member of my family got the Baked Stuffed and looked great. We got a chance to meet one of the managers and he was fantastic gave us advice on places to see in Boston, very nice guy and more than accommodating. I recommend Tia's to anyone looking for a great seafood with a nice view. more

Great Opening 4/22/2012

We went to Tia's last weekend for their opening and it was fantastic. The weather was great and the patio was packed. We tried some of their new appetizers and they were really. Our favorite still is the boneless buffalo wings! I am glad that they are reopened for the summer we always have a great time. Great food and great service and you can Tia's for anyone looking to get away from the college crowd and enjoy a beautiful outdoor patio with great drinks and food. more

Fantastic Outdoor Bar and Restaurant 4/3/2012

Our fist trip to Boston was June of 2011 and we'll be back this summer. Tia's is definitely on the list for repeat restaurants. Walk the Freedom Trail, end at the USS Constitution, take the ferry to Long Warf. Tia's is a very short walk off the ferry. Fantastic outdoor restaurant and bar. It was the perfect ending to our day walking the Freedom Trail. The setting at Tia's is relaxing and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the summer weather. The food and service is excellent. more

Great Summer Spot! 3/8/2012

I can't wait for Tia's to re-open in the Spring. This is one of my favorites in the Summer, best place for people watching! I had been coming here for years for their huge outside bar. Which is great for after work drinks and a great place or singles! A friend old me about Tia's great food and lobster specials... She was right they have the best lobster deals in town and a large variety of food on their menu. I would highly recommend Tia's for both dining and bar scene!! more

Worst Service in Boston 7/3/2011

The worse service in Boston! On a hot 4th of July weekend we went for an early dinner at Tia?s with the hopes to have a nice Seafood dinner. We opted to wait for inside seating for a cooler option and were asked to wait. Waiting for a table for two wasn?t a big deal until we realized that people that came after us are being seated. 15 minutes later we complain and are asked to sit at the bar while we wait, we politely refuse as we would like to sit at a table for dinner. The staff promised to get us a table for two as soon as they can. This is course leads to us getting a table next to a party of 8, at a broken table near the kitchen which holds 4, when a perfectly good table by the window with a view of the bay for two is being given to a couple who just walked in. Huh??? I immediately asked to be moved to something that wasn?t broken and was told no; that was all they could do. Excuse me, what about the three tables?s pushed together for a table of six? I asked for one o more

Great Party 5/16/2011

I came here last weekend for my friends Bridal Shower and it was a great party. We were against poor weather, but the set up was gorgeuos! I will be reccomending Tia's to all my friends for parties and large groups. It was cold so we were sitting outside under heaters, it was more than comfortable. The service and food was outstanding. Our waitresses were very attentive and all smiles! The bartender also made great bloody marys. All around it was a great party! more

best patio 5/10/2011

I am so glad that Tia's is open for the summer. You will find me on their patio all summer long. I have always meet friends hear after work because the have such a large patio, with great views. This is defiantly the place to be when the weather is nice. Last week we came to Tia's a for dinner and it was awesome. I Usually just hang out at the bar, but I will be back for dinner for sure. I had heard they have the best baked stuffed lobster in town and that is true. It is the best ia have had and I have lived in New England my whole life. In the past I have always recommended Tia's for their bar, I also want to recommend Tia's for lunch/dinner.. Try the baked stuffed lobster you'll love it! more

Best place for after work drinks!! 3/30/2011

I can't wait for Tia's to open for the season! After a long cold snowy winter I am looking forward to having dinner and drinks on their patio! Me and my friends always meet here for drinks after work. The place gets packed but it is worth it! Me and my boyfriend also come here for dinner and are never disapointed with the meal or service. I can see why Tia's has been so popular in Boston for such a long time! more

SEASON IS APPROACHING!! 3/29/2011

It has to be that time of year......Red Sox and Tia's!.......2 of my favorite things come spring/summer......you know the weather is turning toward the better once these 2 get rolling.......opening day for sox is April 8th, then just a week later is the opening day for Tia's on the 14th........can't wait for the boneless buffies, a few beers, and the outdoor scene on the patio......bring on the sun! more

GREAT seafood! 7/12/2010

I've lived in Boston for a few years now and this HAS to be the largest outdoor patio I've seen! And the food was awesome! Boston itself is expensive but the quality is great for what you're paying for. And their lobster menu? cant beat it...they go from a single 1 lb to a baked stuffed! Service and staff are friendly and outgoing and are pretty helpful with suggestions. the bar seems packed at night, but seems like a chill nightlife scene...will definitely be back and recommending Pros: fantastic food, great view, on the water! Cons: no substitutions, crowded bar more

Eight weeks til opening, but whose counting 2/25/2010

After a LONG, COLD winter there are only 8 weeks before we can get to the waterfront and enjoy Tia's again. Can't wait to sit outside and enjoy a cocktail while eating some great food. My taste buds are craving a baked stuffed lobster. Welcome Back Tia's for another season. Pros: outdoors after a long miserable winter...great food Cons: that it is closed for 5 months more

Always looking forward to the summer because of it. 1/19/2010

Every summer I look forward to going into the city and having dinner at Tia's. The food there is fantastic (extremely delicious I might add) and the service is great. From the moment you walk in, the hostess greets you with a smile and the waiters are very attentive. I've made sure that any friend or family member that comes to visit me, goes to Tia's and tries out their delicious food. So far, none of them have had anything bad to say about it except that I made a great choice in bringing them there. Definitely can't wait for this winter season to end so I can go back there! Pros: Service, food, and the view Cons: I live far from it. more

i don't forget it exists...... 1/19/2010

every year at this time, i get thru the bitter cold winter with the thought that Tia's is only 3 months from re-opening......it's nice to have the option to sit outside or inside, get great service, enjoy the many options of food, and definate people watch.....the crowd is dressed nice and makes you want to mingle......i find it fun to be in a restaurant that is busy and has a great bar scene, so you get the best of both worlds. Pros: service, view, cocktails, food, atmosphere Cons: no drawbacks more

great food, great palce to meet people 1/19/2010

For many years my friends and I have been going to the bar at Tia's, mostly because ""it's the place to be"". Come April ,what is better than a drink ouside by the water. A few years ago my friends and I decided to check out the restaurant. We always thought that it was a ""bar"". \r \r We had dinner outside on the dining room side, away from the busy bar. To our surprise, the meal was amazing. We started out with the incredible buffalo wings. They were the best we ever had. For dinner we had a seafood sizzler, twin lobster special and the salmon. The food was so delicious we were trying figure out when our next trip back would be. My friends and I were all in agreement that the restaurant at Tia's is a hidden gem. People always think of Tia's as one of the best bars in Boston............you have to try the dining room. You will not leave disappointed.\r \r I can't wait for April for them to re-open!!!!!! Pros: great social scene, food is aamazing Cons: haven't found one yet more

I forget it exists... 1/13/2010

which speaks volumes to my experiences there. Boston is so rich with options, and I love the waterfront. However, as most of Boston can offer you places on the waterfront, there really is nothing special about Tia's that makes me want to come back. I have tried the after work drink crowd, and where I can agree with the people watching, I find it weird that no one integrates with each other. People watching is one thing, but I like to mingle, and socialize. If I wanted to only people watch, I could go sit at a restaurant or watch reality television. I have tried their menu for lunch - and the prices for New England food are just too much for only an average meal. I believe Tia's gets a lot of hype for its location, but in all reality it is too far from most of the Boston nightlife that makes going out on the town worth it. Pros: its on the water Cons: same old same old more

Good for afterwork drinks 1/7/2010

Tia's isnt the best choice for seafood in Boston, but the location is great for happy hour in the summer. If you are looking for drinks with a view, this is a great place to start in the summer. Drink prices are expensive, but you are paying for the location. Get there early, as the line builds in the summer after 5pm. more
