I wish I could give Thomas negative stars! Our first mistake was inviting them into our house. My wife responded to an offer from Thomas for a free estimate on windows that included a coupon for $1000 off. We made the appointment which we were told would last 1 hour. I took the afternoon off work and waited... Thomas didn't show. We called and our appointment had been ""lost"". When the salesman finally showed we endured a 2 hour pitch that included infomercial type experiments with heat lamps that was supposed to show how their window was better then anything else. Finally we were presented with an estimate of over $15,000 for 9 windows! I told the salesman that we weren't going to purchase windows that day and thanks for coming. He wouldn't leave, reducing the price with various discounts to $13,000. Then the best part - he called his boss to see what he would authorize and nobody was there to take his call. But he assured us that he could drop the price to $10,000 if we signed that day. The offer would expire that very day. What a joke. Over $1000 for a window. It was a huge waste of 3 hours. Just had a three hour in home estimate from these guys and couldn't believe the extent they go through for the sign on the spot pressure sale. Who spends over $10k without considering alternatives, or at least sleeping on it? Thomas Construction wouldn't even give me 24 hours to think about it. Honestly, if you believe in the value of your services or product, you don't need high pressure antics. After about an hour and a half I was just plain uncomfortable and said multiple times that I couldn't decide immediately. The salesperson just kept trying different angles, and ultimately resorted to questioning my maturity and intelligence. WRONG APPROACH, GUYS!!! Anyway, if you want to use Thomas Construction, just keep them in your house for three hours and you will see at $15,000 project magically turn into a $8500 one. (BUT ONLY IF YOU SIGN RIGHT NOW!!!!!) Citysearch would not let me post my remarks without giving this company a one-star rating, but I would give it a negative-five-star rating.\r \r This past week the ""Sweepstakes Department"" called and said that my mom's name had been pulled from the Alton Square contest which she entered and she'd won a $1,000 discount for home improvements to be done by Thomas Construction.\r \r MY MOM DIED THREE YEARS AGO.\r \r During that week I'd actually been calling local companies to give me estimates for some home improvement work. After Thomas' scam call, I wouldn't consider them even if they did the work for free. more

I just had a sunroom installed by these guys. The worst experience I've ever had with any service company. Darren Reagan, the project manager at Thomas, is very rude and only responds when you threaten him. The concrete company that they hired, Bacchus Construction, did not take the time to learn the code in my city and failed inspections because of it. There is gaps in the walls where caulk was not properly applied. Its going to take a lot of my time to fix what I hired these schmucks to do. I will never use this company again. After talking to others this seems to be a general feeling. If you read a review on this page, make sure it is someone who has had more than a salesman in the house talking about windows, make sure it is someone who dealt with them. Do not use these guys or you will be dissapointed. Pros: They have to write me a healthy check due to their idiocy in construction. Cons: I have to clean up my yard and fix their mistakes. more

The person that wrote that horrible recommendation seems like a person that is never satisfied with anything! I would discount what was said. This company's window product is exceptional! If I had the funds now, I would have Thomas Construction not only install eight windows in the front side of my house, but all the windows in the back, including the one that has cracked glass.\r \r Their workmanship without question is exceptional based on the referrals provided me and the product demonstrated in front of me.\r \r MC, you are the best salesman I have ever encountered!!!!! :-)\r \r Shame on that customer that says they were treated poorly by Thomas Construction. Every job that Thomas did on our house (basement windows, gutters, tub liner, sliding door) has been messed up and had to have repairs done. The customer service people have been rude and never return calls when they say they are going to. We have had to deal with this for months and have had to go all the way to the owner of the company and they are still trying to give us inferior repairs for the tub liner and sliding door that we have been trying to get fixed for 3 months. I am soooo sorry that I ever hired Thomas construction to do any work in my house. Pros: can't think of any Cons: bad product, bad instalation, rude customer service, no returned calls more
